  1. Thank you. We are still recruiting for leadership positions and regular membership positions for any who are interested.
  2. The background/theme is that the group is based in a pocket dimension created by a group of Rikti War veterans in 2002. They originally planned to turn their backs on the world, and evacuated to the dimension with a few thousand hand-picked citizens. They began to feel guilty recently, with the resurgence of the Rikti War and the other tragedies affected Paragon City. As a result, several of the heroes have returned to Primal Earth with the goal of using their pocket dimension's resources to fight against the Rikti and other villains of Primal Earth.
  3. The Paragonian Protectorate is a new RP-optional group that is forming on the server. We need members and experienced players to serve as leaders in order for the group to get off the ground. We do have a functioning website (paragonian.guildportal.com) and a background history. This early in development, we are willing to offer rapid advancement oppurtunities for new members. In addition, we will be offering strong support of fan fiction and AE arcs created by members. Either PM me here at the forums, contact me in-game with a tell to @Vauluur, or post on our website for more information or to join. Don't miss this chance to become a part of creating something new!
  4. Name: Paragonian Protectorate

Currently Recruiting: We are brand new, looking for members and experienced volunteers to help get the group off the ground. We are also looking for both RP and non-RP coalitions.

RP Level: RP-optional. We have a background, and I'm in the process of creating an AE arc with our origin in it. SG chat is OOC, and all teams are OOC unless otherwise noted. Once we get a decent number of members, I will begin scheduling RP team nights.

PvP Level: Friendly to PvP, will probably get more involved when we have a larger number of members. Base raids are of particular interest, if they ever get those working properly.

Theme/Concept: The Paragonian Protectorate is a pocket dimension (located in a magically protected area of the Shadow Shard) that was created by a group of scientists and mystics after the first Rikti War. The reason for its creation was to provide citizens a place where they could be safe from any future Rikti attacks. Once the mystics, scientists, and heroes who created the Protectorate had gathered up a few thousand civilians from around the globe, they ran out of housing in their new dimension, so they retreated to it and sealed it off. Only recently did they begin to feel a need to use their abilities to help fight against the Rikti and other threats to Paragon City.

Activity: We were just founded, so we have only a small number of members. Activity will be enforced, so expect a high level of activity once we get more members in the group.

Requirements for Membership: Members will be expected to log in at least once a week. They will also be expected to use one costume slot for an SG costume and to play in SG mode as much as possible. Once the forums are up and running, members will be expected to make a meaningful post at least once a week (not just hey what's going on, actually say something useful).

    Leadership: Vauluur, Turisa

    In-Game Contact(s): @Vauluur

Out-of-Game Contact(s): PM Vauluur here at the forums

    URL: paragonian.guildportal.com

Coalition(s): Looking for RP, non-RP, and PvP coalitions

Other Details: Events will be scheduled frequently, with the eventual goal of having something going on every night. The idea of the Protectorate is to form a lasting group of friends in the City of Heroes, and to enjoy all that Paragon City has to offer.
  5. I'm planning on using a respec on my level 50 scrapper. I want to remake his build to be more useful trying to influence farm. He has the portal jockey, freedom phalanx, and atlas medallion. He is very close to TF commander. The build that I'm planning on changing into is posted below. Please tell me what you think. Keep in mind, most of the sets won't be affordable right away, but all except the two purple sets will come pretty quickly.

  6. Earlier today I founded a new SG name Crisis Response Team. My goal for the group is to grow it to enough size that it can respond immediately to in-game zone events such as monster spawns and troll raids, as well as host and coordinate a variety of other events. These events will hopefully include TFs, parties, raids, costume contests, and just about anything else we cook up, including zone and arena PvP.

To help facilitate this, I plan on creating a global channel next time I log into the game. However, I am currently the group's lone member. In order to make this happen, I will need dedicated officers to help expand the group and form a complete charter of the group.

For anyone looking for a wonderful oppurtunity, and who has experience in the game or just leadership experience in general, I am looking for:

    2 co-leaders
4 sector coordinators (city zones will be seperated into 4 sectors in first officer meeting)
1 pvp coordinator (pvp zones and arena considered as a seperate sector from city zones)
1 base coordinator (artistic and creative person with experience if possible)

I am also looking for a coordinator for each zone, and plenty of members to fill out the ranks. If you are interested, please send me a global tell at @Vauluur. You can also send an in game email to Ampithere, which is the toon I am using to lead the group. I request that you also post in this thread so that I know for sure you are interested.

    LFSG

I'm a veteran of nearly five years, returning from a short break. I chose to move here to Freedom upon my return and I am looking for a mid-large sized supergroup that is highly active and has a strong and friendly community. Any groups that fit that description have openings?
  8. Psy, you're on to the very thing that I wanted to point out. With I10, we have started an apolyptic theme. Posi told us that. at least 2 different times. What's more, you're biblical reference once again beats me to the point. You forgot to mention that the Rikti general Drag'on also represents part of the apocalypse. I however, doubt that this is an alternate time line. I think we are looking at the future of primal earth. We are gonna get new tutorials. Talos is gonna be gone. The infinity symbol also has a tie to apocalyptic themes. The snake has always represented evil as well, such as the egyptian god set. We were told the Blood of the Black stream is coming. I think it's in I11. They are supposed to be egyptian, enter set, the snake, a symbol also tied to Satan and revelations.
  9. "My fellow heroes, you have come here today, because you desire to try one last time to save the world." Ampithere's voice boomed across the ruined remains of Atlas Park. "I commend you all. It takes a lot to just show up here today. You truly are brave..." Ampithere breaks off, firing a dark blast into the sky, where, moments later a portal opens. The Army of Rularuu pour out of it. "TO ARMS!!!"
  10. SETTING:
In the year 2085, Paragon City has, once again, become the center of a war. Like many others, this war is a battle for the very existence of mankind. The Rikti had been defeated decades ago. They are, or were, our allies. They are mostly gone now. Not many criminals are left. Most died with all the heroes that fell in the beginning of this war, 5 years ago. Nemesis, Arachnos, and the surviving Heroes are now the only standing champions of Earth. The world is in ruins. Only 15% of the global population is still alive. The surviving heroes are mostly veterans from nearly a century ago. The remainder of Vanguard is in charge of co-ordinating the effort against our enemy: Rularuu. The armies of the Destroyer rampage across the planet. And here, those heroes who are worthy, join the battle. Ampithere, the current public leader of the remainder of Vanguard, stands at a podium, speaking to a crowd of heroes that are brave enough to take another stand.
  11. I am also having the black and white screen with the split towards the right. However, I don't have duel processors. I have a GeForce 6200, I downloaded the vista drivers. My system ran the game flawlessly before, but now the characters and the game itself is black and white, but the UI and the login screen/character select (minus the characters of course) are still in color. Also, towards the right of the screen, there is a second copy of what's on the left. I'm also running vista home premium, which seems to be the theme with this issue so far. What I noticed I have in common with the other poster who mentioned this issue is our version of vista and that we both have GeForce 6 series graphics cards. PS, idk if this has anything to do with it, but the game tells me I need to download up-to-date drivers.
  12. We are called The Reborn and we were, well, reborn. Myself and the other leader, Guardian of Stone, were members of Strike Force until the fallout that happened just recently. We also founded a villain group called the X-Avengers. I set up the forums today, and after we have enough members, I'll get a base (15 members will convince me to do it). Check out the site
  13. I can't say i've ever had this experience, but MAN would i be PO'd. Note to Self: Avoid longbow nullifiers.
  14. Mine also says it has been canceled due to security reasons.
  15. Nice job, I have yet to actually be disappointed by the character I'm running from this guide.
  16. [ QUOTE ]
Are we talking about PvP here or did you just try and solo Requiem at level 10?

    [/ QUOTE ]
I know I'm a bit late, but that's pretty funny.
  17. All this magnetics and water is cool, and so are pistols, but ummm.... What about incarnates? And Avilons? I also believe we can refer to water AT's as "Coralax" I highly doubt statesman will see this post.... but I wouldn't DARE PM him. He would probably say like "Soon." I think that's his automatic response or something....
  18. Hmmm... order from Best Buy so that I get the awesome Mystic Helm, okay then, fine with me.
