Hey Manticore, your answer to the Romulus/Romulus question threw me for a loop. When i12 was in beta, Hero1 told us there was a connection between the two. Can you clarify?
Edit: I spel goud. -

A test to prove my claim would be simple... have every primary fire each of their ST attacks at identical targets once, and add up the damage.
[/ QUOTE ]
That doesn't show which one has better DPS. In fact, it doesn't show any worthwhile metric at all.
The fact of the matter is that DPS>All. DPS is what determines how fast you solo, DPS is what determines how much damage to contribute to a team. Simply adding up the damages on a bunch of powers with no respect for how long it takes to actually deliver that damage is, quit frankly, pointless.
So you'll have to forgive me for interpreting "The Most ST Damage" in a way that is mathematically useful, and not in the way that makes you seem right. -
1: All sets (except Ill and sometimes Mind) benefit from Containment equally. Any effect it has on the data is negligible, since it has the same effect across the board. If you really want to, add ~3-5 DPS to the Mind and Ill scores to compensate.
2: Since the tests were all done against a single target, why does it matter if Hotfeet and AoE powers were used? The DPS measured is still single target.
3: Please follow Ditzy's advice and provide Data to back up your claims. -
Fire/Traps
Fireball, Inferno, FFG (it explodes when it dies), Trip Mine, Time Bomb -
<---See? I'm not being serious.

I'm not arguing, I'm poking fun at a strangely worded phrase. I suppose I should have put a
at the end of that post.

Yeah, pretty much.

Not really.
Huntsman can take a lot more team oriented powers without sacrificing anything.

Meaning a Crab has a bunch of more worthwhile powers? -
Imperious = Statesman
Daedalus = Positron
Sister Solaris = Sister Psyche
Orion = Manticore
Marathon = Synapse
Parthenon = Citadel
Which leaves BABs and Numina
Also: Sister Airlia = Ghost Widow. In fact, Posi may have used the Cimeroran Patrons as enemies in his game. Can't remember for sure. -
Cram as much Acc, Dam, Recharge, and procs into as you can. It doesn't matter where it comes from, or what the source is.
I'm still trying to decide on a less vague slotting, though. Recharge is priority, followed by a little Acc. I haven't tested enough to tell whether damage or procs are more worthwhile -
Adding recharge makes Grav look even worse (by comparison. Read my previous post to see why.)
-
Keep in mind, that ST damage from a primary is pretty much worthless on a Dom, since the Assault sets all give you much better DPS.
And another thing, those tests were done with no recharge slotting. Grav gets a decent showing there because none of the other sets can form a good attack chain. As you add recharge, the other sets will get tighter and tighter attack chains and will sart putting out higher and higher DPS. Grav, on the other hand, will quickly become bogged down by it's animation times and will lag more and more behind the other sets. -

plus more ST damage than any other control primary.
[/ QUOTE ]
No it does not. Would people please stop saying things like this? -
Does anyone remember the names of the Cimeroran versions of the Freedom Phalanx? Positron used them for his PnP game at last years HeroCon. The only one I can remember (besides the ones currently in game) is Marathon/Synapse.

[I don't get this thread]

OneWhoBinds has it.
The -regen, -recharge, and all hold ticks but the first are autohit, and hit everything within the gas every second. If something stays in the cloud for the whole duration, they will be affected by the -regen for ~40s. -
Sweet jeebus, Castle really did fix it.
Not only are Ranged AoE sets enhancing all subpets, but procs are firing at all opportunities. I've just done some preliminary tests, but everything is pointing to CC being completely un-borked now. -
There is an e-mail address for these kinds of things. I can't remember what it is, but it dhows up in the loading screen tips.
