  1. D4mn you all--I've lost 4 hours on the TV Trope site. That is the biggest Productivity killer since Userfriendly.org!

    DragonFyre –
Nice job combining this color scheme with the reptilian pieces. Definitely looks draconic. Maybe it’s just the screencaps, but the arm spikes on the upper arms almost blend in. Try to get some more contrast there. Everything else looks good. Definitely a prime candidate for Fire Breath.

    [/ QUOTE ]

It's the screencaps, I think. Try looking at them here .
  3. Here's a first run at it:

    Omega-Fire

Deep space astronaut James Steele exploration vehicle collided with an alien research craft. The artificial intelligence aboard the alien craft attempted to reconstruct itself from what remained. Ultimately the alien craft became part human. Steele's overriding desire to return home has brought him back to earth. Steel is obsessed with gathering information (a remnant of the alien programming) and has an incredible amount of storage memory. He manipulates solar power of the craft in the form of fire and thermal heat (he's a Fire/Thermal controller). He is in essence neither Steele nor the alien AI, but a new creation--dim memories of his previous lives haunt him even as he remains true to his heroic nature. He felt comfortable among the heroes of Paragon City and has made a home for himself there gathering information to understand himself and this world--both familiar and alien--he calls home.
  4. The dialog is really well written. I would prefer a bit more prose to bring out the subtleties of the stories and the characters, but great dialog is nothing to sneeze at.
  5. Ditto what Rowrsie said--2x

    Hmm

Excellent work as always, but, uh... her guns and hands are misaligned to the point of clipping through one another. Heck, on her right hand (our left), you can barely even see her index finger.

Might either wanna fix that, or be a little more careful in the future =)

    [/ QUOTE ]

Gah, I see what you mean. I'll fix that on the next version. It's not a matter of not being careful, but more a matter of having stared at the same piece for hours on end - you end up missing the most obvious items. Thanks for pointing it out.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I agree, that it does look a bit painted on--but it is still a great render in spite of that.--Fix it, as you plan to, and it will sing.
  7. Ditto on the gratz and the love--those are great.

What would you guys think if I replaced the Smurfs with Inspector Gadget in the foreground?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I fit's gadget, guarding his niece, and his hand popping out something that would make it a perfect parody of the X-men cover.

Here's a number of shots of my main man: DeWayne

    Happy birthday to you!
  11. Great work as usual! The face you've chosen for SG is just wonderful--the Power Girl is powerful and gorgeous--so many people fail to catch her feminine side and tend to draw her too mannish--yours is spot on though.
  12. Happy B-day--hope it's a great one.
  13. ****BUMP*****

Just in case somebody else might want in on the fun. Palette

I just want more people to play--I'm having as much fun making costumes as I've ever had playing the game--well, almost.

I can't resist any call to design a character:

    That's heavy, man.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'll hand it to ya'. You're good. Damn good.

    [/ QUOTE ]

It's true. I almost didn't post mine at all because yours was, frankly, everything I was trying to achieve with mine (and failed). LOL

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thank you. Don't sell yours short though.

    Winnah.

Bold, colorful and, most importantly, it doesn't use the giant afro when a more modest do will do. I like it.

I'm usually not a fan of blaxploitation characters (as they're often the *only* black characters I see), but this costume makes him look like a cheeky badass, and not like a disco clown.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thank you--it is a wonderful compliment. Exactly what I was going for.
  16. Don't ask why--I couldn't think and I couldn't sleep and I did this:

    Official No-Prize

Use it, don't use it, or make your own--I had nothing better to do with my time.
  17. Okay, fire/fire was really an obvious choice for this one--I fought with not doing it and finally gave in to it:

    Dragonfyre

He was cursed to be half-human and Half-dragon when he helped humans fight a corrupting coven. Unable to pronounce his real name, the Midnighters who found him named him Dragonfyre.
  18. I can't resist any call to design a character:

    That's heavy, man.
  19. Gorgeous piece--reminds me a bit of Neal Adams work.

    And the winners are...

    1st Place: Stygian Claw
    2nd Place: Black Mary Chino

Congratulations! You both win a no-prize!

    [/ QUOTE ]

    I'll cherish it always.
