Originally I wasn't but I'll be doing some AE stuff there Sunday so I'll be rolling some. They might wind up getting mostly neglected but it'll be at least one.
-
Move one to Exalted for when we have events. Also, my home server is Victory so I'd enjoy having you over, especially if it's something with blueside access.
-
I feel it should come back. Problem is that I think morale is way too low for people to stick with it. Also, I think it's a little petty for people to ask for plays but not play other people's arcs in return. I wonder if that's part of why it died off the last time. You shouldn't need to bribe people to get them to come along and it may backfire if you can't keep up a steady income stream for them.
-
One possible problem is crowding on the larger servers. If you are trying to quickly train, it's going to be annoying having multiple people in the way because they're editing costumes.
-
Don't have the arc number on me at the moment but I'll suggest Outbroken while you're still low level.
-
While I tend to rather explicitly try to make characters look different, I notice that the A.C.C.U.H.U.D. and Targeting Optics tend to get used a lot.

Fire and ice shields have been commented on as effects that block character outfits. There's actually two options already available for alternate effects that are more subtle. It's surprising that one of the most obnoxious powersets in the game, Demon Summoning, has one of these. The aura from the Ember Demon has a variant of the Ember Shield that's small and rather nicely done. The effect for ice shields could be pulled from the small crystal effect of Frostwork.
The original effects should be kept by those who want them but the more subtle effects would probably be best as default for newly created characters. -
You see, you should pair Beam Rifle with Storm Summoning
-
There is not. This was done deliberately both for canon reasons and to try to reign in powerleveling within Praetoria itself.
-
You know if this works both ways? I need to see if this means that enemies hit by Dimension Shift are no longer trying to attack players. That will clear up a decent chunk of confusion.

I feel a lot of the problem with KB ties to the rest of the game as opposed to just KB itself. Enemies don't have small radius stacking team buffs...they have individual drones with large force fields. Thus, times when scattering the enemies would theoretically make sense are missing. Enemies are pretty all or nothing in either having no KB protection or having a high mag protection plus 1000% resistance so they resist all KB. Why do we not have enemies with +2 mag KB so they can shrug off some KD but KB can be utilized for mitigation? So many AOE KB powers are random. Shockwave is an incredibly good power since the KB is guaranteed. That leads to another thing, that so many AOE powers are high mag KB. That seems rather unneeded considering KB is the only enhancement on Schedule D with a sizable 60% buff to the power it's equipped to.
I'm trying to remember where it was said but I remember Arcanaville making a comment about a lot of status effects in the game being rather static. I think the lack of a bit more variation hurts KB the most. KD should never be universally be considered "better" but enemy design seems almost like it was made deliberately to cause problems.
I'll also massively disagree with the earlier comment that tanking can get the team killed. Some people I've teamed with do pretty awesome stuff but I pretty much am always on the lookout for a brute or MM to do something stupid that gets the team killed. -
Technically, the recipe thing is an IO problem not confined to AE. If you roll in a range, it attempts to give you an IO equal to your level. If it's something like Air Burst that goes up to 50 and you are 50 then that's the level it is. It would be vastly better if it restricted it the level range but no clue if the devs will ever do that.

You know...Cole really could have had some of that kind of writing a year ago. Him being a benevolent dictator work a lot better when he's actually trying to do something that comes off as moral.

Ever since the profanity/copyright filter hit, all of the guest author arcs have gone missing. Don't know if it's an affect of the bug or if they were deliberately discontinued.
-
Not meaning to be insulting but coming from past experience I don't believe you.

It was mentioned a few days ago in chat that I was among 4 people to speak with concerning AE on this server. I'm wondering, who were the other three?

Quote:No.Oh you don't think people buying an Architect License isn't going to be a revenue stream for them ?
As it stands, the system is far too badly damaged for it to be of any worth. As someone who loves AE, promotes it, actively helps people, and often feels like a fool for doing so, I rate the Architect License purchase at the same level that I regard a direct purchase of Shadowy Presence. -
No they wouldn't because it breaks their design for their enemies. I'm also not buying that damage should be rated higher. Sets have varying bonuses and fire's bonus just happens to be damage. The engine should not be valuing that more than everything else, especially since you can make far nastier enemies if you use debuffs.
-
Anyone else find it rather interesting that various fire powersets on customs have higher alpha point values? Considering it has no debuffs at all, it speaks a lot for how it's so popular and things could could be better reigned in by better standardizing it against other attacks.

You know what Fred, I dare you to run 516878.

48 minutes, 25 deaths is pretty decent.
Anyone take pictures? -
Quote:No pics? What a tease. Could Zwil or another member of the community team at least show a clean shot of the blue ice woman like was shown with the minotaur and the male barbarian? There are more Barbarian pieces than we've seen thus far, including more for the female.
I gotta say...CoT pieces look better on players than the Circle of Thorns themselves. -
I'm curious, which powers do they have? Fewer attacks should make them less destructive while fine tuning the secondary can adjust the survivability.
