play on the same resolution as your desktop. It helps reduce stress on older systems while trying to alt-tab out to different rez.
I can alt-tab, but the game is always visible in the background.
This has been the case for me on my last two PCs.

[/ QUOTE ] Well of course. If you are using any fullscreen application, you are going to see it in the background at all times, unless you click "show desktop". But then you will see all open windows pop up again once you run an application or choose a window. That's just the nature of the beast.
The majority of other games I've played usually minimize the game when I alt-tab. In fact, CoH was the first I've come across that did that. There are others, such as Quake 4, that did the same thing.
Not really a problem, in fact I prefer it.

That might be an issue with the graphics being OpenGL and not DirectX (since Quake 4 is also OpenGL).

You may want to try to have something open in the background. I usually have my internet browser open and up so when I alt-tab, it switches to that program very well.
When I tried it without the browser open, I had trouble getting the alt-tab to work.
My game works great, everythings completely fine, except one minor problem: I can no longer alt-tab out of the game! My solution for now is to play in windowed mode, but I really do like the option of playing fullscreen and alt-tabbing. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
