The fact that you are not only an actual RLGTP (Real Live Girl Type Person) but one that plays games, (other than with men's minds) and a whippy-keen artiste to boot, stands to gain you any sort of accolade you might desire from the gaming community at large, and this one in particular. Your BF is very lucky... very lucky indeed!

I find that really amusing; it's so weird when people say to me 'you do that.. But you're a girl!'But I'm a total geek to the core; besides CoX my favourite games of all time are Halo and Unreal Tournament; I adore first person shooters. (Which pleases my partner because we love playing together.) I'm also a total comics / anime geek. (Having said all that, I'm a girlie-girl too, my favourite color is pink and I have an obsession with Hello Kitty. @_@
teehee.

This is my first post here on the forums; so I figured I'd share a drawing of my CoH character, Whispera.

(My boyfriend got me City of Heroes for Christmas and I love it!)
I'll post some more of my drawings soon!

Well, once I get my last 4 characters their gloves and boots from the Winter Event I'll be diving right into this and another project that I've decided to do. At the moment I must get back to shopping (aka pounding Snaptooth into the dirt)!

Quite the adorable little girl!
I always wonder what kind of people kids will grow up to be when I see them. I hope she (and everyone else's children) grow up to be good people. It's so sad to see those who don't. -

I played with you a while ago! I was complementing you on your costume as well. I'm trying to think of who I was playing at the time. I know we were doing the missions for the Winter Event at the Winter Chalet. Gah! It would help if I could remember what server we were on. At the very least I had a great time teaming with you from what I can remember. -

Well done!

*walks into thread and looks around*
Did someone mention free art?
*takes a closer look*
Ah, it seems that they did! Wonderful.
*sits down on a nearby chair and gets out a thin rectangular container pulling out a card*
Here's the address to a place with a few samples you can use.
*hands a business card with a web address on it to deadmeat*
Have a look and see if there's anything you like. If anything catches your eye then have a go at it.
*closes container, puts it away and then gets up from chair and walks out of thread* -

I'd do that, but it'd take .... er.... quite some time.

I absolutely know the feeling. I really need some tools that can keep up with my imagination. -

These are all of my characters. Now I know that I don't have as many as some of you out there

I tell him that all the time , sadly alot of art types are their own worst critics
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, we're like that.
I don't really have any 'worst' stuff because it either doesn't get saved or is deleted pretty sharpish... but I have drawn some stinkers for sure... I just make sure they get sent to hell
This one however slipped through the cracks because it's (was) part of a comic (front cover if you hadn't guessed)... god... the eyes... the jaw... the hair... so... bad...
Of course, that isn't my true worst as I said, since they no longer exist

Ummm... is it just me or does it look like he's touching himself? -
Let me just say your friend has some talent. Nice work!

This thread has made me realize that my character list has a shortage of beefcake.

that's great. You could start your own comic universe with that many guys.

That isn't even counting the characters I've created outside of the game. -

I... i feel so much better about my altism....
Wow.
[/ QUOTE ]
Me too.
Let's all go celebrate by making more alts!
[/ QUOTE ]
Don't tempt me! Don't! How am I supposed to find time to play all of these characters? Am I to buy a fourth account to support my growing altism (in preparation of future alts)? That means I'll need another CoV Collectors, GvE and Hero Kit! -
So how many is that? I have 110 currently (am trying so hard not to make too many new ones) and 2 in what I consider limbo (as I don't know wheter to keep them, remake them or delete them). I still need to go through all of them and write up their desriptions. I want to write up long descriptions for all of them, and then edit them into shorter versions to paste into the space the game allows. I also want to see if I can get started on creating a website for all of my characters. If I wasn't so tired all the time and had more money. I shouldn't complain though. I mean, I could be having my brains sucked out by a giant alien insect or something. If you think about it that way, life is great!

I can always extend the time if need be. Just let me know.

With some of my new art I was thinking of going with digital inks and colors. We'll have to see how well that goes. I'm entered in the Legacy Coloring Contest too! I'd like to see if I could do all my art digital, but it's been a pain trying to adjust to the itsy-bitsy teeny-weeny little graphics tablet I have.
-
In those images I used pencil crayon for some, felt tip pens for others. I think there is one that I watercolored as well. I'll have a closer look and edit this post to add information for a more detailed response.
Ok, here's the extra information I promised. Blackthorn, Enigma and the Heroes of the Lostworlds images are all colored in pencil crayon. Stella (1), Spectrum, Sathe and Sinta are all colred in inks using felt tip pens (with Sathe having her hair colored in pencil crayon). Stella (2) is colred with watercolors. -
I originally started this as something fun for the community here to participate in. There were lots of other stuff going on, and I wanted to create a fun little group activity of my own. After seeing the amazing job Su did with the colors I started thinking that if everyone's coloring turned out that good then I might feel a little guilty if I didn't reward all that talent and effort with a little something. I made sure not to promise anything (and I'm glad I didn't) because it seems the participation level for this contest is quite low. I guess it's just my inherant ability to generate apathy.
Again though, I thank you and everyone else here for participating. I truely do appreciate it. -
Are there any other participants in this contest?
-
These may be some of my older works of art, but I could still benifit from any advice you could give me. My art hasn't moved much beyond this point so any help you could provide would be most useful.
Blackthorn Scan 1
Enigma Scan 1
Unnamed Miscellaneous Scan 1
Sinta (mislabelled as Sathe) Scan 1
Sathe Scan 1
Spectrum Scan 1
Stella/Rei Scan 1
Stella/Rei Scan 2
Heroes of the Lostworlds Scan 1
Ok, so any comments on technique, lines, inks, coloring? I excluded all my other scans as they were basically just designs traced over other artwork, but the ones I presented here were my own with all my own little mistakes and whatnot. -
Due to the lack of interest I will not be updating this thread any further.
