This one is rather amuzing http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=nC5h27sinjM. Nicely produced, little long in places to match the music.

  2. Jeez louise, ok if...and I stress if my post was a cause of annoyance then that was not what I intended, if anyone has seen my previous posts I am a staunch supporter of the game and the community therein.

It was simply (possibly skewed) an attempt at levety to the fact that as others noted, this is an ongoing weekly occurance that is becoming old hat

Now on the other hand if the OP is a new player and doesnt know this then I apologise if what seemed to be baiting, ....wasnt aimed at you....and if you are reading this OP, then just have patience, ive been here for 2 years almost now and there are allways lulls.
Bear in mind this is a 4 yr old game that has one of the best communities compared to others, stick with it and eventually youll break that wall and enter a rich world full of mental cossies, hardcore badge-ing, uber sillyness during fun tfs (auto running into av's on squishys etc) nights of inane sillyness at GG, and other related insanity

This game is much much more than it seems at first glance, its like walking into a club with a few mumbling regulars at the bar, only to stumble through a side door and catch the hidden weekly mental basement rave.

However I still stand by rabbits song for those who know better
  3. Seems not a week goes by without this beast rearing its head, every time it does, this ^^ should be played over as a theme tune

Not the best versions but to just simply show mass player events (which I think is what you are after idf I read correctly) here are some that I could dredge up while at work.

    Krull at Ironforge
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHo7BHo3CJQ

    EvE Titan massacre
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8MIR9r4cj4

Again these arnt the best but they do show a level where players band together to make something quite memorable

This was a fun one from CoH I managed to stumble across from ages back

I watched this earlier in the week and was impressed, to be honest Tsumis grouping for the hami was just as prolific, although we didnt win, if someone had have recorded the insanely quick manner in which a full zone of 50 heroes dispatched each GM with ease then flowed to the next, that would have been good to see

Although I have seen some good videos from "other" games such as The krull massacre at iron forge or some good vids showing titan destructions on EVE, samuraiko does make some tasty looking vids.

Me likey , now we just need some more union events as per the hami or the last few mommyship raids to show the rest Onion is still alive and kicking (back off GG )
  6. Woot finally got home, ok so havnt had much time to get the "perfect" pose but ahh well youll get the idea, these are mostly the most prolific of my toons from union but there are more I need to dust down, especially my villains, but here goes;

1- Stryke my first hero - En/Em blaster, has undergone many a costume change in his time, settled on this for the moment as his main look.
    http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/h...2-18-52-04.jpg

    2- Cosmatron my new Earth/Rad
    http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/h...2-18-55-53.jpg

3 - Rockcrete my Russkie tank
    http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/h...2-18-58-02.jpg

4 - Mental Fusion, First Defender
    http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/h...2-19-05-01.jpg

5 - Zhu Rong my chinese avatar of fire (a little unsure about this one )
    http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/h...2-19-12-33.jpg

6 - Cryo Fusion, stealth blapper
    http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/h...2-19-15-05.jpg

7 - And last but not least Warscythe my favourite toon, for many reasons, I had severe altitis till I played this toon

    http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/h...19-17-26-1.jpg

    http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/h...2-19-17-49.jpg

    http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/h...9-19-03-23.jpg

Well finally done, still may have more to come, every toon has four other costumes remember .....
  7. Excellent work there Psy, love the "retro" style costumes, Sapphic was right you did nail it Especially loving the 50/60's style bob to complement the costume, very nicely done

(still at bloody work, damn I wanna post mine noooow!! )

    [ QUOTE ]
Are you mental Sapphic?? All in all nice work, shouldnt knock yourself mate

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm thinking, skip the chunky boots. What's with you and chuncky boots, Sapphic? Seriously, chunky boots look good on huge model Tankers. That's about it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Although as I said I do like that cossie, the one thing I would change would be the boots, for a true retro look the folded boot option would fit the theme just right but again not to say this is a disassembly of your look sapphic, just my 2 cents, but its a damn good interpretation of the "golden" era imho.

  9. [ QUOTE ]

    Freya Fallout
My character in our tuesday all defender team. Me and Psygon made our characters in a 50/60's hero style (least she did, my attempts were not as good).

    [/ QUOTE ]

Are you mental Sapphic?? these are your best ones imho real flair for that "retro" look I love em ..especially the second from the left, nice mix of colours and effective use of blending with the chest piece and top chest design, blends in v. well. All in all nice work, shouldnt knock yourself mate

Plus I like the battledress for Ni, Raven, subtle use of the armour pieces, nice look

(still at work so cant post mine yet, curses!!! )

    Bombardment - AR/Dev Blaster - 2nd Costume

Didnt bother with a weapon drawn one for this, i think it needs some work yet to complete it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I like this one mate, told you so at the last cossie comp, got a nice "patriotic" feel to it

    [ QUOTE ]

Bombardment- AR/Dev Blaster- Costume 3 - Weapon Drawn

Although I would love to claim i designed this, I asked Warscythe if I could make a female version of his costume and he agreed. All credit goes to him for making such a brilliant design.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Aww shucks , but as I said mate you made it work within the concept, plus the Vanguard rifle suits the style to a tee
  11. [ QUOTE ]
Hehe, glad you liked it Stryke. Admittedly I wasn't into Metal until Justicar vs. Amalay requested music from Disturbed. Now I'm loving it. For the next batch of fights, I'm now armed with 100 rock, metal and electronica music inspired by Mortal Kombat! Now I just need to figure out how to fix the in-game sound recording problem.

By the way Beet, I must make it known *cough* that I was distracted in last week's fight *cough* trying to video record and kick your arss at the same time. Hence my poor performance in both areas. So tonight, I will either kick your arss bigtime™ or pair you up with someone who will. Mu ha ha ha!! (78)

    [/ QUOTE ]

To be honest my main style of music is varied, differing from Ian Brown to Mos Def via Jurrasic 5 through to hardcore metal, but the latter is the only music to listen to when cleaving through enemies, gotta say you do pick some good choices, loved the prodigy choice for the fire blaster fight (fire starter)

And I would love to see that rematch between the PB and Beets toon, was the best fight of the night (after mine of course - modest..me? )

P.S might have a few SG buds joining tonight, not sure if some want to enter but they will for sure watch the carnage, nice to get a crowd going

    Hami Raid

    [ QUOTE ]
You need to be able to enter Eden which I think requires you to be level 45.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Eden minimum level for entry is 33 but i think you mean the "hive" which is as you said is level 45 minimum

But iirc he is talking about the mothership raid which Tsumi ran on wednesday...to much success (over 300 merits without a death - for me anyways - thank god we had ML on our team )and with that success in mind he said he will be running some more
  16. I do have to say the first time I ended up in GV with my spanky new 'puter and saw the towering spire, all wonderfully blurred, with some nice shading effects on recluse's statue, all with his inane rants going on in the screens to either side of me, I was quite impressed...sometimes you forget you are playing a four year old game......

Oh and in reply to the st martial aspect, the looming lights of the Giza in the background is impressive, just wish there were similar sights on blueside, apart from the mental waterfalls in the SS and the wonderful revamped locales in some oro missions (atlas catwalk show - the 5th column plateau on the last mish of the TF) and others such as the titan hangar in Hess' tf, I pray for more diverse maps such as these for missions than the regular cave/office/warehouse rehashes.

Plus on a side note its been a year since I ran a full char all the way on villains, whats the mission in that huge cavern where there is a formation that looks like the lower mandible of some giant beast?...that impressed me mightily and havnt seen anything close aside from the vastness of the interior of the eden cavern......

my brain has gone blank....(hungover to hell )
  17. Excellent work Pi, loving the write ups on the Gladiator forums, adds a great touch, cant wait till this saturdays bouts
  18. Very nice work Pi, cant wait to see last saturdays matches

    Same time this weekend though?
  19. This build was simply put together to see the enahncements at 50 plus bonuses, I have posted the first one and not the one ingame, sets are exactly the same just in the correct order so please ignore that part. (but also to clarify, since I have completed most of the lower tf's bar Hess and Moonfire I tend to pvp or do the higher TFs or badgehunt)

Thanks for the comments though, and where I see the point on whirling sword I primarily solo/pvp on this toon and he does me fine so far, so I will answer the questions raised...

Firstly as per the Achilles heel, the debuff works great for me coupled with BS' inherent.

Tough and weave may seem overkill but as I have no want for any of the epics etc I went for these, yes it may seem overkill to some but I am still learning and I find it to work wonders for me.

So thankyou for the comments but I was looking to see if you thought it was a worthy build, take note I am not as experienced as 90 percent of players here hence why I wished for critiques from all you guys who I respect here.

Again I thank you for the comments ...please keep them coming its always beneficial to see others opinions

    Ta guys
  20. Ok so here is my build for my main scrapper Warcythe, im only missing steadfast prot to complete the lot but thought id post it for criticism as I am loving it atm but wanted to share with the rest of you, be honest and let me know what you think, all and any criticism welcome

    I like these ideas. /signed.

..In addition I would like a teleport animation of an elevator that comes up out of the ground 'Bill-'n'-Ted style, you enter before it switching to a cutscene of your character inside listening to Musak™ whilst /em,waiting - before the doors going 'ding' and opening for your exit.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Now that would be class!

    [/ QUOTE ]

    I want a Tardis!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Only if you have Tom Baker as the elevator/tardis announcer Giving his own madcap descriptions of each zone you enter a-la his quotes from little britain.....that would be enough for me
  23. (( ok just have to say was my first time on this event last saturday and loved it, had all the elements I love on this game PvP plus RP combined and the guys were very gracious in their appraisals of the fights, am looking forwards to more ))

After awaiting the combatants to arrive, Warscythe settled into his pre-battle meditation, upon arrival of the first group, a battle hardened female by the name of Rumour and a very elegant female eminating power from within by the name of Lady Arete, he began to converse with some, essentially greeting his would be opponents as respectfully as fellow warriors deserve.

Soon after the area filled up and Warscythe was quietly anticipating testing his mettle against some of these pre eminant combatants.

Then after a short while of mingling (something that a warrior with War's background, finds a little awkward) the fights were announced by the host of the ceremonies...

Changing his regular attire into his ceremonial battledress, Warscythe pulled "reaper" (his long serving warblade) from its sheath...checked its keenness and entered the arena with his opponent................

(( will await the full results table from Pious and the vid if possible before I continue....dont want to spoil it just yet ))

Oh and stryke, that stop nightstar is fine unles your weak to nrg dmg. She put the furt on my DM/DA to the point where I had to pop a buch of purple insps.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That is a fair point, I was putting it from Warscythes experience so never thought of energy-vunerable toons
But the same goes on war against such as Diabolique ...that Prae arc which contains Infernal is a double edged sword, Infernal is easy as my parry counters almost everythin he hits me with (melee anyway) but Diab is another kettle of fish, that constant phase/buggering off around the map causes me no end of pain.
  25. Just was thinking tho about which zones would be applicable per transport, would it make sense to have the areas that the war walls connect to? or would that still bring problems i.e multi zoning to reach a far zone or would it be more prudent to have a bunch of zones more akin to the PTA lines (green/yellow) ?
