What to pair with empathy?
if you're building it right, you will only have two possibly power slots from your primary.
so it really doesn't matter.
pick a primary with a pet so that you can get that 3% hp set in and you're good.
Illusion's nice - Blind, PA, and go. Mind's nice too, but mine's build for 2v2s. No Recovery Aura (between a few blues, CP, and Geas I am not having too many issues) but Confuse, Levitate, and TK can mess stuff up.

Does sup. invis. have any kind of added benefit over Stealth + stealth IO? The only reason I ask is because I used to PvP as an ill/emp and I don't believe it would suppress. Though that was before IOs.
Will PA actually get any real use because of how fast things move around and now that my hold won't keep them in place for more than 2-4 seconds?
And finally, TK. I know this used to be really annoying, lol, but does it still continuously cause repel, or will it supress after a bit? I've been in zones the past few days and havn't run into any of these things yet.

1. SI is a waste unless you're using it as a LotG/KB mule. You'll be stealth-capped with the IO and Stealth anyways, and in an arena match the other team will be at percep cap anyways, so it's not really an issue.
2. PA is more there for targeting disruption (the other team has 3 more targets to tab through, basically, and can be a pain from a distance or on smaller maps) than damage.
3. TK doesn't repel (at least the Troller/Dom version) and shuts off after six seconds, but it will hold someone for the full duration if they aren't in mez suppression originally. Think of it as an autohit cage that breaks once the target takes damage.

I like fire over ill anyhow - pets move much faster for targeting screws and move in such a random hop pattern - PA is time limited where as Imps stay till dead (you or them).
Depending on how you build you can hp cap a fire/emp troller easy...
I would take phase over hiber - you get powerboost, temp invuln for better dmg res (epics now give across the board dmg res) and if you need it conserve power or the ranged attack to slot for hp...plus powerboosted heals...natch
So I recently came back after being completely turned off by the i13 PvP changes and decided I wanted to make a buffer, or more to the point, empathy.
) but also be able to throw around a bit of disruption to help with the battle.
I've searched the forums and people will often suggest to make an emp, yet I'm not sure what to pair it with. I'm sure it would be a controller, seeing as they have access to hibernate, but I'm not sure which primary.
I want to be able to be a good healer for the group (Or pocket healer
Mind seems like a nice choice for dominate -> levitate.
I'm not sure about illusion unless sup. invis. has any benifits over stealth + stealth IO.
And earth and ice both seem to have nice slows but I'm not sure how well those work out in PvP now.
