    Thats unfortunate, I wonder why that is?

    They are called ATO's because:

    TO = Training Origin
    DO = Dual Origin
    SO = Single Origin
    IO = Invention Origin
    ATO = Archetype Origin
  3. Is there a way to set the default color for a set to a power you selected an alternate animation for?

    An example, lets say you change the animation for Footstomp to the Punch. Footstomp will now take on whatever color scheme you have.

    Is there a way to simply change the animation but maintain the default color scheme? If not, is there a listing for what the default color schemes are?

    That's a great outlook on life.

    There were also threads which discussed the reasons that the developer's stated why they did not want to port over Poison, and why those reasons were faulty. When you state your opinions it gives people a chance to jump on any faulty logic you provide (Currently, see Peacebringers and their Solar Flare issues). This can be done though positive calculations and debate (I personally see a lot of this from our community) or through jabs and negative comments. Both occur from our community, and both will continue to occur whether the developers state their opinions or not (see this thread for example). You can't make everyone happy. Is that a good reason why they shouldn't try something that could be viewed (and most likely will be by a few) negatively?

    Did you link to the wrong post? I don't see anything about not wanting Dark Control, just a less then stellar personal opinion of a set and a desire for more information about Illusion Control (Which, personally I'd like too).

    Also, even if we get people who whine about new and free things being added (Note: the definition for whine does not cover justified criticisms) I'd like to think that they do not represent us players on the whole.

    If you are willing to 'connect the dots' and explain what Synapse is explicitly saying, go right ahead. If the whole point about his comments was the punch line "Illusion will not be ported" why didn't he say just that (remember that you are equivocating both statements)?

    As a counter example, the developers have also stated that Power Boost is incredibly hard to balance. I believe Castle even said if he could, he'd go back and get rid of the powers altogether. Since then, we've been given more things with +special such as Earth Assault and Clarion, which is apparently something the developers get nightmares from. Dark Assault is also getting a +special effect.

    Good thing people can be civil and happy while also not satisfied. I can happily play my Gravity Controller while simultaneously not be satisfied by his control options. I've added to discussions about this subject on the forums and over time many people have come up with great ideas how to combat this unsatisfying situation. Sure a few people come running in to scream "Gravity Sucks," but they are the minority.
    Regarding Power Boost, I'd say the reason it isn't a problem anymore is because controls are pretty poor in Incarnate Trials.

    First to recap:
    • The price for Super Packs has been set at 80 Paragon Points Each. There will be a discount for buying in bulk, ala a box of packs, which is TBD.
    • We are still discussing/considering concerns expressed regarding the exclusivity of costume pieces. We're open to the idea of making them available through an alternate method in the Paragon Market, however a decision has not been made regarding this particular topic.
    Now for the new stuff:
    • ATOs (Archetype Enhancements) will be purchasable from the Reward Merit Vendor, for a combination of Reward Merits and Inf, and from Astral Christy, for a combination of Astral Merits and Inf. There will be a cooldown timer on the purchase of these items. The amount of Inf and duration of the cooldown are still being discussed and will be evaluated once all of this hits beta. This is in addition to their availability in Super Packs.
    • Enhancement Catalysts will be added to the game as rare drops from enemies defeated during Incarnate Trials and in the upcoming newly Incarnated Dark Astoria. Like ATOs, this is in addition to their availability through Super Packs.
    I'll keep everyone updated as more decisions are made. Please be sure to check these out when they hit beta.

    Thanks!

    Great news thanks.

    I still think the costume parts need to be sold separately. I am willing to pay a higher price if need be for these parts, I just don't want to have to deal with a random generator.
  6. I'd give Energy Melee a new mechanic:

    Stunned Opponents have their damage transferred into 50% splash damage. This would give a reason for taking Stun.
  7. Oh wow, so it turns a single target confuse into an AOE one?
  8. I just got this recipe while running solo, I looked it up on ParagonWiki

    http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Coercive...ious_Confusion

    33% Chance for Confusion... Hmm seems pretty redundant since its a confuse set.

    What mag is the confuse? What is the duration?
  9. I have been a bit confused on things. Are we technically in Issue 21.5? I know we got the new Incarnate abilities but what about the trials? Are they still in beta? Or whats the deal with them?

    I know they were pulled, are they not coming till Issue 22?

The end result is that by the time you play any given alt you've probably racked up a bunch of Day Job credit to make the Day Job bonuses worthwhile.

    Unfortunately you're just not going to get much from Day Jobs if you constantly play just one main alt all the time.
    Well I think the accolade bonuses can be nice, you can gain charges or more time to various toggles.
  11. Thinking about purchasing it and I have a question. I currently do a month to month auto-renewal. If I buy a year of bonus time, come next year will my account auto-renew for month to month again or will it auto-renew a year?
  12. Interesting reads in this thread. Doing some calculations will get back.
  13. Wouldn't Dark Armor be the best pair?
  14. And the maintenance has been postponed... hasn't this happened to every single past maintenance the past 3 times? I mean sheesh.
  15. Ok and I just re-obtained it... we'll see if this happens again.
  16. I would of sworn I got this badge 2 days ago. I had spent a few hours in Praetoria and was doing all the badges. I was swimming the rivers and checking progress on each spot and I swore it got awarded.

    I login today and I notice I am now at 18/19 progress....

    Was I imagining things or is it this possible?

    Scrappers/brutes have similar sets (Katana/BS). They're higher maintenance if you're relying on the attack to stay capped.
    Right but in the case of Sweep from Titan Weapons, it also shares itself with Bruising. So its not really anymore maintenance since the buffs last the same durations no?
  18. Ultimus

    Invincible?

    Ok a few questions:

    1) Why isn't Dark Armor considered the top defensive armor? With that heal, you could always be topped off.

    2) How do you think Titan Weapons will effect which armor is the best? Defensive sweep can soft cap melee defense in two swings on it.
  19. Has anyone actually tried sending a PM to Synapse and asking? He's always responded to my PMs.
  20. Will they finally fix the blue hero side? I hate having to be logged into red.

    Link?
  22. Another thing to consider when DPS isn't straight numbers, no scenario is perfect. Rage gives the benefit of +To Hit which destroys any enemy with defense. Double stacked rage and if you use IO's can give you a perma 52% to-hit buff allowing you to slot more procs or whatever in your attacks for added DPS.

    Ever seen a Paragon Protector hit MOG? You won't whiff on them.

    Yeah reason I wanted to link to the patch notes was because I petitioned because its still not working for me. The GM is telling me its going to be fixed in an upcoming patch but I believe that patch has been released.

    Sad thing is, I can't prove it

    The only single target tanker attacks that did more damage than 6.333 BI (2.28 DS) were: Cleave (2.76), GFS (2.44 + DoT), Seismic Smash (3.56), KO Blow (after the upgrade - 3.56), Total Focus (3.56) and Energy Transfer (4.56). Not that many powers have had their damage substantially changed in Tanker secondaries, so a quick glance at City of Data will show the range of damage in the sets is and was similar. Jab is and always was 0.68 DS, for example (i.e. 1.8889 BI).
    Haha I had to look up what Encino man was now I remember that movie... been ages.

    Yes until recently Scrappers never exceeded 6.333 BI and if they did the power did not crit for full. Street Justice is one of the outliers of this with Crushing Uppercut being around 8.999 I believe and crits for a full 8.999 damage.

    Point is Tankers did have more control type effects in their secondaries and they got some pretty heavy hitting attacks too compared to Scrappers back in the day.
