  4. caltrops and acid mortar are subpar trash compared to other stuff that's available for the same purpose.

    mastermind pets, earth control patches, sleet, freezing rain, and acid arrow all pose a larger threat than the trash you're suggesting. even ring of fire spamming scrappers are scarrier than acid mortar (they chase me afterwards.). i wanna see an acid mortar chasing a scrapper.

    also caltrops do NOTHING but break hide.

    I kept my sonic/therm through the "healers suck because of DR" days, my spines/regin stalker was laughable all through i12 when i rolled it (got it to 50 during i13) but after pvp io's came out it became a pretty beastly toon, and my necro/storm with full accolades is just sitting in an obscure server waiting for the day it may become viable once more; same thing with my fire/sr brute, except he's now softcapped for lolpve.

    wait it out.

  8. No more than 5 bonuses having the same name. Example: Kinetic Crashes have 7.5 bonuses but they have a different name from LOTG 7.5 Bonuses, so you can theoretically have 5 Kinetic Crash 7.5 Bonuses and 5 LOTG 7.5 Bonuses without having one not count.

    As to documentation on DR, there's none. I believe the devs have kept the system extremely opaque as to be able to tweak it without having us call them out on stupid moves constantly. That's my conspiracy theory of the week.

    but yeah, afaik pvp bonuses are named "pvp recharge bonus" or "pvp resistance bonus" and blah blah, so under the "set names" rule, it means they follow their own rule of 5.

    and yes, they are affected by DR. DR is calculated on a per power basis so anything that adds to a power gets factored in using AT specific numbers.

  23. if you're building it right, you will only have two possibly power slots from your primary.

    so it really doesn't matter.
    pick a primary with a pet so that you can get that 3% hp set in and you're good.
