  1. If only her join date and post count could read Arcanaville as well.
  2. The internet; where the men are men, the women are also men, and the children are FBI agents.

And when I think of Dink I always think of pro-wrestler Doink the Clown's midget clown sidekick.

Well, if you're a male swan you get to fan your wings out, hiss, and chase a 2 year old VK across the park into his grandmother's arms.
  4. Yup, I ran into this one earlier today, actually. It got stuck on a shade of lilac when I was trying to go for a red-black-grey color scheme. I just gave up and picked a different hairstyle.

As I mentioned before, note the "ATs," plural, as the past two sets of EAT's have been in pairs.
  6. I could've sworn that the recharge mentioned on that was 480 or 600 seconds.

Gentlementlemen, note that we see here a mention of AT's in the plural. Working on a SINGLE AT, or having completed work on an AT/AT's are both possible, and likely probable, interpretations of this text.

  8. Wanting to see how the damage compares between ticks of Reactive and ticks of Cognitive, I spent a few minutes standing next to mobs in Dark Astoria with my damage aura active, first seeing how much Reactive did, then waiting a bit until I could swap it out for the second tier Cognitive.

My Reactive was tier 4, so 75% chance for damage compared to the 25%, but I went through three, maybe four dozen enemies, killed slowly by the damage from my aura and whatever came out of the Interface. I saw Cognitive trigger twice, and only then with one tick of damage.

Is there some sort of interface-swapping thing in effect that does not make the proc fire after swapping it out, am I the victim of really horrendous luck, or is there a bug with one of the Cognitive procs (like having the damage proc using the rate of the confuse chance)?
  9. Yup, no VK write up this week. Ran out of pain meds and am waiting for the pharmacy to call my doctor.
  10. Positron is here and I missed a little bit of the start.

TANGENT: Department stores and them potentially closing down.

Zwill gets a message from one of the ArenaNet people.

    "You killed Statesman! You *******!"

Posi: "Yes I did! Me and Dr. Aeon."

Z: "Helping him aid in his quest to kill every NPC."

P: "Maybe I'll make him kill Dr. Aeon. Before he kills Positron. Just because it's my goal to make Samuraiko's like miserable."

    TANGENT: Oxford Comma

Positron wrote the eulogy, as spoken by in-game Positron, written by the out of game Positron.

    12:39 VoodooGirl_COV: Numina doesn't do ghost writing?

    Z: "Aargh!"

Z: "I'm roleplaying my character being inhabited by his creator. I'm roleplaying a character roleplaying a character.

    TANGENT: Tabletop roleplaying games

Posi talks about Black Scorpion's campaign, where it's like all stories actually exist. Dr. Aeon invoked Zack Morris to stop time.

*Makes T with hands* Time out!

Z: "I'm surpised Dr. Aeon know who Zack Morris is."

Posi: "Don't let the lack of hair up here," (gestures) "fool you. He's 25."

Posi talks about the death of Statesman essentially 'leveling up' the game.'

He says that there are a lot of new stories that can be made with Statesman's death.

Who will lead the Freedom Phalanx? Where does Statesman's power go? Etc.

psychoti: They shouldn't rename it Statesman park. They should just add the Statesman Rollercoaster, complete with the Rikti War loopty-loop and the Murdered Daughter Downward Spiral.

Z: "It lets us push the player back to the forefront."

Discussion of killing Statesman with the formation of Paragon Studios.

P: "We wanted to make the game better before we did it. Because if we did the story then, there wouldn't have been much else."

ZombieManCoH: The STF will be given out by Statesman in frozen carbonite.

TANGENT: Speculation on George Lucas having that copyrighted. Positron had a Star Wars Galaxy character who was a Wookie Architecht.

Z: "I knew a guy who was a teacher who ran home at his lunch break to play."

P: "He was probably checking to see if his harvesters despawned."

The teacher's work suffered due to his playing of SWG, which inspired two of his friends to make a documentary on MMO gamers, which lead to Zwill being involved with it, which lead him to get his job at Paragon.

    Posi misses SWG.

    TANGENT: Sandbox gaming

    TANGENT: Lego Universe

Chat speculates that I will have a tough time getting this on the forums due to the chatter about SWG.

Zwill states that it will be okay.

    TANGENT: Shadowbane

Posi talks about a programmer of PS making a box and using it on other players to make them unable to move, then saying they sucked at Box Wars.

Posi and Zwill talk MMO design, one of the customer services people who dis CS for Ultima Online.

Posi: "I quit Ultima Online when I realized it was third person Quake."

Chat is discussion Boot to the Head vs. Arrow in the Knee

Samuraiko wrote a CoH version of Last Will and Temperment: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=282126

Posi talks about CoH's driving force, as it is storyline based. Posi doesn't think you can tell stories as easily in a sandbox style MMO.

He then gets in to the storyline bibles.

Posi: "The other day I was reading some stuff about Rikti, and I was wondering "Does this even still apply anymore?""

Posi says they have some better writing now in game than some of the stuff in the bibles.

Talk about the Rikti stemming from a bet. Jack/Statesman bet someone at the studio that they couldn't get Rikki Tikki Tavi into the game.

Chat asks if Statesman was inspired by Astro City."

Positron mentions that Astro City drove Jack crazy, Samaritans were not nice people, thus Good Samaritan. Jack complained about the Superman analog in Astro City being named Samaritan.

I missed a question typing that up.

Every time they try to merge Ouroburos they run into something that breaks, as it was essentially "Dev hackery" and decide not to do it.

They will be some sort of memorial or gravestone for Statesman at some point.

Posi says they're inspired by some of the things that they ended up not using and even the smallest throw away line can inspire something to be made. Posi fears releasing unused parts of stories, since anything they release becomes cannon. And people would go "OMG THIS DOESN'T MAKE SENSE IN YOUR STORY! CANON IS RUINED FOREVERS!"

Someone's phone goes off with a submarine klaxon that can be heard in the cubicle.

Z: "Eric Johnson, your phone is ringing!"

We will see what Lord Recluse does after learning of Statesman's death. It'll be shown before the SSA is over.

I miss a question getting my shoes back from my puppy.

Posi doesn't want to add the Echoes of DA and Galaxy to villain Ouro. He suggests that badging Rogues change alignment one more to Hero to get the badges.

Talk of the alignment change tokens that will be added to the Paragon market.

There might be a one month gap between the end of Who Will Die and the next SSA.

Posi doesn't know which AV's are 5th Column and which are Council.

Samuraiko: Q: is there a way for players to get hold of whatever you guys use to make cutscenes? (since it's not demorecording)

Posi: "Yes! It's called Microsoft Excel!"

Dr. Aeon is the best at that and has been teaching others to use it.

Z: "You would be surprised about how many MMO's use something in Excel."

Posi advises that anyone who wants to get in the MMO industry to get familiar with Excel.

P: "The thing about Excel is you never run out of things to learn. There's always new functionality you can learn."

Talk of TPN crashing and putting a player into a level 25 group's mission. That is apparently a hard to reproduce bug. Posi says that TPN is the most complicated trial code-wise with the Popularity level.

They talk about known IP's versus created IP's.

Z: "It's easier and more fun to work on an IP that's yours."

There are no plans to add voice over IP functionality to CoH. It takes up a lot of bandwidth and usually it ends up inferior to existing free VOIP programs. It's a lot of resources.

P: "And you really don't want to hear the voice behind that female character."

  13. Zwill has apparently defeated a raccoon in battle and is wearing its head as a hat.

His friend Adam is watching the Ustream for the first time.

TANGENT: Dress codes, or lack thereof.

TANGENT: Scotsman in the Paragon office.

TANGENT: Scottish, kilts, accents, and Z's bad Braveheart quote and accent.

    TANGENT: Giant flaming cabors.

    TANGENT: Sports in Scotland.

Chat: One of the contests for them is repelling the English.

    Announcement of a new pummit!

Rather than have panels in multiple rooms and only streaming some, they will be streaming everything and having the day being a bit longer.

There will be another fan participation design a costume session.

It's likely that it will be at the exact same venue.

Z: "I'm not going to call it a Pummit. Dammit, I just did!"

Psychoti: "Plummit. Call it a plummit."

    Guessing the date:

    12:44 Rajani_Isa: 4/1/12
    12:44 Samuraiko: yes it is!
    12:44 SnowGlobeCoH: April 1
    12:44 ArbiterFabulous: March 24th?
    12:44 Mentalshock: March 27-28th
    12:44 Kemli: April 5
    12:44 psychoti: 4/20/12.

    Z: "April 1, yeah."
Z: "4/20? No, there are other things happening in San Francisco on that day."

Pummit is scheduled for 4/28, the anniversary day!

Z shows the graphic again and apparently it slows down his PC because it's too big.

VK: It's not the size of the image, but what you do with the pixels.

    Z: "That's what she said!"

PSA: ParagonWiki is offline today in support of the SOPA/PIPA protest.

TANGENT: Z likes saying SOPA PIPA.

Second Measure arrives and is jealous of Zwill's hat. His wife won't let him wear one in public.

    Zwill does a squirrel impression.

TANGENT: Wizards of the Coast announcing DnD Next/5e and discussion of DnD

2M relates how he got into DnD and has never been to Gencon.

I'm actually a second generation DnD player.

    More discussion of Zwill's hat.

psychoti: I still think you look like a freaky totem pole.

2M has a meeting in five minutes, so they get to the business of discussing Issue 22.

Nate: "We have two zones people never really go to. We were looking at using both of them, but Dark Astoria had more potential. It's kind of where gods go to die."

Z: "What were some of the challenges in changing DA?"

Nate: "When it start I talk to Positron and was like, "Why is there one corner of Peregrine Island or Grandville that I can do with my 50?" Even if we weren't doing the Incarnate System we'd want to give your 50 some things to do."

Z: "Well, the Shadow Shard is for level 50's. But it's not part of a city. We learned some lessons from that."

Nate: "I was a player for a long time before I joined the studio and got lost with a level 50 in the Shard."

Second Measure leaves and Dr. Aeon arrives.

Aeon: "So I'm replacing Second Measure. Am I third measure? Fourth measure?

Z: "You're... wait, I almost made a Mitt Romney joke."

They've been watching the beta and making changes to fine tune the content. There are a lot of Quality of Life changes going in.

Talking about the Team Up Teleporter changes. It can now be used in instanced missions.

They're added task forces to the TUT.

TANGENT: Missed this one while typing.

Aeon: "I can be the one who stops the tangents!"

He all of a sudden busts out a frighteningly accurate raspy Bale Batman voice.

    TANGENT: Aeon's Batman voice.

Aeon: "I'm not the hero Ustream needs, I'm the one it deserves!"

    Nate returns.

TANGENT: Second Measure does something to Zwill's chair.

The new Bloody Bay trial "Drowning in Blood."

Jokingly mentioning that they're going to make all trials have a D - (letter) - B abbreviation.

    TANGENT: Men in Black 3.

Z: "Are we trying to make there be a trial for every level range to ease people into doing trials?"

    2: "No promises."

Talk of the Dilemma Diabolique trial's difficulty. Aeon can't answer as it was Baryonyx that made DD.

TANGENT: Aeon does his Baryonyx impression.

Z: "He's going to come over here and punch you."

TANGENT: Staff members from New York.

    Staff Melee on Beta soon.

Talk of Beast Mastery on beta.

Super teleporters for bases! They can take 6 beacons instead of the normal 2. Thank goodness.

Z: "So you worked on something yesterday."

Aeon: "Yes, I'm one step closer to killing off every major NPC in the game."

Z: "Will you be writing in new characters just to kill them off?

    Aeon: "Of course!"

Talk of the cutscene with Aeon working with El Topo, Tunnel Rat, and Honey Badger.

"He's watching. He's going to come over and hit you."

Z: "I think Leo has accepted his role as the Honey Badger. Much like his namesake Honey Badger just don't give a damn."

    Z: "OMG! Rain! It's rain!"

Aeon: "Don't get too excited. It's just in one instanced map. We won't be having weather."

psychoti: I like how you actually get back on topic the instant Second Measure gets back, then don't ask him anything.

Some talk about the first viewing of the scene in the studio.

Discussion of other question themed arcs.

"What's for Lunch? Where are my Keys?"

SnowGlobeCoH: Q: Can I have Statesman's stuff seeing that he's leaving for good?

Z: "Everything was bind on equip. He cleaned out the supergroup storage."

    2: "Statesmen is a jerk."

Cathedral of Pain being added to the TUT?

2: "There are some issues with that, namely tying in the supergroup stuff with the TUT."

Adding the TF's aren't so simple as flipping a switch, they have to be individuall added.

No plans to run a Statesman funeral event like the in game wedding. Statesman isn't getting removed in Issue 22.

Z: "We'll have the funeral on the boat in IP... oh wait..."

    Aeon: "Awkward."

2: "We'll have it in the southwest corner of IP. No one will attend."

psychoti: I vote that Doc Aeon answers all these questions in the Dark Knight voice.

Aeon: "You have to ask that in the form of a question."

Aeon did the cutscene at the end of Dilemma Diuabolique.

Z: "You're the Paragon Studios Scorsese, aren't you?"

Aeon: "Well, I don't like to brag."

    2: "You're not that short."

Aeon: "And he has more hair than me."

Z: "So maybe you're the Michael Bay of Paragon Studios."

    Aeon: "No, that's terrible!"

    Z: "Lens flare! Explosion!"

Talk of Dimensional Warder and Mother Mayhem. No one knows if the MoM MM counts for it or not. The zone invasion one did not count.

Piyerus: q: did Darren Wade get State's weakness as well as his powers (ie being controlled by the Well)?

Z: "Is he being controlled by the well?"

    Bat-Aeon: "We'll have to see."

2: "Does he know way too much about Greek mythology?"

Aeon: "He gets all his powers and then he's like..." Aeon grabs his temples and makes pained noises.

Bat-Zwillinger: "Only the future will tell!"

Z's Batman sounds more like a Dr. Claw.

Z: "Ow, that hurt my throat."

Bat-Aeon: "Leave it to the professionals!"

Bat-Aeon: "I'm the one who can do the job you can't!"

Z: "Wow. Samuraiko just called you the Paragon Studios Uwe Boll."

Aeon: "You're dead to me Samuraiko."

More arcs for the 35-45 story content.

2: "Many things are planned for the future."

Z: "We've looked at things for gaps like that, like we're adding the 20-30 Drowning in Blood and post-50 with the solo incarnate in DA."

Chat: "Can Dr. Aeon answer all the questions in the Dark Knight voice? I'd say please, but evil does not respond to please."

    Bat-Aeon: "It's true."

Level for the new Steel Canyon story arcs?

Bat-Aeon: "Uh, those would be, uh 15-20."

Z: "You can stop that now."

Bat-Aeon: "But they asked the question."

Components will not drop from DA.

    Bat-Aeon: "I don't believe so."

    Z: "That's strictly the threads."

    Bat-Aeon: "Only the threads."

Z: "If I'm not mistaken there's something else that drops from mobs in DA."

    Bat-Aeon: "Regular salvage!"

    Z: "Yes, but also..."

    Bat-Aeon: (Interrupting) "Influence!"

Z: "Don't the enhancement catalysts drop from Incarnate level mobs? Very rare."

Aeon: "I'm not sure, that's a Baryonyx question."

    Z: "I thought they did."

Aeon: "Can we cut out this part of the Ustream?"

Z: "Cut the live video? Sure!"

Chat confirms that they do indeed drop.

    Aeon: "Of course they do!"

    Talk of the ATIO's.

Z: "You can also get them from the merit vendors in..."

    Zwill does several incorrect pronunciations.

    Bat-Aeon: "Ouroburos."

Zwill: "Ugh! Now it's just getting creepy!"

    Rajani_Isa: Q: What about giving us a 10-15 SF?

Z: "In general we're making a lot of both faction content, co-op where we can."

Aeon: "But we know players like their hero and villain stuff. Drowning in Blood has both a Hero and a Villain version."

Z: "Going forward we can expect a mix of the two."

They're investigating the possiblity of a global free, premium, and VIP pkayers.

Rajani_Isa: Q: What about giving us a 10-15 SF and revamp Synapse at the same time?

    Aeon: "I can't do both."

2: "OF course you can! You have two hands! One computer on the left and one on the right."

Statesman will be physically removed from places entirely, not used with phasing or anything.

Aeon: "Once I23 comes out he's gone."

Bat-Aeon: "But only in physical form. He will always live on in our memories. And in our actions. It's not what you do that defines you. No, wait, that's wrong. It's what you do that defines you."

    Awkward silence.

Aeon: "There's more questions right there."

Zwill just stares at Aeon for a good ten seconds before finally sighing.

Super Packs as part of Issue 22?

Z: "We're not ready to give out a release date."

Aeon: "That's not something I'm involved in."

Z: "We're generally pleased with the feedback we've gotten."

They are not going to launch with an alternate means of getting the Super Pack costume pieces. Tier 9 VIP's can use their Paragon Rewards tokens to get the packs.

Z: "We're comfortable with where the Super Pakcs are with the concessions and the adjustments we've made. We've settled on some bulk rate discount prices."

    Title for Issue 23?

Z: "We don't have a working title yet. We call it 2300, internally."

Bat-Aeon: "Because it's the one that comes after 2200."

    Z: "You can stop that."

Aeon: "No I can't. It just keeps coming. I didn't even mean to say it like that.

(Chat) billymailman: He doesn't do the voice, the voice simply uses him as a conduit.

Z: "Thank you for joining us on this week's coffee chalk..."

Zwill stumbles over saying coffee talk several times.

Bat-Aeon: "Coffee talk, with Andy and Sean McCann."

Zwill has his train of thought derailed as he was in mid gesture.

Z: "I don't even know what I was doing there."

Aeon holds up a hand, without the V in the fingers

    Bat-Aeon: "Live long and prosper.

    Z: "Wow."

    Bat-Aeon: "Fight crime!"

    Z: "Wow."

    We start fading out.

    Bat-Aeon: "It never sleeps!

  15. Zwill hit the wrong button and killed the stream.

Bananas_COH: Someone just earned the 'Poor Impulse Control' badge? ;-)

Chat is making arrow to the knee jokes.

Z fumbles around with the complex procedure to be able to show us a photo of Texas Justice and the hat of Zwill's he won in the Real World Hero auction.

    psychoti: This week on Mythbusters!

Zwill had to get a new one to replace it. His new one is made of bamboo.

Talk about all the CoH social media places, Twitter, Facebook, Google +, etc.

ZombieManCoh: Do you have a dial up bulletin board?
ZombieManCoh: Is there an 800 chat line?

    Talk of G+ Hangouts.

Z: "I am fully prepared to see Chat Roulette type stuff. We haven't seen any yet, though."

ZombieManCoh: Wanna see my squirrel?? (Ustream Squirrel emoticon)

Z is horrified at the thought of ZombieMan showing up wearing nothing but a squirrel.

Noble Savage has returned from his distant homeland of Hawaii. Having eaten too much spam.

    TANGENT: Hawaii foodstuffs.

Topic for today: two costume packs. Pocket D Pack and a nw set.

psychoti: We need to get Zwill an orange military-themed jacket. "Tangent-arine"

Kheldarn: NO! CoH is supposed to be a PANTSLESS GAME! T_T

Z: "That's between you and your chair."

Kheldarn: Pfft. Ask Hickman about his pants!

Z: "The tighty whity pack! No pre-tinting please!"

Bananas_COH: Jeans are perfectly acceptale to wear for a superhero as long as you wear your underwear over them!

    Z: "You can Bead-azzle them!"

    NS: "Those are rivets!"

NS: "We didn't need concept art on this we have a guy wearing one of these to work every day."

NS: "He can make himself in game!"

Z: "We have his hairstyle too."

All of the pieces are for male, female and huge.

NS: "It uses our new cubemap technology to be shiny and reflective."

Man_From_AUNTIE: need to put Mother Mayhem in that
ZombieManCoh: I can see Praetoria in her bust!
SkyStreak: Reflective? Does it provide a + to defense vs. energy attacks?

NS doesn't think there is a non-reflective version.

Z: "I want to go and make a Street Justice character. Persian guy in those jeans. When I was bartending those guys were everywhere, in their white BMWs."

Z accidently clicks the wrong button, again, and begins launching a game.

    Inspiration on the items.

    NS: "It's jeans."

Z: "Go to the Levi's catalog."

NS: "I wanted to see what it would be like if we applied normal mapping to clothing."

Z: "All the folds and wrinkles are a part of the texture."

Mephistroth: Will we ever get to customize our wrinkles?
ZombieManCoh: No, the dress can't take a pattern, nor the shirt.

NS: "Inspiration for the hair, we don't have a shot right now, people have asked about cooler, longer, more modern hair for guys. It has a tintable section in the front where there are two locks that are dyed."

Z: "Kind of J-pop-y. Not full on anime. BUT NOT EMO!"

NS: "There's one pair of shoes in this set, female only. It's kind of like a strap boot made up out of ties."

Z: "Strappy heel, kind of a modern Hellenic sandal type of thing."

Z: "Not sure if every single bit of the costume is being ported over, but there is most of it"

NS: "Male armor is going to female and huge."

The kind of transparent bit on the female leg is pretinted a little bit.

There are two versions of the female hat, one where you can color the red and the gold, while the hair stays black, and one where the gold stays, but the red and the hair are tintable.

Man_From_AUNTIE: now we just need air and water powers and we can have DR do a Big Trouble in Little China video

Z: "It's Broadsword and Katana, I don't think we have one for Titan Weapons."

    Tyger_UK: Skaven sword!

Z: "NO! NO! ABSOLUTELY NOT! I'VE SEEN SO MANY SKAVEN SWORDS! IT'S NOT FUNNY! THAT IS NOT A SKAVEN SWORD!"

SkyStreak: Looks liek a peacock to me
    Bananas_COH: Looks like a demon-possessed scimitar
    coh_beastyle: It's probably a peacock.
    Cymmetri: Demon swan?
    Cymmetri: OH Demon PEACOCK

Kheldarn: Claws, Bows, Shields, Maces, Axes, Guns - No love, again

Z goes over t he things that have come out recently and are coming up. Pretty much everything except Claws and Shields has gotten something recently, or will be getting something soon.

Z: "This will be for the Brony pack, if Beastyle gets his way."

NS: "You know how Jay has that one thing he will absolutely never do? This is mine."

Z: "Positron has clowns, you have this."

multifoiled: Q: Does the "pocket D" pack come with ruffies?

    Z: "It's roofies! R O O F I E S!"

NS: "I think he meant ruffles. Odd where your mind went."

psychoti: Q: Any torn/ripped jeans with those new jeans models?
    SkyStreak: Q: Battle Damage pack??

Z: "Maybe you could make some of the more popular ones. Like with dents and stuff."

NS: "Kind of hard to get that for everybody."

Z: "I'm one of those lame people that as a kid read everything, including the dictionary."

TANGENT: Zwill was on one of the later episodes of Win Ben Stein's Money.

Z: "For the interesting thing about you, I mentioned that I played Diablo 2 for 72 hours straight. Ben said you should talk to my son, as he was played Everquest so much that he was sent to boarding school to get him away from the game."

The jeans are tintable, not just blue.

Some talk of having a quiver to go with the new bow.

    Sleeveless version of puffy jacket?

    NS: "Not in this set."

Z: "There would be nothing but Marty McFly clones."

Rularuu set like the Roman set?

    Z: "We've talked about it."

    Pretinting on the Imperial armor?

Z: "It's not intrusive, but there are some places where artistically we need to have pre-tinting. Like with this, it's meant to be a mesh panel."

NS: "For some pieces it makes sense, but this little space is meant to be mesh. But we're not going to make a habit of it. Even on the concept art we're keeping that in mind."

Retro sci-fi pack is a go. It's been officially greenlighted and it is actively being worked on.

They're talking about doing the player costume design thing at the next player summit.

    Double XP weekend?

Z: "Well... not quite a weekend. But soon we'll see."

    Legacy chain pack?

Z: "We know it's a desire, and there are some technical issues about getting those items on PC's."

NS: "We've seen a pattern that people are interested in the NPC-style conversions.

THERE IS A SLEEVELESS PUFFY COAT! But it is not on Beta.

Why can't the new dress and shirt take textures?

NS doesn't know, that's beyond him as he's a concept artist.

    Chest details on backs?

Neither knows the technical reasons. But Z is pretty sure that they're running out of 'nodes' to attach it to.

Ultra mode glow for chest emblems?

NS: "I don't see why not. We have 3D chest details."

NS: "It's all in the texture. I don't see a reason why we couldn't do that."

Zwill sings: "You got the Glow" from the Last Dragon.

    Rambo costume set?

"Like what? A mullet with a bandana?"

    "Tank top with dirty arms?"

    "Really big machine guns."

NS: "And a face that looks like this."

NS does a weird sneer-scowl type of thing. Zwill can't get his face to do that.

Imperial Dynasty sword with a dragon rather than a bird?

NS: "I know some other ones were concepted, but I don't remember if any others made it in."

    Z: "I don't think they did."

    War Witch?

Z: "She's been really busy managing two teams. Maybe closer to I22."

    Z: "Also beta for I22 arrives Imminently, T M."

    coh_beastyle: Imminently™.

Z guesses it will be about summer time for the sci-fi pack.

    NS has to head out.

Z: "And suddenly the viewer count plummets!"

Rather than the usual logo we are sent out with the big version of the images

  16. Thanks for doing a recap, even a minor one, while I'm afflicted with Vahzilok Wasting Disease.

Got a cold at Thanksgiving, got a nasty cold at Xmas that I'm still battling, and adopted a puppy in early November.

So I'm not sleeping as often as I ought to be and have managed to shed 11% of my bodyweight since August.

Of course there's still plenty of me left. I'm down to 299 pounds from a high of 330ish.

  17. EMPEROR COLE IS WATCHING YOU POOP.

GOOD DAY CITIZEN, PLEASE WASH YOUR HANDS.

I've mentioned this to the devs several time. We have more snipe sets than we do TAoE sets. And as far as I know, you can only have two snipes, maximum. Whereas you can have more than enough TAoE attacks to make slotting the set with the useful properties go well over the 5 stack of identical bonuses.

Snipes have FIVE entire sets devoted to them. They ALL go to level 50. None of them are Purple or PVP.

TAoE's have THREE non-PvP non-Purple sets. They all go to fifty, but two of them don't have any bonuses really worth slotting for.
  19. That is a rather neat looking icon.
  20. Just a note, switching back and forth between the last three screens looks amusing.

The last two look kind of like the SNL Roxbury head dance thing with Zwill and Baryonyx.

    ALSO:

    AND:

  21. Zwill is wearing a bear hat. It takes me about 10 minutes to get the darned old screencap software working.

    TANGENT: Hats

Texas Justice won the Real World Hero auction for Zwill's hat. Z feels bad about selling someone a worn, 3 year old hat.

Z greets me seeing that I'm back after missing last week.

Baryonyx arrives to talk about the recently released trials.

short2care: people sure do like doing MoM O.O

Some groans and Z runs the joke into the ground.

CoHChaosCreator: I'd love to join you on your MoM!
ZedOmega: They're going to milk MoM for all it's worth.
desi_nova: I did your MOM last night Trebek!

    Zwill does his Connery impersonation.

    TANGENT: SNL Celebrity Jeopardy

    TANGENT: Adobe ceasing Flash development.

Chat starts singing the Flash Gordon theme by Queen.

B: "You think MoM is bad, Dilemma Diabolique. DD. The Double D trial. We're not doing this on purpose."

psychoti: MoM has Double Ds already, right?
    Raithnor: MoM's more like EEs
    desi_nova: I think they're larger than DD's
psychoti: Just be glad that the second word doesn't begin with "d-o", or you know how people would refer to the "DILemma DIabolique"...

Z: "People are talking about rocks. Evidently rocks are hurting more than they used to now. Give advice that people are being emperiled by rocks."

B: "Well, some people are just leaving the outside alone. If you can do that, good for you. But that does cause problems leaving the telepathcists up."

Z: "You don't need many people out there. It can be done with two or three."

The only thing the Tele's do is turn the citizenry against you and the pacification debuff. Citizens can't even be damaged by AoE's until they're converted. Conversion is delayed by about 15-20 seconds.

Z: "Not a good idea to have pets, though."

B: "The citizens are tough, not tough enough to take a big beating, but more than you'd expect from a citizen."

    Talk about griefing.

Z: "It's not the rocks that are damaging you more, it's the debuff making the rocks damage you."

kwsapphire: Q: what triggers getting TPed out of the TPN buildings? Someone told me its after all 4 terminals are clicked, but it seems we've been kicked before that.
    TheNetPQA: three terminals.

    Talk about the trial rewards.

Z: "There are going to be some interesting things you can buy with incarnate threads soon, like Enhancement Converters."

Some discussion on if that bit of info had been released yet or not. Apparently it'd been revealed in discussion about the Super Packs.

And now we talk about MoM.

Z: "The pace is a little different, you can take as much time as you like between major encounters so long as no one talks to Desdemona."

Black Pebble wants to show off a shot of Issue 22.

B: "It's literally just 5 straight AV fights and it's the most story-intensive trial."

coh_beastyle: And there are awesome periods of downtime with NPCs coming in that you can talk to

TANGENT: Telepathist/Telepathacist pronunciation. It's apparently Telepathist.

    Z: "Back onto MoM, giggity!"

    Dr. Aeon walks by.

Z: "What's your experience been with MoM?"

Aeon: "That sounds kind of creepy."

They've gotten Christmas cards, one from Samuraiko and one from Carbine Studios and one from ArenaNet.

Aeon refuses to do his troll-face face.

TANGENT: Zwill's bear hat and using it to peek into windows.

B: (quietly) "Pedobear must be stopped!"

Tunnel Rat is in chat talking from her apartment.

No one can find Black Pebble's screens.

TANGENT: Discussion of favorite vocal communication software. Skype/Vent/TeamSpeak/Mumble, etc.

Aeon is making faces in the background.

Z: "What's wrong with your eyes?"

A: "I'm doing something to amuse the people."

Z: "Did you just come over here to photobomb?"

    A: "Yes."

multifoiled: I got screenshots of your Mom.

Z: "You're all hanging around hoping for Issue 22 screenshots, not to watch me fumble around. So here, have a screenshot!"

Z: "Apparently I accidently the sound."

B: "Can we say what this is?"

Z: "It's in Dark Astoria, and this is new."

A: "That looks like the concept art I sent in."

Z: "What was it? Like a face with pointy teeth?"

B: "Get the whiteboard over here, he can draw it for you in five seconds."

B: "That actually looks like a more refined drawing than your original concept art."

B: "Let's talk more about MoM."

Z: "Or Malaise. Or Mother Malaise."

Z: "Oooh, this looks awesome! I have to do this more often!"

Z: "It's a good thing Sean is a writer and not an art designer."

B: "If you look in the background you can see the previous image."

Z: "The War Wall looks outstanding."

Z: "This is kind of a cool little tool here."

Aeon continues to add to his drawing.

Z: "This image is from Dilemma Diabolique trial."

    B: "The Double D trial..."

Z: "You call it the DD trial. You call it the Double D trial and your mind starts going in the gutter."

A: "You do the Double D, then you do MoM."

Z: "I better put it on the screen so Von Krieger can get it."

TANGENT: The robot from Buck Rogers.

coh_beastyle: Dr. Aeon's scribbles are turning into Picasso back there

Z: "What the hell is that thing?"

    A: "It's a work in progress!"

B: "Now you can give it a body!"

    Z: "It's a new AV: Derpy!"

Z: "Do you want to talk about Malaise?"

A: "The one I killed or the one you killed?"

Malaise: he's a tank and spank encounter until 50% HP, then he pulls memories out of your mind of GM's. It's a rnadom choice of 3 out of 16 nightmares.

Z: "Don't fly during that stage."

B: "That puts 5 pink fields on random players. IF you happen to be in the air when you get hit with World of Anguish. It grows over time, so it will grow in three dimensions."

Solasau: This whole trial sounds like a homage to Freddy Krueger.

B: "Incandescence can be used to good effect..."

Z: "I refuse to believe that!"

Talk about the Penelope Mayhem segment.

Z: "Here's a hint: Just don't run in an kill the storm voids. You want to pull them to her or pull her to them. I've seen multiple trials fail because people are just AoEing the Voids willy-nilly."

B: "She's untouchable, but she will give chase."

psychoti: You can drag her all over the place. MoM is in drag.

1:31 Black_Pebble: Skipping for me, but I'm 10k feet in the air atm.
1:31 Tunnel_Rat-1: Seems like that human cannon is finally working, BP!
1:31 coh_beastyle: Wow, that's pretty cool, Black Pebble.
    1:32 Black_Pebble: I wish Tunnel Rat had a heart. :-(
1:32 coh_beastyle: Watching it during flight.
1:32 Solasau: She does, it's buried in a tunnel.
1:32 Black_Pebble: A heart she didn't rip out of a puppy, that is.
1:33 Tunnel_Rat-1: Hey, you're locked up in the SPCA, you're fair game.

TANGENT: Black Pebble watching the Ustream on an airplane.

B: "So he can't stop us!"

    coh_beastyle: Don't be so sure
    coh_beastyle: he'll hijack the plane
coh_beastyle: turn it right back around

Black_Pebble: I have nothing but love in my heart for all. And every day, I hope that one day Tunnel Rat will see that it's okay to be kind and frabjulous.

    Talk of portals and Dopplegangers.

    A: "Defeat ALL the Tilmans!"

Z: "Quick! Someone get to editing images! Black Scorpion could do it. When he gets back the entire game will be ponies."

Z: "Black Scorpion is a bit of a Brony, he might like that."

A: "I want to see a Black Scorpion pony."

Talk of how the last room looks awesome.

B: "It's meant to give that sensation of "No one can come here to help you."

Z: "I was getting my butt kicked in that."

    Talk of Mother Malaise.

B: "If you avoid bringing the Nightmares to her I supposed you could DPS Mother's Mind. But bringing the Nightmares over will nullify her resistance to everything but Phasing. You can use Knockback."

TheNetPQA: Watch out for Knockbacks on the Nightmares too

You have the sever he connection to the Well of the Furies, which is connecting Mayhem to the Seer Network.

TheNetPQA: Also on Storm Voids. Dont KB the things that need to be placed

SnowGlobeCoH: Q: Why the timer penalty on the rezzes in the MoM trial? Isn't the lack of DPS enough of a penalty?

B: "The timer penalty is meant for players to bring their own rezzes, inspirations, the Rez other powers that sort of thing."

Aeon is being creepy in the background, and I miss it because I'm watching myself type.

SnowGlobeCoH: Q: Why does it interfere with Player Rez ability? With that dialog, I always get a "target busy".

B: "You can cancel the Desdemona rez ability."

Aeon is stalkerishly peering over Z's shoulder.

    TANGENT: Cartoons.

    TANGENT: TV

    TANGENT: Netflix

Steelhelm812-1: Q: in the praetorina invasion in May, where the prae AVs being played as devs?

Some of them were, not all of them.

A: "I was Marauder. I was insulting people and people were getting all up in my grill about Cleopatra."

Canis_L: The one advantage of having Diabolique next is that I can't see many ways to make her any more annoying to fight than she already is with Siphon Speed and phase shift.....

A: "Oooh, we'll see about that my friend!"

B: "We can't talk about it. The one thing I can say is that each Praetorian has been different and given additional abilities."

psychoti: Q: Someone brought this up in another UStream, any particular reason that the DA zone is released at the same time as powersets that are weak against the mobs of that zone? (Negative Energy)

Z: "That is a cruel and sadistic coincidence."

B: "There's not just the old villain groups showing up in DA."

    Z: "Oh hello TheNet."

Net: "I'm just over here to harass you guys."

    Z: "That's what he's doing."

B and A are alternating leaning left and right, Zwill tells them to stop it.

B: "We'll stop if you answer a question."

Talk of what Z got his kids for Xmas.

Z: "Cars 2, aka Pixar's jumping the shark, a lot of Legos, a lot of clothes."

    psychoti: "Up" was terrible too.

Outrage from all three on that.

Z: "HOW DO YOU MESS UP A MOVIE WITH MICHAEL CAINE?"

Canis_L: Michale Caine has been in a LOT of turkeys over the years...

Z: "Yes, but... URGH I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT CARS 2 ANY MORE!"

    The trollface face!

Z: "Time to troll Sean again! How's your new girlfriend?!"

Z got his wife a new crockpot.

    Talk of XMas gifts.

Z got a 27 inch LED monitor rather than a new GFX card for his home PC since there have been mentions of a new technology and thus the prices on the current good cards dropping.

B: "I just want 4 hours of uninterrupted time with Skyrim."

    Arrow to the Knee meme.

    Aeon prefers Dark Souls.

B: "This is like the mega-tangent."

    TANGENT: Grocery shopping

coh_beastyle: I used to do TFs in Cimerora, then I took Time's Arrow to the knee.

    TANGENT: Steam sales

Z talks about him be alt-schizophrenic last night, playing 5 characters.

B was playing an Ice/Fire Dominator.

Z: "I just don't play dominators. I like Controllers, Scrappers, and Brutes. MY highest level Dom is 18."

    A: "I have a Grav/Psionic Dominator."

B: "Are you excited for the Grav changes?"

Z: "I was seeing..." I missed the name, "playing around with Grav. And I was all like "Wow, you can do that?"

Z: "It's about noon. We ought to go and get lunch."

A: "Or we could stay for another two hours!"

    Talk of lunch.

TANGENT: The various ways to wish someone happy holidays, merry Xmas, etc.

1:59 coh_beastyle: You know, the best thing I ever heard was someone in Ski Chalet calling it,
1:59 coh_beastyle: "The Greed and Avarice Festival"

You can make a Heroic Demon Summoning Mastermind, you realize.

If you're going to bring DnD alignments into this, Demons are Chaotic Evil, Devils are Lawful Evil. The Nine Hells is where the Devils hang out, the Abyss is where Demons hang out.

So the Noble Demon types are associated with Hellfire.
