Quote:From what I gathered they're pbaoe toggles. Melee is stacking regen/def like Rise to the Challenge. Control somehow mimics containment and scourge. Assault is damage buff, not a whole lot of other info. They did say support is a toggle that will affect all your leaguemates though. They just commented on the hybrid slot,
Support tree is going to be like all the leadership pools rolled into one.
They mentioned the other trees also but I wasn't really paying attention when they said those.
Kinda on the fence about a toggle that affects all leaguemates though. I can't imagine the boost would be overly strong since things would become broken very easily. I'd prefer a stronger buff that only affects team or self/pets. We'll see though.
Also, unless I interpreted things wrong, Zwill's in stream chat mentioned Beta opening later this week. Anyone else catch that or am I crazy? -
I hope Hybrid is more interesting than just a straight buff like Alpha. I won't hate it, but I would be disappointed at lack of creativity.
Yes, I understand we have very little info at the moment. -
Sounds a tad light on content for a full issue. Hope it's not too terribly long of a wait.

Quote:It's great for when you're knee deep in defense reduction and you need a quick breather.Sure I'm not saying this DEF buff is useless. I'm just pointing out that I wouldn't base my entire build around counting on Vorpal's +DEF to be there as part of my basic static DEF total in any situation.
It's great as an Alpha Strike absorber but it's not going to last long enough against your Hamidon example unless you can kill Hamidon in less that 10 seconds. If you can do that then this buff is probably trivial to you regardless. -
I have a flying/hover StJ stalker at level 41. No problems at all. I like the fact that Shin Breaker animation makes it look like you're stomping on enemies' heads.

Sorry if this question is inappropriate for this thread/sub-forum but I've been considering a kin/sonic for a good while. I'm looking for opinions on if this would work better on a def or a corr. I've played Kin on both sides so I understand the main differences but honestly haven't played sonic blasts much.
I recall def kin being awesome support but corr kin being so much more destructive. I've never played kin in the iTrial scene so I don't even know how they fare there. Honestly, I really don't even see all that many kind anymore either. I guess what Im really looking for is to be convinced one way or another since I'm so undecisive. -
Quote:Couldn't agree with you more. Seeing this turn in to a 'I'm the ultimate winner, gimme gimme!' whine party further enforces my concerns about how crummy this forum community has become. This used to be a pleasant place were people helped eachother and shared information for the collective good. Now, all I see is bitter bickering derailing threads pretty frequently. To the OP,
I hope you find a build you like, that is the purpose of this contest anyways.
To the contestants,
Some of you really need to get of your high horse and get back to reality.
Seriously, guys, what the hell? -

Diamagnetic -regen is pretty laughable, you'll get better results from Degenerative. You'll have better -regen, toxic DoT, and overall have to do less damage from -MaxHp (4000 hp on pylon).
One pretty big bummer about -MaxHP is AVs on trials. If you use an analyzer (You can use temps against Diabolique) you'll see that they have a very low base MaxHP but have a HUGE MaxHP buff called Scaling. I'm assuming this buff is based off how many people overall in the league. What this means is that Degen affects base HP so the effect is very minimal since the bulk of HP comes from Scaling. Still, everyone runs reactive so you're still getting the toxic dot effect from Degen that no one uses. -
Quote:Second week of may sounds way too soon. Also, releasing very close to Diablo 3 launch would make me super sad.Would a half issue possibly show up on Test instead of Beta?
I don't mind either way - half issue or next whole issue - I just can't recall how the past ones have worked, regarding the beta and test servers.
Also... I'll take second week of May and a side order of onion rings, please. -
Hope you're right. Time between full issues since I19 has been around 5-6 months. I know it's not an exact science but I just like to plan for the worst.

Ahhh, that makes sense. So if we're not getting a half update, I guess we should not be expecting any new content until around August or so. I was really hoping to get a new incarnate slot/trial sooner on a half update. Ohhhh well.

Sounds cool. I live hovering as a melee character so i dont think its weird at all. It just gives you more freedom to maneuver.
I'm really interested in a bane secondary build for my crab so I may have to check this out later. -
I'm 'assuming' 22.5 will bring a new trial or two. There was talk about info being released on them at the player summit. Supposedly new incarnate slots are coming out with one of these trials also? I don't remember what exactly was mentioned, but I'm guessing we won't see beta activity until after the Pummit.

Quote:I was wondering what the point of this app is considering I could just set a bookmark for the status page on my home screen. The notification feature definitely makes it worth it for me.
Okay, might as well spill it, since it looks like it'll be delayed a little bit (woo Google doing upgrades). The feature would be to allow you to select servers to subscribe to, so that the next time they came back up, a notification would be pushed to your phone (nearly) instantly notifying you! Ideal for morning and emergency maintenance!

Quote:Mind Link on the Arachnos Support is pretty garbage. It gives no def and no psi res. All you get is the 5 Tohit buff, some perception, and some confuse protection. Very disappointing. http://tomax.cohtitan.com/data/power...achnos_SupportI was going to post a similar question myself actually.
On my Crab I don't think I could stand looking at anything other than Arachnos pets, but they seem very middle or the roadI am hoping they have AoE to compensate because they are melee too.
Does anyone know if their Mind Link is at least perma?
If you're going Arachnos just go the Core route. Tarantula boss is decent enough. I chose robotic drones because they have minimal character models, 120 foot range, and hit for pretty good damage.
Lore choices pretty much come down to theme but I have never been able justify the support route on anything other than Elementals. -
Kin Combat are an excellent candidate for boosters. +5 the 4 set and your damage will be in ED cap range. Also, If you +5 TT:Maneuvers you can ditch the generic 50 IO and throw that slot in to Health for the numina proc. Wouldn't hurt to +5 Call Reinforcements either as their damage is a bit low on that build.

It's looks like that build focused on packing in as much recharge as possible. Beyond double maneuvers and the 2 +def uniques I dont see any other defense. Considering diminishing returns on recharge once you get in the 180 range, I'm not sure how viable it would be to continue adding recharge instead of defense.
Just my opinion and I'm sure he's adapted to learn to play his build well. To each their own.
Edit: Not to say its not a good build. The crab build I used for a very long time had defenses similar to this and it was still a badass crab. I received some grief over not being softcapped but still did well. Also, I do see CJ and CT: Defensive so you're sitting in low 30s on def. Perma-serum and Fortification will mitigate everything else. -
Life without the -kb is annoyiiiiing as a crab. I ended up ditching it temporarily when I picked up my glad armor and hated it. Even as a hover crab it was bad, I can't even imagine how bad it would be as a non-hoverer.
I got your PM on destinies and will get back to you as soon as I put the kiddo down for a nap. I'll just say that the destinies are not an integral part to my build. They're just an extra perk for my crab. Heck, when I did the all-pylon run the other night I used Incadescence just for the pet teleport. -
Drop leadership? On a perma-pet build? This is madness!
Keep in mind the spiderlings and reinforcements spawn at -2 and -1 respectively. Without the tohit bonus from leadership (Kismet bonus does not affect them) you might as well just put blindfolds on them.
