No unstoppable? It's pretty handy to just slap on in the last 2 minutes of an arena fight and go bezerk, and it's even easier to use in the zones now that the new i7 HUD stuff is in, since you can run off when it starts blinking.

No change of plans for the Mitos, since I think they haven't been changed that much. The amount of LR and EF people should be using on them should mean we aren't much slower than usual anyway.

Hamidon raid, be outside the hive betweeen 7pm and 7:45pm on the 18th of June. Guide is here, notes are as follows:

To speed things up a bit and reduce the confusion, Honsou will call out when the Mito that he's targetting is on half health, when it's dead and when he's moving on to another mito so that people know what's going on. If you're still attacking a mito after he calls out that the one he's targetting is dead, you're attacking the wrong one.

Another change this time around, we'll be using a "Bubbler". This is a tactic used in the US to help people make sure they're in the right place during the mito clearing phase. Basically, one /FF controller runs Dispersion Bubble (In this case, Mesmer). If you're not inside/near the bubble, you're in the wrong place. This doesn't mean we need ALL bubblers to run it though, just Mesmer.

In addition to this, if we're going fast enough in the Mito clearing I'll split the clearing into two teams. If you don't have fly, and have to stick near the ground then Mesmer is your targetter. If you can fly, stick with Honsou. However, I'll only do this if stuff starts going fast. Otherwise, just follow Honsou and smack his target.

Also, no capes no auras for your costume. Anything else is up to you.

Either slot Sonic Siphon 2 acc 3 recharge or don't slot it at all.

I'd put some tohits in aim, an endrdx in SJ and also you're taking Clarity way too late.

Ok, here's what we're going to do:

Draw the fixtures for next week immediately after the fights tonight, and then post them up tonight. Once these are up, it's up to you to co-ordinate your team-mates and opponents to fight before 10pm on Friday the 16th of June. Results for Union should be PMed or global /t'd to me (Xanthus) and Defiant results should be sent to Captain Morgan. It might be a good idea to take a screenshot of your results, and post the date/time of your match on the thread as well in case people want to come and watch.

We're not defecting, we just already have enough decent PvP toons on Defiant for whoever wants to challenge us

If you want a fight, or if there are any big nights in Sirens or RV we'll probably pop along for a little while.

I'm in with Xanthus, a gravity/empathy controller.

If you feel like doing it twice, I'd quite like to run it with Decibellion as well, sonic/sonic defender.

I was simply replying to your flame of Stalk-obot. As far as I can tell, he's one of the few people with 50s on both servers. He is qualified to make the argument that one raid is better than another, which is something that neither you or I can do.

The method Jiaozy used involves completely ignoring the mito's while staying under a heal blanket. That takes the entire mito clearing phase out of the raid.

Except that didn't the raid take 3 hours in total? With mito clearing, the defiant raids take around an hour and a half. I would think that's faster.

Either way, arguing like this is pointless. I was just pointing out that you can't say "Union raids are better" since you don't have any substantial evidence.

At least 40 of the 120 people that turned up last night were on their first Hamidon raid. Some of them couldn't even speak english, and most of them didn't know a guide even existed for the raid.

We do it every two weeks, and I haven't even slotted half the HOs I've picked up. The most any of us have is (iirc) around 6, which really doesn't make that much difference.

Totally understand that Jersey but there's a reason HO's are not a problem in Europe like they are in the US. Hamidon has never been farmed over here so it's very rare to find someone with more than 1 or 2.

Hell, if anyone should be complaining, it should be us as one of the Union teams uses a US transferred scrapper who is fully slotted with HOs. However, we don't. You know why? We know we have the skill to beat him, HOs or not as they don't actually make that much of a difference.

This really won't unbalance monday night PvP any more than Stalk-obot showing up with Spyka does. Besides which, Kinslayer, why should you care? You don't even come to the monday night matches!

Sure, if you like having no end. It has a tohit-check in it as well (at least, I was seeing lots of "Miss!" ticks when I was using it on people) which you can't slot for, so it's not really that great. The range is tiny as well, so you can't really drop it on someone and then move away from them as it'll switch right off again.

I don't, though after this raid I'm tempted to just bind the stuff I have to say over and over again to my numpad. I'm pretty sure my capslock is broken, I was hitting it on and off so much.

I'm actually pretty glad that people haven't griefed my raids. It seems more like a lack of ability to understand what I say, though I do try to make stuff as obvious as possible I suppose you could mistake "GET OUT OF THE BUBBLE NOW!" for "STAND AROUND IN THE BUBBLE FOR A WHILE!"

No! I would never instruct the Hami tank to go and stand next to people who aren't leaving the raid so they get caught in Hamidons AoE. I wouldn't ever dream of doing something like that. No sir, not me.

I think my favorite part of this raid was when someone said "SOMEONE NEEDS TO TELL NOVOCAINE, EMPATH AND EXTREMUS TO GET OUT OF THE BUBBLE!" over broadcast. I can tell they were clued in as to what was going on, and had definitely read everything I said over request.

I might be there, actually, if I can get my ill/emp to 45 in that amount of time. I reckon it's doable, eh?

Will be nice to see if Union can keep up with (or outdo) the pace I've set on Defiant

Except that, compared to a defender, it's actually not that massive.

/FF is just plain better than /Sonic for PvP. Things might be a little different for defender sets (since I really do love sonic resonance as a set) but for controllers /FF comes way out in front.

Nah, the sonic set isn't worth it on a Controller. FF offers the same bonuses (PbAoE mez protection, single target phase) as well as some brilliant powers like Force Bubble and Repulsion Bomb. The values for /sonic are way too low, and Liquefy just doesn't compare to Force Bubble at all.

Yeah, they have clarity but if you're on a team you should have an empath with Clear Mind anyway.

Unfortunately, that won't work now. That was posted 2 years ago, before snipe range was reduced and pre-ED/i5.

The devs have said more than once that we aren't doing hamidon the "right" way, anyway. He has some weakness that nobody knows about which makes him defeatable with far fewer people.
