I'm thinking of doing the story of my main villain, having been inspired by recent programmes I've watched. (And to Weasel's probable relief, I don't mean Torchwood )

However, 100 pages of story could spread things a bit thin, to the point of: "He looked at the wall. It was very flat, the wall. Flat and smooth. Flat and smooth like all walls should be."

My laptop unfortunately has no power lead at the moment as it broke just before I moved, otherwise I'd be slightly less worried.

My money should be coming through mid-November, so I may be able to very tightly get the power-plug before I have my week-of-stuff. (Although, around the weekend of the 25th November, my time gets spent with someone much more important )

I might be along tonight, I have a free evening due to lack of funds for the Star Wars pub-crawl.

The more I think about this, the more tempted I become. It's just how to combat the 6 days without a PC, as I'm a very slow hand-writer.

You're on. I shall only be using MS Paint and a lack of any real skill, but with each picture, will be Max's progress from 1-50.

Unfortunately, I have practically an entire week in mid-November that I won't be near a computer to be able to type, which would put a large dent in the struggle for 50,000 words.

Maybe next year. Until then, I'll carry on with the novel I'm not rushing on.

A pre-planned match in the Arena? Sure, I'd agree there's more thought related to PvP in that instance.

I think I'll continue sticking to FPS's for PvP...at least that's down to personal skill rather than luck of the draw.

So what you're saying is, PvP on your own is essentially useless, unless you're lucky enough to have people around to balance out your weaknesses?

What about Chess? Neither side gets an advantage due to powers, I'd say that's purer.

If you use the planner MaX linked you to, remember to let it connect to the internet if you have a firewall, so that it can download updates and keep you up-to-date on the latest powers and patches.

Maximillian has gone underground after his attempts to use portal technology for his own means, by turning it into a super-weapon.

Saryn Kast is on the hunt for a demon being who has challenged his abilities, but as yet, has not revealed themselves properly.

Nova Violet continues to work his way up the crime ladder after leaving the Malta Operatives

Dr Apocalypse works furiously, day and night, searching for the right components for an unknown device, and can be heard muttering to himself in his cold, metallic tone about 'saving her'.

I'm playing a Grav/En Dominator as well, and I can't stress enough how important it is to get your Holds slotted up properly, as quickly as possible. Without those, you'll have far too much aggro on your hands, and will go down quickly.

Also, don't worry about things like Knockback Distance. With /En you want to be focusing on your most damaging attacks, which are Melee ones, so you'll be creating hassle for yourself by knocking things out of combat distance.

I thought the consensus reached was that the 'GG' thread had already turned into a place for all even semi-related RP to be reported in, and that things were working fine that way?

On a more positive note, it'll be interesting to see how this works out. It seems like it could be a good idea to avoid the 'confusion' FaeryFire pointed out above, and maybe banish the cyclical argument to eternity.

If you do go for Kin/Psi, which is in my opinion, a great choice, I did a build for it many months back:

TH_Buf means 'To Hit Buff'. It's a type of enhancement you can get in-game, in the same way there are Accuracy and Damage ones. It's similar to accuracy, but works differently.

The number brackets indicate at what level you should add the enhancements. For instance:

Acc(1) Dmg(3) Dmg(7) Rechg(50) Rechg(50))

Means an Accuracy enhancement should go in the first slot. At Level 3, you should put a new enhancement slot in the power, and fill it with a Damage enhancement, and so on and so forth.

In the early levels, up to about level 15, it'll be dificult to get *exactly* the enhancements wanted for the slots, so feel free to put something else in the slots until you get the right enhancement.

Glad to hear it's working out for you. Seeing as you've gone with Ice/En, here's a build Empath did a while back, that I've used as a template for mine, and works well.

The Ice primary is nice for the 'Snare' tactics you seem to like. As for a secondary, Ice of course goes nice with the Ice primary, but a popular one that's also good in PvP is the Energy secondary, due to its disorienting powers.

Personally, I'd rather have an accuracy buff for myself, especially after one mission this week, where I used Bone Smasher 11 times in a row, and it never hit, hence resulting in one dead Dominator.

I'm out tonight, but I might bring Dr Apocalypse along at some point, I've almost fleshed him out with a backstory now...

Okay, so I got my power names mixed up when I wrote the post.

Thanks for the clarification though, I wasn't sure if the power was actually 'doing' anything, but now I know it is.

I've hit level 16, and got this power. I understand it boosts 'secondary effects' and I presume from the description, it increases the length of Holds.

Does this power have any other uses for a Grav/En other than the Hold buff, and when's the best time to use it?
