My Friends Cant Patch their game.

I recently recruited around five people to come back to the game, yesterday infact. I told them of the event where they'd get to see the improvements without having to pay for the month, hoping at lest a couple would stay. But now it turns out they're taking over a day to patch an old copy of the game, going at outrageously slow speed. This is making me, and this company, look very bad. Now May 3rd is a day closer, and two of my friends are *still* patching the game, going on over 25 hours. This is entirely unacceptable, and what should have been a great experience turned out to collapse under the probably entirely unanticipated volumes of interest. I do not blame the developers, the load seems to be truly unexpected. However, this may 3rd cutoff is now starting to seem unreasonable. Is there any way i can get it extended for the people who have been trying hard to come play, but cant because the patch server wont go over 25 kb/s for them? it doesnt seem fair.

I'm in the same boat as you.

I understand everyone will defend NCSoft and so on because everyone is trying to check the game out and the servers are oveloaded, etc etc. Honestly though, how well does that reflect on the game especially for someone like me who hasn't played in years?

I receive an invite back to play for free so I tell all my friends about it and we're all stoked and then run in to this. I was fortunate enough to download before this mess started, but my friends are almost about to call it quits and they haven't even started playing yet.

Even worse is that there has been no official response or acknowledgment from any officials.

Not the best business move.
