Possibly hasn't done Marias arc, if you don't have room to open her arc you just get random av missions from her afaik.
-
AFAIK any power whether inherent or not will be lost if you exemp below when you took it. If inherents didn't it would give them an unfair advantage.
Power pools always provide a lower bonus than a similar power in a primary or secondary, so QR should be better than Stamina.
I toyed with two builds for my MA/Regen, one with, one without stamina. For PvE I couldn't find a good enough reason not to take it, I was able to fit in all the powers I wanted and still had room so put it in the build. -
You don't have to have stamina but it helps. Played my Blaster for about 34 levels before I took it, yes it was better after but I didn't miss it when I didn't have it. I know some who never took it and did fine.
However I'm finding my MA/Regen eats quite a bit of end, especially fighting red bosses (unsurprisingly) it could live without stamina but I think it benefits enough to make it worthwhile. It turns you into a duracell bunny, you just go on and on and on..... -

Frozen aura is PBAoE sleep, not hold, which means that the enemies break free as soon as any changes to their HP occur (Being healed or damaged, that is).
[/ QUOTE ]
For them to break free they have to be held in the first place, which is a problem as accuracy for this power is pants, in fact it's beyond pants, it's pants with holes in them. -

Thanks for the advice on slots and powers.
When I get to level 38, I'm not sure what to take, I was going to take Frozen Aura as it sounded good, but you say to avoid it. Does it do what it says on the tin and hold all the enemies near you or not?
My other choices were going to be either Aim or Ice Patch.
They were the 2 other skills I had to miss along the way to having the pool powers I wanted.
I've seen Ice Patch in use a few times and it looked quite handy. When I took Build up, I couldn't decide whether to take Aim or Build up. Build up won the choice in the end.
After I5/6 I have done the respecs and managed to get rid of some powers that I deemed useless. Blizzard was one of them imo.
I only have a .pdf rulebook which shows the levels stop at 40. What sort of powers or extra slots can I expect after 40th?
[/ QUOTE ]
NEVER EVER TAKE FROZEN AURA!!! Not for a million quid, not if someone puts a gun to your head, not even for a joke. I thought it sounded like a great idea. It is so bad it's beyond a joke.
Both aim and ice patch are great powers. Ice patch is useful as mobs are pretty dense and will run straight for you so if you stand just a little behind it they will fall over it. I used it to get my tank-buster badge, watching a freak tank falling over himself trying to get you is hilarious (apart from the odd time he manages it).
If you've lived without it this long probably Aim is your best bet. My blaster is slotted 2 tohit buffs and 2 recharge for Aim and Build Up, though I'm looking at going 3/3 on a new build if I can get the spare slots. Shouldn't be hard as my build is pre ED.
Blizzard got a bit of loving a few issues back and I enjoyed it. However with the ED changes and the fact you can't get your endurance back anymore with insp or being buffed its a very dangerous tactic to use, like all the blaster nukes. Soloing I never fired it in my life so I'm not surprised you didn't like it, it really only is of use in teams.
At lvl 41 you get the option of a new set of power options. You can (but don't have to) select one of a number of epic power pools, all the blaster ones contain some form of armour plus a few other powers. Blasters will disagree all day long as to whats best, really depends on how you play and what you need. You get to select a new power at 41, 44, 47 and 49. -
I fought an /SR scrapper in the S4 final and it was a nightmare.

Prenups do work under Rhode Island law (odd place for the devs to put Paragon, but RI's a pretty weird state in the first place).
So for RP purposes, it's legal
Now all you need is someone to RP Ally McBeal while you sign it and someone to show up as the dancing baby.
[/ QUOTE ]
There won't be a pre-nup (or a dancing baby). Everything that is mine is hers.

We won't need one of them. Setting yourself up for a fall that way. Besides, a pre-nup is actually pointless under UK law, as all conracts are null once you get married.
MA

Ahh but Paragon City isn't in the uk, so uk law wouldn't apply. -

Have both types mid-teens atm. I have to say while both are fun I'm slightly more drawn towards my MA.
To be highly analytical about the whole thing the Katana sounds a little to swishy while the MA sounds more like you're breaking bones. -

How can i amuse my self how! In a team with a tank an a controller i just sit back pop a buff each 2 minutes and blast for pathetic damage. The las time when i had any fun was with a 3 blaster 1 scrapper invincible team.
[/ QUOTE ]
Go out and find yourself a blaster, any blaster type will do really, for real fun pick something like fire with lots and lots of AoE's. Make friends with said blaster and anytime you are on team with the blaster.
If you are good at being an empath the blaster will remain alive (mostly, this isn't guaranteed no matter how good you are) and will worship the ground you walk upon. You will never become bored as every moment of your playing time will revolve around fighting impossible odds and gravity to stop the blaster from falling over. If you find you aren't able to keep the blaster reasonably safe you might want to think about a change of career. Only the very dedicated can cope with a truely suicidal blaster.
Here endeth the lesson.
p.s. You should be warned that if you are successful at keeping your pet blaster alive you will never be free of him/her, you will be stalked by your blaster to the ends of the earth and the end of time, even moving to a different game won't save you.

Yep i had a blast, a great team too. Though killing Jurassik took long, what took longer was the pointless hunt so n so missions that came before that. We must'a traveled to 10 different zones, how fun.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah remember the hunt, we spread out each taking a zone to do a hunt. When you finished your hunt you moved to an unoccupied zone, it really speeded things up a lot. -

could maybe do saturday day time if that's best for peeps - don't think this TF is especially long is it?
[/ QUOTE ]
Did this yonks ago, it took us 2hrs 30mins, on a team with no tanks, scrappers or defenders. It has been done in 2hrs but that was before tanks and scrappers got hamstrung. -
iirc at defiant raids there is normally 6-7 AM stacking at once.

you don't really need 2 AoE holds [...]
I'm at 50 and thinking of hami raids etc. ...
[/ QUOTE ]
So wouldn't you want all 3 AoE holds then?
[/ QUOTE ]
With the amount of accelerate metabolism being stacked on the holding teams during a hammie raid most powers are recharged as soon as you fire them off so having more isn't neccessarily gaining you anything. Also doesn't single target holds have a higher Mag value than AoE's or did I dream that? -
If I'm on and you're short of peeps look me up. Blaster already has two respecs available but my 'troller has none so he'd be up for it, reasonably ED friendly build to
. I'd vote for No.2, first still gives me nightmares and rikti aren't my friends. Me and Shielder aren't to bad at the second, at the right time of the night
.
Shielder will know if I'm about when you do it. -
Not having played either since there first few days of launch can't comment on which is better. However recently a team-mate rolled a */archery defender, which was deleted soon after. The problem was that because the primary wasn't trick arrow every time they swapped from secondary to primary and back the bow kept having to be re-drawn which slowed everything down.
As you can't roll archery/trick arrow I'd assume an archery blaster suffers a similar problem. -

Cryonic (blaster) is on the list, ancillary is munitions
Murmur is new to the list: controller - illusion/kinetics/psionic -
MKIII
Due to the sheer number of attacks doing a 1-50 is presenting problems. More than likely 1-32 is how far I'll go and then respec, shuffling the attacks.
Still having problems placing some slots. Probably use a few earlier for 2 acc enhancements until focused accuracy.
Had forgotten about focus chi, I know how useful build up was so not taking it with a scrapper would be foolish.
Left out the lvl placements as I'm showing more what I'll have than when, can sort that as I go along.
