Thank you Black Pebble..With all this craziness about, I was afraid NCSOFT may have disabled the game from being updated.

I resubbed to gold on CO, taking advantage of that 33% off 3 month deal. I like CO, its fun and it has its charms. Unfortunatly it is no COH.

I'm looking at CO as more of a place to immortalize my toons from COH(some came out, not so bad).

Not sure CO has the staying power to keep me involved for more than a month, but I will jump on from time to time when I get the time and in that mood.

For now, I will play the hell out of COH until the servers go down.

Hi all, I know this may be more appropiate for the tech forums, but not many on there anymore.

So I'm having some windows errors and the such, that may require me to reinstall my system. No big deal to me as I have everything saved(even my COH files)..

My question is, now with our fourth coming doom with this game, would I be able to download the client and all of the expansion?

I have the hard copy of COV/COH, but need to know that if I do reinstall my computer, will I be able to download the game and play until the servers are shut down?

any help would be appreciated.

That as a die-hard sci-fi and hero fan, that there was finally a game for me to expand my creative sides. I've been gaming for over 40 years, and no game, and I mean no game has close to feeding all my needs of creativity.

Add a world class community and devs who loved the game as much as I do, and I feel like I'm losing family.

When I was 18, I had a character concept I always wanted to implement. As a writer, she only thrived within msword docs and in the form of typed out origins(with a typer-writer, yeah I'm that old).

Next was for her to grace canvas and paper, and although she now had visual life, she lacked animated existence.

Then comes COH almost 2 decades later, and she became alive, with a fleshed out origin and even the comics I made about her back in the day came alive with MA. I think I will miss MA the most from COH.

COH brought to life a thought, a concept and vision. I consider COH my dream maker.

And her existence will end just when she became fully evolved. This. this is what makes me the most sad and what hit's hardest.

My wife saying "After this one mish, please go change the baby's diaper", and then 2 hours go by and she has already done it.

That. And that alone.

I've recently went back to CO, and although it is not COH, it is a good game. For me, I'm a gamer, and I play lots of games(at least I did when I wasn't marrried with 2 kids).

They just do somethings right. Being able to create your toon and use any name you want(As long as it's not copywrited). so no more "Who has my name!?". They now have the nighthawk interceptor, which is the 1st superhero MMO That has vehicles.

Freeform is just awesome. I can be a blaster, weak dom, Tanker, and MM-kinda, healer all at one time. I find the costume creator more than satisfies me, especially since 80% of my toons are alien based.

The ability to log out of one toon and into another in 9 secs is conveinent.

Now we all know the one major drawback to CO, is teaming. It's horrible. Honestly with my time constraints I can't put more than 2 hours a day into any game, so I don't mind the soloing.

As of right now, I'm also short on time, so I have to wrap this up, but will add more good perceptions to CO soon.

To everyone o nthis thread that is unsure of the game, give it a try. Turn off Comicbook outline, to give your toon a better graphical look. Adjust your settings(there is one that is almost made for COH).

The one question I do have, now that COH is "slated" for closing, is Cyptic has to know that a lot of COH refugee's will be jumping over, and I'm wondering if they will push it up a few notches after Nov 30th, to entice our player-base. Be expecting gold subs being lowered and some other shiny's being offered,

How do you access these arcs on beta? I'm still a VIP, but when I go to my contacts list and select story arcs I only have up to episode 3. I went int othe market to see if it was purchasable, but the "Cart" icon is no longer there. Any able to play the SSA2: 4 & 5? And how did you get them?

I think maybe the possibly of open frame work power sets. Always wanted a dual pistols/sword toon.

2)Well since ish 24 is already out there, they could start the party with releasing that.

3)Devouring earth for incarnate pets

4)Put some time and effort into MA.

5)Battalion

6)Work towards a COH2

Enjoy hunting down trolls and rats to level up.

Never had a problem with farming either. It's not what the devs intended the use of MA for, but the same can be said for anything.

Most def. I burn through $5.00 on a daily basis on impractical stuff, putting it towards COH, I'd do in a heart beat.

Some of things I loved in CO.

1)Costume creator-Not as good as COH's, but still good.

2)Nemesis system- To create your own arch-enemy and he/she randomly appears in a mission..Genious.

3)Open Framework archtype. I can be a combo of MM, Scrapper and healer all in one..Loved it.

I like to think as CO as a single player game, since teaming is, well, just not there.

Whether I will take up residence? Probably not, but I may visit time to time. Maybe just to keep some of my toons alive in some sense.

You missed the fine print for that mission statement: "As long as I can afford my yacht, 3 million dollar condo, and my ego"
