I plan on doing this with my BS/SD. I currently have Scirocco's in my PBAOEs and it's wonderful.

I have two procs in my parry and that is always quite awesome.

I don't see where you could go wrong with procs, considering you're gonna be using those powers quite a bit.

I have an AR corruptor and this is not the case with Ignite. I think it's because Ignite is considered a summon and each tick has it's own check?

Considering that I'm not sure about my other DoTs but I think have seen scourges on ticks if the first one did not scourge. Then again I could just be saying that because I HAVE seen Ignite do that.

You are counted, but on a separate value. Any enhancements you put in the skill do not boost the buff you give yourself, but rather boost the buff you get from teammates.

I slotted the End+ proc from Performance Shifter in to Stamina and I randomly see the message in the logs saying that it procs.

I tossed Kismet Accuracy proc in to Maneuvers and if I toggle on Maneuvers and stand there, I never see it proc on the logs.

I read that if a proc is put on a toggle, it gets a chanceto proc roll every 10 seconds or so but I just never see it happen with Kismet.

Has anyone else noticed this?

So I was gonna go with the popular choice of tough and weave but I'm not sure if I wan't to do that. I always preferred maneuvers and tactics because they're more team friendly. Also if I do that, there isn't a wasted ability like there would be if I took tough and weave (kick).

In terms of the medicine pool, would you take aid other or stimulant?

I usually try to emphasize accuracy and to-hit on all of my previous characters because I hate missing, who doesnt? So when I started up my BS/SD scrapper, I realized that focused accuracy is one of the epic powers and I definitely planned on taking it.

As I am now at level 42 I am having second thoughts on it mainly because I'm discovering how endurance hungry my build is and Focused Accuracy has a pretty hefty endurance drain, .78/s, that I don't think it'll be feasible without of course sacrifing some dmg/recharge on my powers for another endurance reduction. So I'm now debating on skipping it and getting rid of another power (maybe build up) and picking up the medicine pool for aid-self.

I'm going for a PvE build and would like to solo if I have to. I noticed that when I solo I'm eating through a lot of blues and have to carry some greens to stay alive.

I'm unsure of what to do here and I have a few respecs to play around with so your thoughts would be well appreciated.

The majority of other games I've played usually minimize the game when I alt-tab. In fact, CoH was the first I've come across that did that. There are others, such as Quake 4, that did the same thing.

Not really a problem, in fact I prefer it.

I can alt-tab, but the game is always visible in the background.

This has been the case for me on my last two PCs.

If you're on Vista you can run Steam as admin. Right click on the Steam icon and then select' Run as Admin'

Or

Disable Vista UAC.

I had this problem too. Both solutions solved the problem.

You can still get Vanguard merits without having done Levantera's arc, but the drop rate is extremely low.

Yeah, that's probably why I only got 10 merits for the entire raid.

I did the first mission after joining the vanguard where you rescue Faultline and Fissionette and I got 5 merits just from that one alone.

Yeah, that's definitely the problem. I don't have that member of Vanguard badge, so that must be why.

After the raid, which (once again) I was there the whole time fighting on a big team, I talked to Borea and she sent me on a mission to take out a Rikti Leader so I did that and didn't get much from it.

I'll speak to Levantra and get that whole membership thing started.

Actually, I did NOT do any missions prior to the raid. I just hit 36 and decided to go to RWZ today to work on the unlock when I saw the global message that a raid was going on. I figured this would've been the best way to get started.

I joined the team of 6 members as they were beginning to destroy the pylons so I was there a good long while at the side of my mentor hacking away at anything I could.

But yeah, I'm guess it's the whole not doing the intro mission. Does it matter which contact I speak to first?

I was just part of a Rikti Ship raid in RWZ and I only ended up getting about 10 vanguard merits. I was told this was the best way to get them but I'm confused because others on my team received 100+. I was SKd to them and fighting the whole time so I wasn't just standing around mooching.

That aside, I'm looking for the best way to get merits now. Do I just get them from doing the missions or do they drop randomly off Rikti from street sweeping? Also, is 100 a lot because I want a good idea of how long I'll be spending in the RWZ because I don't plan on leaving till I unlock the broadsword.

I disabled Vista UAC and it works flawlessly now. Kind of a lame workaround, but eh.

I've actually had this problem a few times since I started playing again this week.

I'm just glad it wasn't in the middle of something important the times it did happen to me.

Returning player here. I remember in the past there was some sort of modification you needed to make for the game to optimize multiple cores.

Is this still required and if so could someone remind me how this is done?

I understand everyone will defend NCSoft and so on because everyone is trying to check the game out and the servers are oveloaded, etc etc. Honestly though, how well does that reflect on the game especially for someone like me who hasn't played in years?

I receive an invite back to play for free so I tell all my friends about it and we're all stoked and then run in to this. I was fortunate enough to download before this mess started, but my friends are almost about to call it quits and they haven't even started playing yet.

Even worse is that there has been no official response or acknowledgment from any officials.

Not the best business move.
