Crush does about the same damage for Lift, and it has -fly. Since it does more damage ticks then the AoE immob. You could in theory fly to the ceiling of sirens call, hit a stalker chasing you, and the DOT effect of it +the neg fly would basically one shot him.
Plus its good for setting up containment. -

I played Hero side, and I tried an Inv/Axe build, and an NRG/NRG Blaster.
The Axe Tanker did poorly. The night I went on, it seems the villains were all testing the high-level Elec Brutes and Thug MMs. With the rampant Energy damage from Electric Melee flying around, combined with Inv's low Energy Resistance means I didn't last too terribly long. Axe is all lethal damage, and since everyone and their brother has S/L resists, Axe does pretty lame damage.
The Energy^2 Blaster did much better: Energy damage was a godsend, as I could actually do damage. I spent a lot of time flying around Sniper Blasting people... Anyone who TP Foe'd me was met with Nova. BOOM!
I now know what Gang War is designed to do. Swarm a Player with so much crap their computer stalls, ensuring an immobile, inactive target.

I tend to agree, actually. I think END-reduction Enhancements need to be bumped to a better Schedule. Something that gets them to 40% or 50% each as of SOs, I'd say - even if you suffered pretty harsh ED after just the ONE or TWO of them.

The end redux SO's need a major buff, its insane! 75% of the time I didn't even notice they were there even triple slotted. For example, I tested out an illu/sonic, running Stamin 3 slotted, Sup Inviz 3 slotted end redux, and hover. I'd get maybe 4 attacks out of blind/decieve/spec wounds and a few clarity buffs to my teammates and I'd drop out of the sky! thats absurd I know Sup Inviz is end heavy but come on 3 end redux and stamina it sucking that much, plus an end redux in all my attacks and clarity (and we know hover takes almost no stamina).
I love ED with the exception of not being able to six slot stamina! Dev's please fix End Redux now! -

I decided I'm going to start a huge list of all issues pertaining to level 50 PvP, and this Zone in particular:
FIRST AND FOREMOST ..The constant mez-fest. Every AT in the game can get get a Mez, and SOME At's get a Mez PLUS Mez protection. In PvP, this MUST BE ADDRESSED DEVS AND YOU ALL KNOW IT. Because it leads to the following:
-"Squishies" being unplayable/useless/killed within 2 seconds of the start of fights.
-Constant "Jousting" by Melee chars who take off over HALF your HP's AND mez you in the same hit.
-"Range as defense" being being the most gimped "defense" in the game.
-Maintining Crucial toggles impossible
-"Haves and Have-Nots" situations (*/*/Psi trollers becoming tank mages)
-Forced Min/Max teaming and the exlusion of Debuff-Based Corrs/Defs/MM's....
-Doms only being playable IF they have BF's and their opponents have none = BINARY
-ALL Longbow having Mezzes = Extra squishy Debt and lots of it.
- "SR Scrapper City" ...Ellude means NEVER being held, EVAR...by ANYTHING.
-Killstealing: You finally hold something... some Scrapper/Stalker jerk runs up and takes credit
-NPC Killstealing: Same as above only now you caused someone debt on accident.
-Being chainheld while controlling a Pill-Box = Turrets do nothing (Turrets SHOULD default to aggressive)
-Being TP'd out of bodyguard range and held = instagank (can't change to Defensive mode when held)
How to counter this? I propose that any attack which causes mezzing/immob should in-turn suppress all of that user's own Mez protection for the duration of the mez they attacked with.... exclusively in PvP of course. It's too late to remove mezzing from the game, but we can still make it a fair playing field.
Other issues:
-AV's spawning +4 the pillboxes they're only supposed to "Help" Retake ...This totally Trivializes "Heavies"
-Wardens on every corner...totally owning 90% of Arachnos troops
-Wardens starting fights with MM pets and the pets aggroing back b/c they're set to Defensive
-Most Squishies being worthless for "Heavy" and Pillbox control: IE: instaganked.
-MM's OTH, almost unkillable when controlling Pillboxes. (And My MM only had 3 pets!)
-Scrappers, Brutes, and Stalkers only leaving their bases when their "Ultimates" were up.
-Can only recruit players by watching Broadcast... search window doesn't limit by "Instance"
-/Whoall command should ONLY show players up top... not the ones down inside the bases.
-SS + SJ FTW! ...Every ganker in the game had this... why aren't these toggles mutually exlusive?
-Almost No one is rolling squishy support builds...thus no one is safe rolling squishy support builds...Irony?
-Why don't MM's in bodyguard mode get Teleport-Foe resistance like all other +DEF sets?
-Why doesn't the 1-HP rule penalize everyone equally by applying a No-Regen debuff?
-Why isn't there a gateway to switch Instances directly? ...zoning to G-V first takes too long.
-I also saw people in Every zone, including Mercy and PO... isn't this allowing them to buy INSP's?
And one last.. MAJOR... issue: The "Teaming fixes AT-imbalances" MYTH... Umm, NO. This game currently is NOT built around Teaming balancing out PvP, it's built around Teaming = Better ganksquad and that's all. The AT's that do the ganking solo, still do all the ganking when teamed, only faster. And the AT's that get ganked in 1-on-1 only get ganked quicker by another team. You can't tell me that a Team of Dominators is even remotely comparable in power or ultility to a team of Scrappers. And mixing up the AT's doesn't help either unless they're all Min/Maxxed to become Tank-Mages when combined. IE: Defenders and Corruptors, need a buddy system just to do their jobs... all other low damage or AT's without self-heals/StatuProtecion require a "Pocket-Empath" and Buffbot...
Tell us Devs... is it fair to look at this unfair situation and take it to mean that you Condone "Triple Boxing" in order for any build except Regens / IceArmors / SR/Nin's to be able to compete in PvP? We all know the dataming shows that "buffbots" and "healers" have no incentive to venture out into the fray and actually "participate" actively in PvP... What's up with that and why are you still silent about it after 3 very very long Updates since PvP was first implimented in Issue-4? Are you trying to tell us that only those who can afford 3 accounts should be allowed to choose and compete?

I don't see it listed anywhere in the power set descriptions. Throw this in with no heal and this could be problematic at the higher levels (or god forbid if you have to deal with Vahz).
So far, elec resists seem to be ok, aside from no heal - I am getting this at 26 - ouch.
Having a hole - I am not sure I am enthusiastic about having no resists to toxic given that I can't boost my hp in any way and I "have to" pool out for a heal.
I am just posting this up to see if anyone else noticed this.

Team with a sonic corruptor. or better yet team with a /sonic corruptor and a /ff mastermind. that way you get hit less, take less damage with each hit, and both have fairly good tox buffs in the sets. I find the /sonics fairly common on freedom and champ. -

I am pleased with the way the set has been built...unfortunately if I decide to roll one on live I'm sure I'll have to take the acro/and aid self...whatever, that just means I'll get to take less of my primary and secondary powers unfortunately becuase God knows we'll need stamina
(hate being forced to take that, woudln't mind so bad if it was first or second tier, get rid of swift/hurdle totally devs please!). However my main reason for posting this is.. after playing my electric brute for a good hour or so straight. I started to get a headache. feel queasy I figured I was getting sick, so I turned the game off, layed down...played again the next day 1 hour, head ache. and repeated that one more day. I find the shield animation visually offensive, and I'm thinking that may be the cause of it... anyone else experience this?

While the toggle drop values seem a little low right now(i think def, corr and 1st power of a dom should have a little better chance) (i also think the dom 2nd power should be a bit lower like 33% maybe)I think there would be a perfect way to still actually have people think it's worth it to get in there for toggle drops even though the danger has increased significantly for squishies
I think there should be a 2 minute recharge debuff on any power that has been toggle dropped, otherwise toggle drops dont mean much to tanks and such as they can throw it back on in 2 seconds, this way any tank that has a toggle dropped would be in a bit of danger and actually get scared

You can its called a hold. (breakfrees do run out)
Theres also disorients.
There's also Build up Assassin Strike Placate then critical. (a trip to the hospital does stop a blaster from using powers fora while....at minimum 30sec. at Max, until they can find you again.)
But I do think the original suggestion is a bad idea. I just had to point out the FLAWED reasoning from the other poster. -
OK. I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this or if I need to start a new thread (God forbid!)...but since it happens ON THE WAY TO RV...I figure what the heck.
I have noticed some new "changes" to Atlas Park. With out getting into specs. I do have above the recommended RAM, Video Card, Processor etc. But Atlas park's city hall seems to be screwing up observe the links below ... and apparently its happening to no one else. Also either I'm dumb...or I never noticed the shiny blue bricks on city hall's exterior, while uber fabulous I think may be the root of the problem.

As you can tell upclose there is a bunch of pixilated garbage stuff. It reminds me of when a Nintendo cartridge would mess up and you'd have to blow on it.... thats kinda how it looks.
So...I bugged it in game, and am posting it here out of lack of a better place to put it. -
Also...why is there no official thread for "Heavies". I'm still having trouble finding out where to pick one up for a hero. I've seen the Villian Spider platforms...but can't find the hero location.

Conversely, Galaxy City is usually comparitively empty and quiet.
May I suggest we move the entrance to Recluse's Victory to the Data office in Galaxy?
It would drive a little traffic to this underused zone, be gentler on low-end machines, and other-wise be easier on the level 50's who have to travel through the low zone to get there.

im with you on that, boy nothing like wiffing against someone running elude and they just kick your butt while in retsu, funny thing how retsu and elude are the same power and with scrapper having 50% more hp's being unable to hide from them and they negating half your defense with a toggle, i felt like i was punished for killing all those unprepared noobs that had no tactics in the past.
the only scrappers i can officially pawn are Dark Armor ones, the rest totally were rocking me tonight. eh the tanks still sucked but what can they do besides taunt and take a beating. needless to say even buffs on a team didnt save my behind tonight, kin corruptors are cool and all but nothing can stop a scrapper running elude with FA except, well FA.
i guess if i had 5 sets of tactics running i could have done it, but tonight showed me my first complete A$S woopin in awhile.

One thing that always turns me off to going to Warburg in CoH when Im leaving a toon in the 40-50 range...it takes so long to get there from pi. And my 50 is parked in the Hive, so thats a long hike too. This is one thing that was well done about CoV...all the gates to the PvP zones are in the according PvE zone.
Is there anyway we could do one of the following...
1. Make an enterance to RV in pi
2. Make a gate that takes us to atlas from pi
3. Move the RV enterance alltogether

ok to defend the OP on this... I'm not sure how you have a level 50 tank and not know that the Telepads in COH are crap compared to the Pads in COV. We have way more zones then they do, and our telepads only go to zones that are really crappy. Yeh you can TP to the hollows to get to Atlas, but what about the return trip? Villians can use thier pads to go to every non PVP zone. I think heroes should be able to as well. -

grrr that is so unfortunate...those early levels are hard, having to get 2 almost useless powers (swift/hurdle) and your travel power starter...makes for that a lame task forceand I have all the others. I actually don't mind Sister psyche's lasting 6 hours because its fun and you have a decent amount of powers... I'm so sad I have to go back and do stupid positron!

Since Hurricane is so easily countered by any AT that can fight at range, and the nerf calls didn't appear to be coming from heroes who found themselves helpless against Hurricane in Warburg, I have to assume that most of the nerf calls came from Stalkers and Brutes. Since the pvp stalker population is so much larger than the pvp brute population, I'll draw the conclusion that the most complaints about hurricane came from stalkers, and more specifically those without ranged attacks.
Unfortunately, with Energy Melee being widely known as one of the most damaging primaries for an AT that has the highest kill/death ratio (by a ridiculous margin), the above group amounts to a significantly large population of complaining people.
And since EM stalkers can kill just about anything in under 10 seconds, it's very frustrating for them not to be able kill a hurricane user on their first pass.
Maybe I misunderstood a previous post from the devs, or they've just decided to go in a different direction than I was expecting. They said that stalkers kill/death ratio was significantly higher than any other AT in the pvp zones (or something to that effect), so I kinda figured they would be making moves to lower that kill/death ratio. Instead they significantly nerf a power that's primary use in pvp zones is stalker protection. A nerf that will lead to fewer stormers in pvp zones using the now reduced effectiveness Hurricane power, and another increase for the stalker kill/death ratio .
Is it not completely obvious why some stalkers are so happy about this change or felt it was "needed"?

1) Working on Oil Slick. I think I have the 'oil doesn't always light' bug fixed (hard to tell - it never failed on my box, but it was replicatable here.) I refered the 'wrong team in PvP zones' issue to programming.
2) Poison Gas Arrow -- this should work the same for all AT's now.

There are still a few more problems
1. Glue arrows recharge is too long for an early dependant on power
2. Flash arrows effect is too small for an early dependant on power.
3. Net arrow, single target immob's are still considered mostly useless except for controllers trying to initiate containment. Animation too long also.
4. acid arrows area is too small.
5. Disruption arrow is 3 times longer recharge and 2/3 the debuff of tar patch.
6. The rest of archery's animations are too long also.

can i just state real quick, I'm so tired of tanks telling me not to use my mele powers in missions, it drives me insane, and rarely do I die when using them; I wonder are they just jealous because my Total Focus does more damage then thiers esp when I turn on BU and AIM?

From level 2 to level 50, the words that still cause me to grit my teeth are "I'll pull" which means "I'll shoot at something and then wait for it to shoot back or possibly bring all of his friends over here" and everyone else in the team interprets this as "good, we'll stand right next to you and watch."
