Quote:nice idea, I'd "arrest" for a fireman outfit!I'll add another wrinkle to the concept: Implement Halloween door spawn code so that you have to click either a door or one of the patrol route telephones to start it. Intriguingly, this sounds like a concept that would work as a zone event that would be okay in lowbie zones as long as you downgrade the EBs if there's an actual lowbie as the team leader.
Personally, I like the Steel Canyon fires. My only problems are people (not enough come help) and the lack of unlockable fire fighter costume pieces.
"It's crime fightin' time." indeed. -
i agree also
zombies and aliens, sure they work, but even an arachnos/longbow invasion for a change would be nice. -
Day-job contacts and arcs seemed like a really obvious thing when the concept of it was first announced. Would be nice to see it implemented. I like how they changed the marketeer teleport into a charge-based thing and would like to see the same with the mission completion ones and the like.
at present i try to cycle my alts through the day jobs that amass the largest amount of non-timed bonuses. i've one character that i logged in to move a few days ago that had 5 or 6 day-job icons showing.
crafting cost bonus is a charge thing isn't it? like the tailor tokens for Fashion Designer, it stacks up and you only use them up when you choose to. -
or maybe the next time there's a bunch of zombies or rikti attacking us, maybe ms. liberty could lend a hand? they expect us to go to her for training? b"£$^ never does anything!

Quote:depends on your definition of a price...you can increase the difficulty without any inf changing hands, but you may then run into a mission that has been too easy in the past and get smooshed by a small convention-sized mob of +6lvl enemies. surely defeat is a price?"...for a price." is untrue now. Difficulty changes are now free.
Edit: Beaten by Golden Girl.
i admit i'm using "a certain point of view" here, but it's not technically wrong. there are a few that are. and some that are just morally so. "you can level from 1-50 in the mission architect" being the most glaring offender.
but how about Going Rogue, eh? that looks like fun! -
SingStar, I said something with similar sentiment back before we let them join our new forums.

super-tailor was great, as I'd made a toon as an armoured type in the Huge scale, then realised I wanted at least one of the costume choices to be unarmoured...but huge body type didn't quite work for me, even with all sliders to minimum. it saved me a re-roll there. Also, I've since begun one toon who's starting as a barely-teen boy, and will eventually become if not an old man, certainly a mature adult.
edit: I agree that Ninja Run can save you a single power slot. Maybe even more if you don't find the other powers in the travel pool you'd have otherwise chosen useful. however, there's always a couple of powers I don't use that much, usually one or two I could live without (not finished my VEAT Spider yet, though...having to make some tough decisions there) so I don't think it's all that bad if you don't have it. Theoretically, with temp powers you don't need a travel power in the first place. -
it is actually. you could buy an EU account as well. and all the booster packs. and...just send them envelopes full of money! Recorded Delivery, of course!
-
give us Pony as a travel power...they will come.

y'know they missed the perfect opportunity here. it's an alternate reality, so Cole could have been someone else. maybe a football (american, not proper) player...maybe he was like a Train or something...
"Woooooh! Yeah, baby! Yeeehhaaaa! Wooo! " -
I don't see why there would need to be a physical page created for each person. Surely everyone has access to a word-processing program and email?
edit: the final product, once compiled and edited could be sold through print on demand services if need be. certainly should be a low/no cost production. -
Nearly all of my characters start as a concept. I might play one more than another because of their powers or what have you, but they all begin as generally an idea of the person, why they're a hero or villain and usually I've some idea of the type of costume they'll wear (one or two have started simply as costumes I'd wanted to run around the city in, and I've developed them from there) but I often get lazy and don't end up writing the bio. All my main characters have one though.

cat smoothies? now that's something I don't think we've seen on Will It Blend? yet.

Quote:I'm fairly certain you were born a turtle, raised in a pet store, then bought by a kid in the late 80s. after a couple of years you and your 3 brothers were flushed down the loo, whereby you encountered a mysterious ooze. This mutated you into a kind of anthropomorphic being, and were then taught ninjitsu by an old man, who'd encountered the same ooze and become mutated into a rat-like form. He instilled in you the urge to do what is right, an affinity for a particular colour (out of red, purple, blue and orange) and an overwhelming desire for pizza.I love how you can assume my entire life history. For all you know, I could have been raised in my early days in lawless Ethiopia. But you don't know, you can only assume, which you do.
And as soon as people start talking about my life or theirs directly, my history or theirs directly, that's when I step out. Because then no more rational discussion can be had.
I might be wrong though. -
I've tried GTA4. I really have. Compared to San Andreas and especially Vice City, it's just shiny pants. I don't have a problem with them per se, but if there's nothing in them that I want to get deeply involved in, I get really bored after the first couple of minutes.
And Spade, I saw you on Union earlier, at Black Market, I read your fortune! Don't pretend you're not playing. -
if we're getting into Christmas songs, I'd hope for a "fat belly" costume piece (either as it's own thing, or on chest details, I'm not fussy) so I can play "Santa Claus Is A Fat &!^(#" while I roam around the Rogue Isles laying down some lumps of coal to those naughty kids.
edit: how badass must his Super-speed be that he can travel all around the globe in one night? -
I'd love back options. For starters, my main would have somewhere explicable to pull all those arrows from. Add in all those other ATs that use weapons and heck, a fair few that don't and we'd be cool. I actually think 95% of my characters would use at least one back option that wasn't capes or wings on at least one of their costume slots. Many, even more so.
edit: wings attached to our arms would be nice too, or at the very least, a cape that looks kinda like wings (the current feathers one isn't quite as flow-y as I'd like...I'm thinking Swan, Falcon (from Marvel) and various interpretations of Batman over the years where his cape pretty much clings to his gloves. Hell, Storm has something similar as well. I can think of at least one generic'ed player who'd love that. -
all the boster packs have had a power. Not a travel power. Ninja run seems like it'll be quite fun, and yeah, I wouldn't dislike more choice in travel powers, but a booster pack does not have to have a travel power.
Self-Destruction doesn't help you get anywhere but hospital. Tarot cards? Well, if the person's unlucky enough to get the fool then yeah, they might end up at the other end of a map before they realise it, but not strictly a travel power. What was there in the science one? and Mission Teleporter, well, it is kinda travel-y, but not all that useful with it's recharge time and having to have a mish in the place you want to go. -

check your firewall, my one told me the program had changed, asked if i still allowing it. even thouhg there was no patch...i thought i saved the details after the last one...

I was part of a Union Hami raid a few months back. I don't like to talk about it. When you're waiting what seems like an hour to organise the teams, let alone planning any actual tactics it doesn't bode well.
Think there's been a few attempts before then, I haven't seen any since, but don't think there has been a succesfull one yet. -
Quote:did they go on strike? You really have turned into a grumpy sod, Spade.
Also, an all EU merge would really hack off the french and german speakers. I remember the time one of them, think it was french, went down while all the others were up after an Issue. They were not amused.
And yes, a server merge would annoy lots of people, especially if people lost names, etc.
