I haven't had access to the forums for a few days, but found that the "reset your NCSOFT Master Account password" trick worked great and RIght Away!
-
I noticed this yesterday as well. I didn't know if it was the game or perhaps my lack luster internet, but NOTHING else was running slow/streaming/etc so it wasn't on my/ISP's end.

You're assuming that the Operating system that your running knows how to use/release memory properly as well I'd gather. ;-)
-
Wait, what's this "Galaxy City" you are all talking about? ;-)

Quote:Well THERE's the problem...they were told it was rabbit season when in fact it was penguin season. ;-)IIRC, Avatea said that those in charge of the Copy Tool are having a hard time tracking down why, exactly, it's not working. They thought they had it fixed at least twice, and it turns out that they didn't.
So, it's probably going to take longer than expected to find that missing semicolon in the code:
Also, maybe we'll get lucky, and it'll come back online when the Beta Server does in 2 hours... -
I get this too. My best guess is that they're updating the Test server ahead of time in case people not able to get into Beta will be able to test out their toons Before committing them to live.

Quote:This and I was under the impression that your account had to be active as of July-ish anyway. The beta server is operating off of account information from back in July. It is not intended to be up-to-date with the live servers, as they've been playing with the data on the backend and don't want the two tied together.
Basically, if your account wasn't active in July, then you won't be able to access the beta server without being manually added by one of the moderators. As Kheldarn said, PM Zwillinger or Avatea... but it probably won't happen on Monday, and honestly, it won't matter anyway, because Issue 21 is going live for current subscribers on Tuesday. -
Quote:Ya I remember the whole server consolidation screen-wise, but I didn't realize it was locality-wise too.

Quote:Um, I don't know about Your directory, but comparing My CoHBeta directory to my CoHLive directory seems to point to a little more than just simple pigg revisions. Anyone Else notice the quicktime files? It'll take longer, but somehow I think it'd be safer (less headachy) to just bite the DL.You will have to download a patch. I'm relatively certain that what is going on live isn't precisely what they have on the beta nor on test. They will have some adjustments. However, copying over the last known good install and patching from that is going to save you a multi-gb download.
Or you can try copying your beta install over to your test install and patching (if at all) from there, and so avoid the 2.5 gb test update patch. The same process should be a time-saver on the live servers once they patch with the new issue. This is standard operating procedure for COH. I'm surprised you don't know this already.
Worst case you have to download the entire thing anywise. In which case you lose nothing from trying. Whatever helps you sleep at night. -

Quote:yeah, I noticed there was no Pinn love there either :-/Will there be additional servers & times announced, or is the plan really to just have a major in-game plot event on only two of the classic eleven US servers? For all the marketing hype about existing customers being VIPs, that certainly doesn't bode well.
As a closely-related question, how well balanced is the "multi-level" version of the Praetorian Invasion II for meaningful participation for lower level characters? Some of us still have the semi-disposable characters from the Freedom load test we could fire up again, but the question is whether it's reasonable to plan on being able to actually participate, or just log on for the badge. -
Quote:You get 7 Entire megabits per second?!?I just hope it doesn't take six to seven hours to download this patch. Some people only have access to DSL level broadband speed of only 7-15MBpm.
I miss the days when we can prefetch a week or more before an issue launch.

Is this where I tell you about the words paragraph and spacing. ;-)

Quote:Could you work on this as well? It's been quite hectic lately but we are waiting for a more definitive response from our operations team before we can give you an update on the character copy tool. Thank you for your patience all!

Quote:I skipped it on my first /time toon simply because I was going solo...I'm thinking of skipping it.
A) Too many damn powers that need taking.
B) Too many damn powers to click.
C) The buff isn't that great. If 50% +rech from my Chrono Shift doesn't put into the stratosphere of +rech then, uh, screw you.
D) The +dmg isn't that great, and the added healing isn't that great.
Basically, combine that "meh" factor with the fact that I don't want to have one more power to monitor and it's a pretty unappealing selection for me. Since I'll be leveling this toon the old fashioned way when I21 hits, I'll probably take it and respec it out later. -

"The selected service is currently unavailable."
This is what I get for the last hour now (since I've started trying) and I haven't seen any announcements mentioning it either way. -
It was way worse yesterday, but I'm still getting the occasional logout

Words cannot fully encompass the level of appreciation ;-)

Fixed for me! Nice and fairly quick response

Quote:Could we find a way to consolidate the new League tabs as many of us lost a decent amount of screen real estate and there is no easy fix on sub 20" screens. Not really a bug but i noticed that the queue dropdown for the incarnate trials is under "LFG" menu which im assuming means "Looking for group". Where as the "looking for group" dropdown is under the "League" menu. Is this working as intended or did somebody accidentally place them in the wrong section?
