They probably couldn't understand a thing you were saying. So you were probably wasting your time.

I think I made a comic about that... hold on a sec *ruffles through some papers*

    Ah, here you go:

  3. Also I need to correct something here:

One camp in player base seems to believe that Cimerora was in Italy and set roughly the time of the real Romulus Augustus. This would make it set in the middle of the first centruy A.D.
That would make it around the 5th century AD, even later, not the 1st.

Romulus Augustus (fl. 461/463 – aft. 476, bef. 488), more known by his nickname Romulus Augustulus (Little Augustus), was the last Western Roman Emperor reigning from the 31 October 475 until his deposition on the 4 September 476.

No, because all versions of that power don't have scourge attached to them.

(Base damage + Scourge + Damage Resistance DeBuff) > (Base Damage + Damage Resistance DeBuff) thus Corruptor endurance cost > Defender or Blaster endurance cost. It's as simple as that.

It's all because of the COMBINATION of Scourge AND the debuff.
  5. To be honest, I always thought that the name of the place was a reference to Conan the Cimmerian. You know how our devs just LOVE to throw in geek references.

But that's just a guess, and only a guess at the name at that.

    This.

Slot VS for damage as much as possible before it hits ED, then slot for accuracy. Recharge will NOT help you though, because you can't have more than one VS out at a time, and last I recall the recharge time of the power is less than or equal to the amount of time that VS stays out for.

I love VS, it's my favorite "pet" because it can't be killed unless you are and it keeps on attacking, even if you're mezzed.

    Windows 7

Probably not. You can run CoH from a thumb drive, I don't see why you'd need to reinstall it after upgrading operating systems. Just make sure when you upgrade to Win7 that you choose the advanced options and make sure that it doesn't format the hard drive before installing.

You should still be backing up all your personal files before such an upgrade anyway, so why not just copy the CoH folder to your backup source as well just in case?

Because other tier 1 blasts don't have damage resistance debuff as their secondary effect.

Only the heroes carry the bracelets that let them teleport to the hospitals upon defeat. The citizens do not have these.

I'm not sure what the story is for villains, or if it's even explained.

  16. Oh here we go again.

So, what, exactly, is heroic about using the powers of the netherworld (Dark Miasma and Blast, DEFENDER powers) or incinerating people with fire?

Seriously, let it go. It's a game. Play it and have fun.

Well such rarity is what forces those of us who want ... seeing all content, to farm.
You DO realize that you CAN "see all content" with just SOs... right?

The only reason anyone would "need" purples is for the aforementioned "advancement past 50", and people like me that like the game 1-50 don't need that advancement because we can just roll up another alt.

  23. I don't farm because I find it BORING.

However, if other people want to treat their game like a part or full-time job, they are free to do so. Just means cheaper stuff for me to buy in the future.

PLing? I don't see the point. I enjoy the entire game, from 1-50.
