  1. Project Freerunner is top secret, technically Posi is arguing that he wants the technical diagrams back.

From what Madam Victim has decyphered it appears to be capable of accessing systems remotely, but without the chip nothing can be confirmed. He has confirmed however that if it falls into the wrong hands then the city is pretty much doomed.

As to the leak, I'm looking into that. The only person outside myself, Madam Victim and LOCA who's aware of the investigation is Positron. As I'd trust Mel and LOCA with my life, that leaves Positron. And that's as likely as Mel signing a new contract with Crey Industries. We are looking into the possibility that my office is bugged, but that's a complex process due to Mel's disability.
  2. How does Midnight-Strike's bank account records hit you. Both myself and Longbow know her identity but have no real evidence of wrongdoing.

The last three payments were put in within 12 hours of each other, (except your downpayment for her services, that will be reimbursed soon however) were from...

Catherine Harbridge, a known Arachnos agent.
A shell company for Crey Industries.
And a small warehouse company specialising in parts for mechanical brass clocks. Real subtle on Nemesis's part there.

So who are we checking out first?
  3. It would be an exceptionally good solution, the one problem being how the reward tables are set up.

It is likely that they are set up with set values for Underling, Minion, Lieutenant, Boss, Elite Boss, Archvillain/Hero. One of these values would be Inf rewarded, this means that they would need two copies of this table, and two copies of each villain group to reference this table.

All well and good, until you take into account Co-Op zones, which group do you use? Use the Villains version and it becomes hero farm heaven, use the hero versions and villains wouldn't set foot in Co-Op zones because of the lack of rewards.

Then we get the scenario where they mix up the groups when creating a new mission and suddenly heroes are getting the Villains rewards table and the farmers all converge on the mission.

There's too much that could go wrong with it for it to be feasible.
  4. Good plan, there's a new jewel in the Atlas Park Jewelry store that's likely to catch some villains eye, the Eye of Hera I think.

Hire her to grab it then ambush her at the scene, her phone number is 179067.

This is only the digital version, we did not get a boxed version in Europe. We still have an office based in England, they'll be looking after the distribution for Going Rogue.

Craggy: only the price in Euro is displayed on the NCsoft store for the time being but it is £9.99.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Looking to buy it now but it definitely says £14.99

    [/ QUOTE ]

It's a similar bug to what happens in the in game store occasionally when you purchase rename tokens, slots and server transfers. The price is displayed in Euros although the symbol is GBP (£).

It was £9.99 when I used it to re-activate my account the other week, that's all I can say to that. I can say that it is most definatly £9.99 on the Steam store as well.
  6. Madam Victim has an update for you,

So LOCA decrypted those files, we got some stills of the thief which you can see, here, here and here.

We've also confirmed that the Clockworks made it onto the scene after the theft, presumably through the same hole that the thief came through in the first place.

As for the technical diagrams, I haven't completely deciphered them yet, but if my preliminary findings are correct, we need to get the chip back as soon as we can.

Now for my update, from the security cameras I assume the thief is one Midnight-Strike. The problem is that we need to locate who she took the chip to rather than Midnight-Strike herself. And I know from experience that finding Midnight-Strike is near impossible.

    COX Lore

Yawn, for the relationship between Lord Recluse and Statesman here goes, spoilered for anyone who doesn't want to know.

Statesman (Marcus Cole) and Lord Recluse (Stephan Richter) were childhood friends, this mainly came from the fact that Stephan's father, Rudy Richter, cared for Marcus and his brother Ezra following the deaths of their parents. Stephan also had a sister named Monica.

Ezra grew up and became the only honest cop in the PCPD, when the call to the first world war came, Ezra stayed behind to protect his country and Marcus and Stephan went off to war where they found themselves in the same unit, Marcus was promoted to captain and the pair fought valiently until Marcus got caught in a gas attack.

Following the war, Marcus, Stephan and the rest of their unit, used the skills they had aquired in the war to attempt to find the Well of the Furies to heal Marcus. They succeeded and Marcus and Stephan both drank from the well and opened Pandora's box. Stephan left the group that night, killing another member of the group in his escape.

Marcus went back to Paragon City a few years later following Ezra's death, and began to clean up the city as Statesman whilst Marcus Cole acted as a respectful businessman, bringing the fortune he'd made abroad into the city. Marcus found other heroes created from the box's powers. These were Dark Watcher, Elementar, Vambrace and Maiden Justice (who was also Monica Richter.) They successfully defeated Nemesis at Brass Monday, but in the aftermath Stephan kidnapped Monica and used her as bait for Marcus. With Dark Watcher's help Marcus saved Monica and Stephan swore to kill Marcus at any cost.

That's pretty much it in a nutshell really.
  8. Hey, just had a call from Positron for help. He'll meet you at arc id 174000.

Not really, if you remember about 2 months ago it was said the architect wasnt being released over in the EU because it wasnt deemed cost effective so it would be an automatic response to want to know whether this one (in their eyes) is worthy of being advertised/sold over here.

    [/ QUOTE ]

IIRC, GR (GhostRaptor) dropped hints that they weren't releasing an Architect edidtion box over here because they were planning to release another box in the near future anyway.

My Global probably IS taken on the other side of the pond. Even if the USA Gunbunny did not post any arcs. So maybe she is getting all the this is a rubbish arc post instead

However I never did get any confirmation that my feedback was send successfully to one of the American Arcs. I would love to test this, anyone got an USA account?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I have, and my global is the same so you can test it with my arcs.
  12. This is a wierd bug which turns up from time to time, do you have mobs from a restricted group (i.e. Hellions lvls 1-14) and mobs from an unrestricted group (I.e. Arachnos lvls 1-54) in the same mission?

It occasionally flags the level ranges wrong if this happens, usually with ally's or escorts.
  13. Question, is it the actual Boss itself, with the right texts and everything, or is it just a Boss class enemy?

If the spawn system needs a Boss and there is no other Bosses availible it will use the only Boss in the group. There are two ways around this, either place your Boss in another enemy group, or up the rank of your boss to EB level.

Now that things are on track for the Mission Architect to be purged, ...

[/ QUOTE ]Oh jeese; don't like the sound of that.

    [/ QUOTE ]

She means the farming and PL missions which place the Risk/Reward ratio out of whack will be removed from the MA.

Getting rid of about 70% of the arcs currently in the MA making it easier to find actual story arcs in there rather than just PL and farming junk.
  15. ((Don't worry, I let my account run out but reactivated it to talk about Posi's address concerning MA abuse so I'm back for at least the next month.

I am planning my next Investigation, I may not be able to run it before my account runs out again which may be in a month, maybe not, I'll see how I feel when I come to renew it.

    As for now...))

Glad you're back, Neko's been talking a lot, the Maestro made a mistake and got one of the Nekomimi to use the statuette rather than using it himself, meaning that Neko's new loyalties lay with the Nekomimi, and not the Maestro.

From there it was pretty simple to piece it together, Neko's a follower, not a leader, and chose Amanda to lead the Nekomimi. The Maestro went for it on the basis it would annoy myself, and knowing that in the event he managed to turn her, I couldn't bring myself to hurt her.

I assume you can piece it together from there.

The Maestro has spoken a lot between treatments, his way of coping with failure is to confess everything. This was a petty attempt to resurect his old catgirl project when he heard about the catgirl temple under Atlas Park. From there he put two and two together and ended up with four.

And a bit, his research enabled him to translate the Nekoian text, although he apparently made the same mistake as Marioko in the translation. Apparently cats and catgirls can instinctively read Nekoian, but the Nekomimi never saw the inside of the book, and Neko never told him so she could get rid of him when he was no longer necessary.

Which you interrupted before any major harm was done, well done there.

we were told that the issue that many of them had been waiting for to take the story along would be I15, this promise has hardly been lived up too

    [/ QUOTE ]

Maybe pushing the Issue content back an Issue because of the MA might have something to do with that?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Before they moved MA back they said I14 was the big story issue, no dice GG, you knew that before you even typed it.

    [ QUOTE ]
I suspect that a lot of other "veterans" have reached this point a few times over the years and have left, come back, left again and come back again several times over, and with no dramatic "look! I'm a veteran and I'm leaving!" posts.

Everyone gets bored sooner or later, especially "veterans" who have played for years. Take a break and come back if you feel like it or don't if you don't. Why does it have to be such a big issue?

    [/ QUOTE ]

As I explained, it's not so much that people are leaving, it's more who is leaving. Most the people leaving have only left before due to outside circumstances like lack of money or family commitments.

And then we had people hurling abuse because of the fact these people said they were leaving. But I'm going to leave that at that and say no more.
  17. Sry to interrupt Devans, but you may have come in a little late to this discussion to understand what's going on.

A lot of the people leaving are veteran players, players who have supported the dev team through the hardest phases of this games life for the last 5 years, including a period where the entire dev team consisted of 15 people.

Last year we were promised that the game would be moving quickly forwards to catch up with the competition, we were told that the issue that many of them had been waiting for to take the story along would be I15, this promise has hardly been lived up too, and on the test server during the devs Q and A session yesterday not a lot was said to make these people feel like sticking around.

This has led to the situation we have today, a lot of us leaving are probably leaving from burnout more than despair, we've been around the block, done everything we'd want to ingame, and what's been presented in the new issue isn't enough to keep our interest and we're fed up of hearing SOON whenever we ask what's coming.

Some of us will play CO, a few have played the Beta, but most of have said that we may return in the future, and most of us probably will return. But for now, there's nothing left in Paragon City and the Rogue Isles for us.
  18. Farewell GhostRaptor, hope you enjoy whatever it is you end up doing.
  19. I wouldn't feel too bad, I'm cancelling my sub when I get chance.

Don't get me wrong, I still think big things are coming, I just want a more definite answer than SOON.

Seeya all in CO or DCUO, or where ever we end up.
  20. Look at you lot, you've forgotten to give her the Mod welcome pack.

    Lets see, contents are...

1x Thread Nuke launcher with infinite ammo

    Enjoy
