Dang. That's downright sexy.
...What? I can't ALWAYS post an innuendo.
Simply amazing.
That's absolutely perfect Doug. Thank you for sharing!
*looks at Huntress action figure sitting on desk* Yup I'd say that matches up well, awesome job as always DJ! And this is just the first of some for the week? Sweet!

I've been working on some non-COH stuff recently with an eye towards DC and Marvel, but it's still comic-related and still 'fan art'ish, so I figured I'd go ahead and link to it here.

Yes please. Your work has consistently been entertaining and inspiring. I'll take as much as I can get, even the not-so-on-topic pieces.

There will probably be several other posts this week.

Awesome! What a great pose for her... it might be the best pose I've ever seen for that character, including in her books or on tv. I've particularly impressed by the attention to detail on the slightly-diffused reflection of the moonshine off of her cape.
Hmm...
Is it just me, or is the lighting, kind of, well, unnaturally bright for the setting?
I mean, it almost seems like she's being bathed in like 4 surrounding spotlights or something. It's great to see all that amazing detail in the subject, but it's almost like she's actually in the daytime and the night scene behind her is some movie set backdrop prop. Maybe she's in the theatre district or something where there are big signs full of lights around her but not quite in the line of sight of the viewpoint. It certainly doesn't seem like the moonshine is the primary light source.
Sorry, I don't mean to get overly critical. I think it's great regardless.
I think it's a great pose and piece overall. I'd like to see her shirt look more like spandex and less like paint on her globes, though.
The modelling on the equipment and clothes is great.

Hm... good point. There's an actual outfit on her (I don't use the 'paint the body' technique), but it might be too form-fitting on the chest. I can address that in a later version.
Nice work as always DJ; question for ya did you do a different technique than on previous work; the shadowing in this one seems different; I like it..or maybe its not the shadowing but something is different in this from previous ones...
Hmm
Excellent work as always, but, uh... her guns and hands are misaligned to the point of clipping through one another. Heck, on her right hand (our left), you can barely even see her index finger.
Might either wanna fix that, or be a little more careful in the future =)
-STEELE =)
Allied to all sides so that no matter what, I'll come out on top!
Oh, and Crimson demands you play this arc-> Twisted Knives (MA Arc #397769)

Gah, I see what you mean. I'll fix that on the next version. It's not a matter of not being careful, but more a matter of having stared at the same piece for hours on end - you end up missing the most obvious items. Thanks for pointing it out.

I agree, that it does look a bit painted on--but it is still a great render in spite of that.--Fix it, as you plan to, and it will sing.
Looking good.

Heh, what can one say? Some characters simply capture the moonlight better than others. The rest must be ummmmm, sodium-vapors!
