After 2 team wipes I was losing patience. Not only was he NOT buffing, he wasn't healing either.

It's a tough one. A defender who doesn't want to be a buff bot? What about the scrapper who doesn't want to get into melee?
My advice - back to the toon creator and roll up something you DO want to be.

From the empath in question's behaviour I think he really wanted to be a blaster.

So a defender has access to 18 powers and because he doesn't want the one that he has to cast regularly (therefor cutting into his time using the other 17 powers) he should reroll a different toon?

You know, I can't bring myself to say it.

Just because I have secondaries doesn't mean it's a weak defender build. But yes it's a WAI proof that a defender can debuff and blast at the same time.

No it's not a solo build.

You be correct about recharges, It'll be something I decide as I go through the levels whether certain powers need to be recharged quicker.

But with 18 types of arrow available to me I doubt i'll be using the same ones all the time

can we debate en mass?

Oh and fighting a lvl 50 blaster in sirens the other day when he got killed by NPCs shouted "You got me 110k of debt"

My lvl 35 BS/Regen Scrapper vs a lvl 40 dark/Inv Brute in warburg.

After about 5 minutes of whacking I take him down to half health and he hits unstoppable, I continue to whack away because end isn't a problem, he stands there trying to fight back and still doing minimal damage to me.

2 minutes later just as unstoppable is about to drop he Superjumps away, I chase.

Unstoppable drops and he says "wait, give me a minute please"

Buil up + headsplitter = dead brute

we used to do that with vengeance, just tp a dead person around using it.

was quite fun, especially if the dead person needed to go afk for a while

So 3 slotted it would be 10%ish defence debuff.

Wondering how much difference that would make, I've also noticed that you don't get the debuff icon appearing on an enemy if I hit them with a BS attack so although the text says I hit reduce there defence, I don't know if it actually does!

What enemies have got high defence that I can test this on? Rikti drones spring to mind.

Anyone know what % the -def is on BS attacks?

Am thinking about putting -def enhances in my AoE (DoT as well) attack thinking it'll lower the enemies defence a bit to allow a follow up aoe from a team mate
