MA/Regen Question
Personally, I'm a huge fan of the fitness pool. Swift, Health and Stamina in particular (never all that fond of Hurdle as I invariably get CJ ).
For */regen, I would recommend the above three powers: swift is handy, health adds a little to regen rate combined with FH and Integration and a single slot in stamina with 3-slotted QR works wonders.
Others would suggest 3-slotting stamina but I've never found I needed it.

Well my question is, can i do without stamina ? i'm not keen on spending 3 power choices to get it ( not when i already have a power that gives +regen to end ). Besides if i slot QR with 4-5 endmods wouldn't that beat stamina with 1 endmod ? ( i know putting more than 3 of the same slots in a power isn't very effective but still gives a bonus ).
Sadly the 4th/5th slots in QR wouldn't come close to a single slot in stamina. The reduction in the bonus is very severe after the 3rd SO.
As for whether you can do without stamina: sure. QR is a lot better than stamina and you should slot your toggles with an endred anyway (imo). If you're really having trouble with end though, slot an endred into your attacks.
So, yes, you can definitely get by without stamina as /regen.

I always slot my toggles with an endred, even if i'd have stamina ( i just like having the blue bar all the way up ).
So far i'm getting along with QR really well ( with ss + integration running ), and i come close to have half end only in fights that last longer than 4-5 minutes.
Since the Regen tree has currently only one toggle I'd say you can do without stamina, just remember to slot some powers with end reducters.
I have played Dutch barb througout my carreer without stamina so it is certenly posible and you get three extra powers

You don't have to have stamina but it helps. Played my Blaster for about 34 levels before I took it, yes it was better after but I didn't miss it when I didn't have it. I know some who never took it and did fine.
However I'm finding my MA/Regen eats quite a bit of end, especially fighting red bosses (unsurprisingly) it could live without stamina but I think it benefits enough to make it worthwhile. It turns you into a duracell bunny, you just go on and on and on.....
My MA/Regen doesn't have the Fitness Pool and I have no End problems.
Of course, Dragon's Tail & Eagle's Claw have 2xAcc, 3xDmg and 1xEndRdx.
I guess if you take Stamina, you can put 1xRch instead of 1xEndRdx.
Just choose whatever fits your playing style, but you can live without Stamina.
Nice thing with regen is you don't need to take Stamina as soon as you can, so trying to fit the two precursors and two travel powers in before 20 isn't essential. My BS/Regen (BS being a known end heavy set) still hasn't taken Stamina at 26 it will be my next power at 28. But this does mean you can leave it out of the build until you have the ability to respec (24+) At which point if you are having issues without stamina you can spec it in.
On the question of vertical travel with SS I find fly to be good, especially with MA & DM as the precursor power can be the tremendously useful Arial Superiority, (Claws, BS & Kat do less well as you need to draw the weapon after use.) Then you can use flight as a utility power, slot for end red x3, or as a travel power in its own right, slot for flight speed. Though you do have to cope with supression, I find except in the most hard fough of battles I can leave it on. I tend to run it with just the end rdx I have SS for high speed travel, fly gives me vertical chasing power, which is good to have in PvP. Three times endrdx is what I use with no stamina so with stamin that could be dropped to 2x perhaps.
Ahhh, i just remembered : forgot to mention i want my scrapper for pvp in SC ( for the time being at least ).
Also from the hero planner seems QR gives a bigger bonus to +regen than stamina ( so i'm thinking it should be ok as the only regen - after all there are a lot of scrappers that don't have regen as secondary and took stamina...and they fare pretty well ). Correct me if i'm wrong :P
Also, being an inherent power, will it be deactivated if i'm exempted ?
AFAIK any power whether inherent or not will be lost if you exemp below when you took it. If inherents didn't it would give them an unfair advantage.
Power pools always provide a lower bonus than a similar power in a primary or secondary, so QR should be better than Stamina.
I toyed with two builds for my MA/Regen, one with, one without stamina. For PvE I couldn't find a good enough reason not to take it, I was able to fit in all the powers I wanted and still had room so put it in the build.
Pah punny regeners quibling over stamina. Try a MA/SR scrapper with all the toggles,CJ and Focused Accuracy without the fitness pool.

I have stamina on every alt exept my regen, i have never felt i needed it, i button bash my attacks and never let off and it is never a prob, however if i run Focused accu it bedomes a prob, having said that QR will have your end at the top again within a few seconds after a mob.
Would i need the fitness pool on it ? ( i'm interested in endurance mostly ).
I'm planning on running SS, SJ, Integration and *maybe* stealth as my toggles. But if i need stamina i might have to give up some powers.
Also a build where SS is present and also a vertical power ( even just hover :P ) would be most welcome.
