This does sound like a kind of weird situation. I wonder what on earth the artist had in mind if they could actually *see* the character? Some folks I know of do that arbitrarily - changing anything to male or female, furry, melting, whatever. But usually they *ask* first lol.

I *love* those twins, that's a really great use of the metallic color set.

Try a little armor here and there - if you have the GVE pack the sinister and justice gloves and boots and shoulder doodads are awesome additions to an otherwise plain outfit.

What a friend of mine does to all his minis, is temporarily glue the base to a bottle cap like a plastic bottle has. Makes it much easier to manipulate.

They have a figure called the Glock Roach. That is made of awesome.

There are some hints on taking screenshots around, somewhere, you might want to read up on the various ways to store, save or take particular pics. If you have questions just ask!

LOL I love that first one - I've seen the guys waiting at bus stops too. The only time they've ever said anything though that I saw was "it feels like I've been waiting here forever!"

Yeah -

Screenshots normally save in your /coh/screenshots directory. But with the UI or something else in the way of a normal save, you need to have your editing program (paint, photoshop, etc) open already. Click your print screen button, and then immediately go to your paint program and paste into it. That's the only way to do it, otherwise you get a screenie of whatever your toon's looking at

First off, use Photobucket instead. A lot of work places put blocks on Imageshack.

Just open an account and start uploading They've really made it easy. In Photobucket you get a trio of links that automatically copy and you can use the html link (not the image link because you can't upload an image here period) to get right to the image.

Generally, if you'd like someone to draw your character, be prepared with these things:

1) Good screenshots of your character in action (which you have) and then solid, uninterrupted pieces of front, side, back and perhaps whatever other angle to show off details, and a closeup shot of the head

2) Money if they require it, or some kind of compensation otherwise (piles of thank you's don't always work)

3) Patience. Anything takes time, especially 'good' art.


Be patient, take some other screenies and clearly post the toon's name on them, and be prepared to be able to pay for it.

General advice: NEVER EVER use names. Ever. And, basically - if its not your problem, do not try dealing with it. Bring it to the owners attention but it's not 'our' problem. They really, REALLY hate 'posse' formation in defense of anyone.

Ugh, great. That happens from time to time.

Myself, I have gotten some WEIRD scams in my email boxes. Since I only give out a total of one 'true' email for my business transactions, I know whenever I find a 'fix your password and information at once or suffer teh consequences!!zomg' note in my odd email box I know it's a scam.

Actually the one true strange event was when there was a phishing scheme going about a bank (I think it was wells fargo) and the originating source was for Chaosium games. Someone had hacked Chaosium of all things to send scam emails, so I was like -..... this is SO weird...
