  1. So you wanna make me wait until it's actually Live before I can plan a build? Make me wait the interminable period between when StJ is available and when you update before I can properly plan my build? Why would you put me through that?
  2. Tankers and Defenders' inherents DO help them solo; Tankers' t1 attacks apply 20% non-stacking resistance debuffs, and Vigilance gives a 30% damage increase while solo.
  3. According to Positron, the original plan was to switch them out every 3-4 months, but they're looking at options, such as having more than one earnable up at once.
  4. Still no Street Justice? WHAT IS THE POINT
  5. But then Warshades might hate you.
  6. I don't think they have to make it actually do a type of damage for it to check against that type of defense.
  7. Nah, it's a pretty good set. I think people just don't like how the armors hide your costume.
  8. A BotZ -KB or Winter's Gift +Slow Res in Fly, a LotG +Rech in Afterburner, and then just use Steam Jump or the Jump Pack to cap both.
  9. I, like many here, am sick to death of getting shortchanged on these NPC conversions. I don't care if they clip with 20% of the available costume pieces, that's still 80% they WON'T clip with. Just like with the IDF pieces, I wanted to make a costume that looks like the group's bosses, but instead I'm stuck with looking like the minions. This is not acceptable! At least with this set I can voice my displeasure by not buying it.
  10. Do we not get the big gloves or wingy back details? Come on!
  11. I see what's going on. The OP meant to say trawl the forums.
  12. Ow! Ow! Guys, Zwillinger keeps hitting me for some reason!
  13. It's hard for you to troll the forums? But it's such an easy thing to do! All you have to do is make up some wildly incendiary, unprovable statement that doesn't directly insult anyone.

As for your question, I wouldn't get too attached to your colored powers. The devs have decided that power customization is too big a drain on server resources and too much of a nightmare to maintain, so they're just gonna remove it in an upcoming patch.
  14. It's been my experience since i21 launch that any contact that can be introduced by a broker can be found with the Find Contact button, or you can just find them yourself and talk to them.
  15. I use taunt for pulling, so any sort of control effect is going to reduce its utility for me.
  16. Okay, so with the recent changes to PBs I got mine out of storage to try him out. I've found something strange though: my shapeshifting binds don't work like they should any more.

When I hit my Human-form bind, (powexectoggleoff White Dwarf$$powexectoggleoff Bright Nova) my forms deactivate as expected, but if I start hitting it when a form power is activating, and keep hitting it (because, you know, I'm in a hurry), after I switch back to human form it'll then queue the shapeshift toggle back UP and I might change back into the form I just left. It's always the form I was in the gets queued up.

    Anyone know what's going on?

    Stage downloads?

CoH uses a new staged download system for new players to get in the game faster. The updater installs the game in stages:

Stage 1: Login and Character creation screen

    Stage 2: Tutorial

Stage 3: Atlas Park and Mercy Island

    Stage 4: Everything else

Just leave the updater running and it'll finish.
  18. Nobody was talking about kicking people without Clarions. And you're missing the point; while there's lots of powers that give some confuse protection, none of them are enough on their own, or even together in amounts you're likely to find with a random group. The only way to have any reliable protection from Confuse is Break Frees. You can't cover a whole league with Steamy Mist, Clarion doesn't last long enough, and leadership only affects teammates.

But that's not what I'd consider the worst part. The worst part is Infection. If its debuffs and the Avatar's attacks are enough to one- or two-shot a Tanker (and not just a regular Tanker, a defensively built tanker with the soft cap from IOs and all the fixins) then what hope does a Scrapper or Brute or Widow have to contribute?
  19. Clarion isn't even a good solution to the confuse since it only gives enough Confuse protection for the final room for 15-30 seconds. You need at least seven stacks of Clarion to be Confuse protected for the full duration of the buff.

And it doesn't help at all with Infection. My Tanker, simply put, cannot go into melee with the Avatar because of it, since if he does, he will die.
  20. Which do you think is more unfair: the massive Confuse that practically mandates you fill your trays with Break Frees from the hospital to have any reliable shot of contributing to the fight, or the Infection debuff that will floor your defense and resistance and allow him to one-shot your Tanker *** if you spend more than one attack in melee range?

Or maybe your favorite part of the Underground Trial comes earlier, with the Extinction War Walkers' Lethal Force that does unresistable autohit damage in a AoE around anyone targeted by the War Walker. Oh and it stacks for more damage the more targeted people are nearby.

Well, they could get around that by changing the end cost to zero and adding a -End on self effect to the powers. Of course, then you couldn't slot them for endurance cost reduction. And the fact that it's really not a good idea to begin with...
  22. I know! I was agreeing with you!
  23. You're right! These are HUGE problems! Issue 21: Worst Update Everâ„¢!

Height wise is pretty much the same. The costume option came out a little thicker. The point where the npc option pulls ahead with me is the proportions. The npc model looks more like a monster to me especially with the longer arms. It also has the slabs of rock that currently can not be replicated in the character creator.
You know there would be actual rock geometry added, right?
