Quote:Will this work?We might have accomplished the feat at a later date, but it was the Soviets that gave us the inspiration/determination to race to the Moon. We have no such motivation now, which is why the Space Program is what it is at the moment. If we're going to put someone on Mars, or beyond, we need sufficient motivation to do so.

I hope so. Contrary to popular belief, Justin Beiber is not a god. -
Damn. Forgot to mention KHAAAAAAN and Barracuda.

1. Imperious-Epic, lots of enemies in a great setting.
2. Lady Grey-Epic battle against another central villain group
3.Ms. Liberty-Epic, challenging battle against practically every Archvillain in one of the main villain groups in the game.
4. Positron (Lumping both parts into one)-Love fighting Dopplegangers, Dr. Vahzilok's dialogue in the last mission's cutscene is epic and gives him great characterization.
5. Apex-Awesome maps, fending off War Walkers from the Police station in Kings Row, epic final battle.
6. Admiral Sutter-Cool maps and unique (Albeit sometimes aggrivating) mechanics for the final battle.
7. Tarikoss-Awesome map for the final mission
8. Twilight's Son-Because this was probably my favorite story in the comics.
9. Numina-Fighting nearly every villain group in almost every blueside zone just makes this TF feel epic.
10. Synapse-While I think it REALLY needs to be revamped and cut into two pieces, you still get to fight good 'ol Babbage and then the Clockwork King on one of my favorite maps in the game. -

And this isn't the forum to discuss this. Let me direct you to the Comic and Hero/Villain Culture forum where a thread has already been made.

The Count... how many Sesame Street characters were like him...
ONE!
Rest in peace, vampyric counter of objects. -
The Devs have stated that the base code is very clunky and trying to fix one thing COULD break EVERYTHING. I'm sure they WANT to bring base raids back, but the question is whether they can devote the resources to it.

Quote:Also, you may notice that some of the Praetorian Archvillains look different. The Praetoria storylines are nicely done. They have little patience for low end machines though. Praetoria is also mostly deserted, and you are locked there until 20. But, it's a neat little game there all the same.
In addition to the Circle of Thorns. -

...Good grief! Let's not even try to make ANY of the enemies interesting. Seriously, I just want this argument to end. I have a serious migraine right now and these arguments are NOT helping!

There is nothing wrong with having an opinion. It's just that the majority of people here seem to DISAGREE with it. This happens sometimes.

Quote:Some people have different opinions. (This is fine if you ask me.) Some people are easily angered. (Some people lose their tempers when they WIN at chess) Some people are also resistant to change. The CoT revamp was one of the most misguided things this game had ever thrown at me. I seriously, to this day, have no idea why they thought that was in any way good. Strip everything away that made them special, then put bland tights on them. They looked like a lvl 1 PC at game launch, created by someone who just wanted to play and didn't care about the look. It was terrible. After they redid them, they looked great again. I'm perfectly happy with the CoT we have in game now.
Which brings me to the Skulls. They look like Skulls. They look like better Skulls, actually. I have no idea why the OP thinks this is an issue, or how it can even compare to the horribleness of the initial CoT redesign.
I suppose it's like the people that still bring up extreme examples and try to connect them to current issues. "They are changing Corrupter's Rain of Fire? This is exactly like ED, and people will leave in droves!"*
*No one I know has said that, but the sentiment has been flung around on way too many occasions. -
Quote:I think it would be good to show a mix of vanilla and slavic accents, unless the idea is that the gang is made up of nothing but immigrants. I think that could be a bad idea, given some conversations I've participated in recently in another thread.
Actually, then in that case, a lot of RL gangs are racist. -
Quote:Very few of the enemies in this game have been given deep character development until recently. Think about it: before GR, the Praetorians were basically "What if the heroes were villains?" The Clockwork were basically generic animated scrapheaps who were animated by the Clockwork King to take over the city.Have the Skulls always been an ethnic gang? That shizzle is news to me.
Less cliche', more depth. In my opinion, a good thing. -
Quote:I disagree. I kinda like the club hair. It gives off a rebellious/messy/chaotic vibe and is in better resolution than the "Wild" hair.I was one of those that raised hell over the CoT revamp and demanded a re-redo (I still don't think they look as good as they originally did, but I can live with it), but I actually really like the new look for the Skulls. They don't stand out as much anymore with the new textures. I'm not a big fan of the Death Dolls' look, but eh. The only thing I despise is the Pocket D pack hair. I hate it. I hate it so very much, and not just the "Oh hey that guy's hair is ugly, I'll beat him up!" hate, but the "Dear God why did you even give this hairstyle a passing thought when deciding what costume pieces to put in the game" hate. I hate it so much that I hope all the people who came up with, drew, designed, and then actually put it in game go bald because anyone who thinks that is a good looking hairstyle does not deserve a full head of hair.
Anyways, that's my two cents. Good job on the revamp, but for the love of God get rid of the club hair. -

It is mentioned in their bios that the Ruin Mages of the Circle of Thorns were at one point powerful enough to level entire cities.

Quote:Heh. When put that way, a mini-Apocalypse event WOULD be kinda funny. (Maybe turn on the Halloween event for JUST THAT DAY?)I think having a mini-event of an apocalypse of some kind with a CoH slant on it (something a bit campy) would be amusing, but yeah, any religion mixed in with an MMO like this would be a bad idea.
Makes me think about how they released Issue 7 on 6/6/06. I don't know if that was an intentional joke or it was just ready then but that was PERFECT.

Yeah, WAY too religious in theme. It's just going to end up offending certain people. (Not just the people who have to do the "Tribulation" either.)
Also, I do believe that myth was debunked, that the Mayan calendar doesn't end on December 21?
Would this event conflict with the Winter Event that will most likely be running on this day?
Also...
Quote:Why? What does the Confederate flag have to do with the Rapture?* Confederate flag costume pieces -
I would say sheer force of will probably. So I guess Natural.

I need ideas for what Origin would be most appropriate for this concept: The ghost of a hero who was killed in the Rikti War who came back from the dead to fight on the behalf of Paragon City once more.
What Origin do you think would be most appropriate? I've ruled out Science and Technology already. I'm split between Magic and Natural.
