  1. I would like to bring back some of the old costume pieces. Namely the old Gladiator shoulder.

    Exhibit A:

    Back: http://imageshack.us/f/703/tankwin2.png/

    Exhibit B:

I posted about this many moons ago but nothing has been done yet. Fixing the clipping is an option, but would it really be so difficult to just have Gladiator 1 and Gladiator 2? More options never hurt this game. Even if it didn't clip the texture just doesn't match, and I feel the small shoulder floats too high. I just want my old shoulder back so I can play one of my favorite characters that I've created, looking the way I envisioned him.

But that's a personal note. I'm all for holding off new pieces in favor of NPC parts. There is just so much unused content and potential to tap into, stuff that I've wanted to put on characters ever since I saw it. And I'm sure it would be easier for you guys to take existing parts instead of having to design new ones from scratch. We don't need brand new designs, we have so many parts already, yet so few, considering how many we can't use. Let's change that.
  2. I posted about this in General but apparently the thread was removed because it "became a discussion of other games."

And the moderator suggested I post about it here.

    So here's a repost:

Please add an option to loop background music. I believe in listening to ingame music while playing a game, and I enjoy what little music there is in this game for the most part, and 20 second clips followed by silence do not cut it. Music makes playing the game more exciting and without it it feels dull and lifeless. You composed all these new tracks for Going Rogue and I can't even listen to them long enough to appreciate them.

Personally this is my biggest gripe with the game. To not have this basic option after 7 years is just absurd. I realize that some areas like Atlas Park don't have real tracks, but most zones do and I'd like to be able to listen to them while playing.

(I realize this is more of a request than a suggestion, but again I was told to post about it here)

It only plays the second, quieter score now, not the thundering, sinister orchestral one. Somebody must know what I'm talking about.
  4. What the heck happened to the awesome villain creation music? D:
  5. I love enemies that explode. I always go after exploding drones and robots, and am sorely disappointed when Arachnos spiderbots simply collapse and shut down instead of blowing to smithereens.

    And Mayhem missions are awesome.

Everything in this game should explode. My game experience would be greatly enhanced by this.

    No. No they really don't.

    And it doesn't.

    Good argument.

Considering how hair-trigger people are about any little thing in this game (A kill-all?! The nerve! Enemies wearing purple?? I HATE PURPLE! Enemies actually killed my Tanker?!! CHEAP! 1 STAR, JERK!), no thanks. It would only add another level of needless complication onto a straightforward quest system. Plus, I would fully expect such a system to be griefed. Devs nerf your favorite powerset? Go mark every single in-game arc as 1 star!

I'm cynical too, but that's a bit of a stretch. The legitimate reviews always outweigh the knee-jerks. Works for AE, can work for the real thing.
  8. Vast majority of missions are drawn out and tedious. Cave missions are the worst. And there's no way to know which contacts give badges and which missions are worthwhile without using 3rd party sites, which is also tedious.

There should be a rating system for regular missions and arcs, so that we know what we're getting into before accepting, and the devs can get direct feedback on their content. Tired of wasting time on boring arcs that never go anywhere.

    P.S
    Thank you for Faultline.

Maybe you should get a new video card and change your graphics up a bit. Because I'm not seeing what you just described...

I'm running max settings on everything.

You may be blind, one way or another.
  10. The environments in this game don't do it for me at all. Bland colors, flat low res textures, overly-simplistic geometry, weak effects, enemies doing jack all, further bogged down with severely lacking audio and a pervasive feeling of emptiness (like Skyway's empty highways). Not to mention those garish war walls.

Most mission maps are plain, too.

It's really the worst part of the game.

    This is sad.

Making the low level missions less crappy would help, too.

They are certainly better than some other games.

Go get me 10 rat tails.

Ok, now go get me 10 bear skins.

Ok now go get me 10 rat tails. Yeah yeah I know but I already used up the others.

Ok, now travel across the continent to talk to this person. Incidentally they are going to ask you for 10 rat tails and then send you back here.

disclaimer: Rat tails may not be an exact item desired in said other games. I am merely attempting to recreate the feeling I got when I played them for a short period before quitting out of mind numbing boredom.

Go to this random series of bland linear hallways and kill the same 2 mobs until it says "Mission Complete."

Most of this game is beyond repetitive. Story is the only thing that gives missions substance and the low level content has none.

  13. Just don't. Never.

    Ever.

    Ever.

    EVER.

    EVER.

EV-ER create a mission where you have to kill all the mobs to complete it.

FWIW, you have to do Costume Creator screen shots "old school":

Hit PrtScrn as normal, then go into an image editor, paste and save. If you're using Paint, just hit Paste, and save as JPG. In Photoshop, create a new document (it'll provide dimensions to fit), Paste, Flatten, and save as JPG. (I'm afraid those are the only ones I'm familiar with.)

    [/ QUOTE ]

Like I said, pasting doesn't work. All I get is a black image. Something's screwy.

Anyway, I liked the way the pipe fed directly into the old shoulder. The generator on his arm was part of the concept.

Updating textures I can understand. Completely changing the design under everyone's nose, on the other hand, is just wrong.
  15. Here we go.

    Exhibit A
    Exhibit B
    Exhibit Three

You can see how the right shoulder clips through itself and how the left one is too high up. Tank Armstrong looked way better with the original.

I wanted to show the saved template I have showing the old design, but apparently the creation screen is camera shy.
  16. They're messed up on Huge models. And the textures don't match my robotic arms.

I'm trying to take a screenshot in the editor but it doesn't show up in the folder. Pasting doesn't work. What's the deal?
  17. Totally messed up one of my character's looks. Please bring back the old look as an option.

    Thank you.
  18. I dunno about you guys, but those pieces make me think Jay plays too much Crysis.

I'd be interested to see more WP guides in general. MA/WP would be especially useful.

    Seconded.
