Considering I have no plans to transfer Seismecca over to CO, or...play CO at all, Virtueverse and CoHVeterans are going to be my only link to you guys from now on.
So, you know, looking forward to whatever you guys have planned. -
I had finally stopped crying.
Logged on to say goodbye to more people.
Saw that Virtue, the most populated server in CoX had all but died. With only a few spots of activity left in Pocket D.
Started crying again. -
Quote:Does it have it where the chat channel isnt hidden behind two menu options and doesn't show text in bubbles over characters head? That being said. I'm leading an exodus to DCUO. The game has greatly improved over the last year with several new expansions and new content including an auction house, global chat channels and the like. Feel free to join me. We can keep the spirit of CoH alive, and hopefully make DCUO better in the process. To quote a DC Comics character: "Death is never the end, and lightning ALWAYS strikes twice"

Quote:Are you remaking Shogun, or referring to another SG?I'm heading to CO. It's where my friends are going, and they're taking the entire SG with them. Aside from them I've got numerous other friends in it as well. Funny thing too, I tried it out last night, not nearly as bad as I thought it would be.
Even if the character creator places it's options in odd places.
I haven't been in-game much so stuff might have been discussed without me, but if the United Underworld has decided to move to CO I guess I could give it another try.
I just hear their chat function sucks since CO is on a merged server or something?
If not, can anyone more familiar with CO explain how their chat function works
since you know, its pretty important for RP -
Bleh, I REALLY don't want to go to Champions Online
but, ****, I need something to ween me off this before I move on.
And they have earth powers. So at least I can hold onto Seismecca a little bit longer.
Edit: The name Seismecca is taken
oh well >:I -
Virtue isn't down, it's just under a heavy load of players logging in to pay their respects.
-
Great, that just made me sad again because I'll never be able to do that stuff again.

Quote:Ugh, same.I'm losing my only real anchor MMO, the one I always said "Well, at least I can go back to that!" for. !@#$.
Honestly, what other MMO can I completely customize my character, create 20 different channels to talk on, teleport between zones in a matter of minutes, MAKE MY OWN MISSIONS (seriously, how am I supposed to RP specific selfwritten stories, if I cant create a mission with specific enemies and text? ) and a ton of other stuff that no other MMO has? -
Whether it was Lucifica, or Domi, or whoever you were playing, you were always a blast to play with. I wish you hadn't have left UU, just so we could have squeezed out that much more RP (but how could you have seen this coming?) but, I understand what you needed to do.
Good luck on whatever path you take. -
Thanks guys, it means a lot.
I still remember that day on top of the building and I still remember every night in the base.
Fiera was like a mother to Shri, and her always friendly demeanor taught me that it's never wrong to jump in and have fun, even if you aren't sure of yourself.
Srsly, I would not be the CoH player I am (was) today without you two.
No I need to seriously stop before I make myself cry.
-
Its just the first day,
but I don't feel like playing. -
Quote:I played a free-trial of Eve once. Pretty fun. Kinda spreadsheety, but once you get in the mindset/character I really enjoyed it.This.
I re-up my 3 EVE subs for three months so if I decide to go back when this closes I'll have that much more of a jump on training. Played it a for a few hours, said hi to friends there, but it is just not COH.
Bummer.
Playin a simple Space Miner, blastin off, mining rocks, coming back, selling them, rinse and repeat while I internet surfed during travel times.
Strangely relaxing. I don't know if I'd pay 15 a month for it though, but it was worth my time when I was playing it.
Might go back to it though. Best Scifi MMO out there currently.
But I think I'll wait for a Mass Effect MMO.
*sits on hands*
Its going to be awhile. -
Neither CO or DCUO are any good, so moving to another Superhero MMO is out of the question.
Honeslty, I don't know. -
As an "on again off again" player since 2009, I've took many a breaks, and made many a friend. I feel like its obvious to mention that I'll always remember my time with my villain group The United Underworld. They were (and still are) great friends that really made the game pop for me, and kept me from leaving.
Also cause we're like, DA BEST redside villain group ever.
Like...ever.
But there's a group that's even more important to me.
Tangent.
Ran by the incredible Hero Prime and his wife. (which, for the drunken life of me I can't remember what her toons name was)
Tangent was my first RPSG, my first REAL Rp character, Shri'taki, and they taught me everything I know about RPing in this game, and in groups. I owe them everything, and everything I've become.
Without Tangent, there wouldn't be a Seismecca. AND WOULDNT THAT BE HORRIBAD
I'm ashamed that I left them without a word. It was incredibly rude and selfish of me. So, I'm sorry.
For everything. You guys deserved better. And I hope whatever CoHless future you have ahead of you is filled with sunshine.
yours truley

This is one event that could never be accused of being
for the greater good.
I'll miss ya Nal. -
Quote:I knew it would happen at some point, but damn it, we were supposed to be ******* warnedWell it was inevitable that this would happen at some point, I had sort of been playing more part time but can't say I won't miss it, almost 8 years is quite some time to play the same game.....
the game was supposed to close after it hasn't been updated in 3 years, or the devs no longer posted, or after they closed have to severs
not just ******* out of the blue -
This seriously has to be some cruel joke.
It has to be. -
Quote:True, but the other half of Staff is spinning. Lots of lots of spinning.Yeah, a Scythe for Staff Fighting would look... really weird. Titan Weapons maybe, but smacking people with the side of the blade or tripping people with a giant blade would look very silly, IMO.
And spinning a scythe is pretty cool. -
This. The problem with most new faces (and some costume parts) is that the devs recently discovered bump mapping and think it's the bomb. Even when it doesn't fit in with every other costume piece ever. Making every new costume/face piece look like plastic.
-
Really? Sweet. I loved the first one, and if they can make another one, with the same tone and action as the Captain America movie, I'd love to watch it.
-
Welcome back!
I can't say for certain about any groups like you're describing. But the game has recently gotten a couple new channels that could help you out.
Both the "Help" and the "Looking For Group" would be good places to start looking.
I hope you find what you're looking for. -

You forgot any mention of "For the greater good" when it comes to co-op
