  1. Yeah I can respect your opinion on TS...the animation often makes me want to drop it...pvp or not! Lol
  2. For Assassins Focus gains I'd recommend Havoc Punch...in my experience with all the types of stalkers I play the slower recharging latter fighting skills provide better opportunity to gain that focus! Sure DPA wise due to its quickness Charged Brawl is a option...but with the right IOs and Sets behind you...Havoc Punch is a decimator on a stalker...especially if you just happen to be in hide!

You could easily run a chain of BU>AS>LR(mind you I have ato set in AS to put me back in hide!)>TS>CI>HP>then AS again...modify the chain how you want...that's one of many ways I run into a mob of enemies!
  3. E's a straight up beast on a stalker! Always has been for me...even before the revamp! If you play on Virtue on the Redside you probably seen me around on Streets Avenger (a StJ/EA/Body with uber defense stats!)

    I'll post the build later...maybe :P

That whole "hit an enemy for 1000 damage every 13 seconds" thing tends to draw respect, and the pulsing mag 5 terrorize is a plus.

The other day I ran a +4 LRSF, and since I figured it would come down to be an 8 on 8 epic showdown with good and evil and for some reason everyone brings their corrupter to these things, I decided to host it with my KM/Elec Armr stalker. First person to join up was another stalker; a StJ/???. The whole time I was forming it and during the whole run through, not one person mentioned something about stalkers. When I was forming it earlier (failed run, since half the team d/ced and didn't log back in), no one mentioned anything about stalkers then, either. We just ran through it, stalker-ing it up all over the place, and it was a great run.
That StJ stalker your talking about that was on the +4 LRSF was me! My Street Justice/ Energy Aura build is boss! (If you was playing on Virtue that is!)

The name is Streets Avenger remember that!

I ran into the same issue...had 720 points and had to buy 400 more to get StJ! From here on out going to save my points each month for Set purchases though!

    Freedom is Dead!

I mean really I can understand Freedom going down...it happens but when both the servers I play on Freedom and Virtue go down...it's a tragedy! What's up with this man????

I work my build to focus on having alot of end recovery vs end usage. Also with defenses being high even past soft-cap! Better safe than sorry!

Damage I don't really care about as that will fall into play easily having two assaults and with i19 added Musculature Radial Paragon, for the extra damage and end recovery.

Tweak whatever you want I don't care...this is what build works for me and it is very solid!

Not cheap either but like you said you dont have a problem with that!

Also as a side note...I put that set on BRAWL because I find myself using that more than BOXING! If you plan to PvP then put it on BOXING! Just a small tidbit there!
  8. blackjuggernaut

    Nin/energy

I didn't take Placate because I find i'm out of hide mode more often than not because i'm more of a engaging type of fighter. You want it add and remove something...and I get all the stamina because of set bonuses and not having to worry about clicking something is always great!
I don't even use Conserve Energy except for those long haul fights with AV's. So get what you want and slot it how you want...just showing you my style of greatness. There are many ways to build a toon. Hell at one point the build did have Energy Drain but I definitely wasn't using that...main reason you see Overload in the build for the Shield Wall proc!

Why did you pick grant invisibility over stealth. Especially when they work off each other? Also why no slots in stamina
Notice I said download the new MIDS i19 Update first!!!

Nowhere in my version of the build is Grant Invisibility and I always slot Stamina lol

Also just think you can get the Incarnate for 33%End Reduc/20% Resistance and you got something to mitigate your damage intake. Or grab the 33%Damage/20% Defense Debuff...whatever floats your boat.

Alright this build is with the new update for MIDS i19...so make sure to update before checking out the build or some skills sets will be removed!!!!

You know I have nothing better to do...so I will put together a build for Ninja Blade/Energy Aura and post it in a few hours or less. Use it if you want, alter how you want...it's just a quick view of some goodness!

Yes I know there is a softcap but I think outside the box!
  13. Okay i got the patch downloaded earlier and now after joining a Dr.Q TF my game freezes up and now I am stuck at this auto download try and log in and get the title for this thread no matter which server I choose! What is the deal?
  14. To be honest...only time Placate for me on my Bane tends to be useful is when I am running solo or against AV's of course. Otherwise its kind of a waste because your fighting constantly on teams and using other powers more often than Placate comes up.

Anyways here is a look see at my build I got on my Bane. (Yes I know I don't have any LotG's on him and I use Ninja Run+Sprint+Hurdle+Mental Training for travel. PvE Only!!!)

  15. Being a experienced Bane myself I don't recommend having Pets on a Bane. A Crab yes...Bane no! lol

Bane is what most of them said...best for Smashy Smashy with the Mace causing alot of -Res.

I would recommend getting Venom Grenade and Surveillance if you haven't grabbed those since Venom Grenade hits multiple foes and gets you a 20% -res and Surveillance is 20% -res but you can also add the 20% -res proc from Achilles Heel as well.

Or even grab Poisonous Ray which you can also slot that proc and a nice ranged set for the IO bonuses. It's pure damage heaven against a AV especially.

Also if you want your Bane to hang with the best...get Maneuvers+Leadership and Tough and Weave. Sure assault helps the team with 15% damage and yourself but I recommend more Defense overall.

On my build I can stand and fight a Pylon if I want and rarely get hit due to its defenses and resist I built up from multiple IO sets and procs. Even facing Rommie only died twice on him out of 12 runs of the ITF in a weeks period.

Doubled with WP and you get the best of both worlds... as DM's best stuff tend to be end heavy, WP makes up for it, DM's best abilities require a lot of people around to fire up, WP gets stronger the more people around. DM's problem is it doesn't kill crowds fast, WP's strength is it gets better in crowds so it doesn't matter how slow you take them down...

finally, WP is weak vs single target AVs, while DM covers for that inadequacy with a massive self heal and a lot of single target damage.

Finally, when built right it can even rock in pvp... of all the WP based pvp builds i've seen the strongest have been WP/DM hands down, as the single target heals and massive single target damage allow it to trade punches with the most elite regen scrapper duelers on nearly equal footing.
I Co-Sign on this notion being a dedicated Regen/WP user and having a DM as my first toon ever made during Open beta of CoH that I still have.
  17. Welp thats all i needed to know...which means not getting Soul Mastery. Thanks!
  18. thx for that info. didn't have that link.
  19. If I have a Stalker I got Soul Mastery, lvl 41 Moon Beam, lvl 44 Shadow Meld.

Would I be able to work on moving my character to the heroe side to grab Epic pool set of Body Mastery and get at lvl 47 Focused Accuracy and lvl 49 Physical Perfection???

Just curious because I haven't seen this mentioned.
  20. I'm just curious! I already got a build for my bane that can withstand alot due to it's defenses. I been trying to play around on mids to see what a Banes HP would cap out at...so far with alot of mixtures of IO sets on both melee, ranged, def, res, aoe...I have attained 1957 with still no CAP showing. Does anyone know the actual cap on a Bane???

    Bane Build Help

Oh and also if your eyeballin' the IO's for GotA: 7.5% run speeds and why I used them...that is just my pref.!

By all means switch them to LotG's: 7.5% global recharge. I know that would come up eventually. So there...I said it!

    Bane Build Help

This is my PvE Only build I got worked out for my Bane which I have finished on one bane so far and working to improve a second build later...but this one can stand up to a Pylon and dodge its attacks constantly with all toggles going as well as go thru ITF with barely any problems. Only died twice on Rommie out of 12 runs we had did in a week.

Feel free to check out the build and tweak whatever. Just my little tidbit here.

    Scythe Class!!!

So I have played a few lvls on Dante's Inferno and even watched the Animated Movie. I got to the thinking. Why isn't there a Scythe class in this game. I mean its perfect. It would be much like a Broadsword rather instead of Smashing it would be more Lethal Damage, probably a little bit less damage though than a Broadsword to account for its Speed being faster than a Broadsword.

I mean why not create this class? This game really does need a serious overhaul of new class types to choose from. Even a fresh coat of paint to the old powers would do. Much like you did with choosing between the old and new styles for Martial Arts!

I don't know if DEV's are with me on this but I know alot of fellow CoX'ers would love the Scythe class as a new set for Brutes, Stalkers, Scrappers, Tanks.

Well thats my little tidbit for this early morning. I have other ideas but doubt those would get much attention as this.
  25. I would have my name saved Semi-Automatic but someone else decided to take the name when I deleted him to remake awhile back. So inspite of that! I was watching that video of the Dual Pistol and realized the moves on there closely resemble a movie.

Most that recognize my new name I put under reserve already will know what movie that is! My new toons name when Dual Pistols comes out will be True Equilibrium!
