According to that contest the selected character was going to be an NPC in Studio 55 (The Dance Area in Praetoria).
So is there any unique looking NPCs in there? -
And I am stealing this for my campaign song

Just think of it saying the "Ultimus man with a plan" -
Any guesses for what we are getting tonight? Did they ever fix the Ghost Dog animations?
-
If elected, I will be sure to hand out a story arc that unlocks Signature Powers for Players:

What would your character do?

Ok I will be the new leader of the Freedom Phalanx.

Quote:The devs disagree with you as we stated earlier up the proc was changed to proc 7 fury. I was hitting full fury on test. It rocks now it can be like a 40% damage increase at times. This is a good point.
I would have been VERY surprised if Brutes got an ATO proc that increased anything significantly.
The AT is a little overpowered already. It's perfectly fair that the ATs that are already borderline overpowered don't get as much of a boost as some of the others. Scrappers go from 5% crit chance to 6% crit chance and that's being seen as far better than what brutes get?
And for the record, Stalkers are getting shafted again. How? They are getting changed to be able to use Assassin Strike as a Superior damage regular attack when not in Hide, and their ATO will put them in Hide when it procs. So, you'll run through your attack chain and instead of the fast Superior AS you thought you were going to use, the proc fires and you get the 4 second interruptible AS instead. -
Quote:Technically its two arcs Doc Buzzsaw gives. Annoying as I went Villain side to get all of the story arcs done.Well if it's just that one arc then I'd be more likely to consider it a unique bug. If you couldn't see any of them with a Praetorian then that might almost be expected. Report it and see what happens - still might take them a few months to fix it regardless. I reported a bug where one of the "gold stars" from an Ouroboros arc would not trigger when you finished the arc and it took several months to fix. *shrugs*

The Doc Buzzsaw Story arcs for Praetorian characters is not appearing in Ouroboros. I believe this is due to the fact that Praetorians do not get the "Bling" badge (Which unlocks the contact) but they get the "Who's Who" badge.
-
Quote:Just this one, and someone else in game just confirmed they cannot see it either. (and that person is a Praetorian)Yeah that might be the operative phrase here. I haven't bothered doing much with a native Praetorian in Ouroboros so I don't really know how they might react to the unlockable redside arcs. Could be bug and/or a known issue with Praetorians. Is this same Praetorian having any trouble accessing any of the other badge unlockable arcs or just this one?
-
Quote:Well he has the Praetorian equal... in fact this character has over 1000 badges. Doc Buzzsaw is on my contact list so I did unlock her at one point.Does your Praetorian have the Bling badge?
-
Ok a small update, I just logged into another 50 villain of mine and I can see the Story Arcs. The character that cannot see them is a Praetorian (But is level 50)... anyone know how to fix this?
-
Are certain arcs not appearing in Ouroboros? I am looking for Doc Buzzsaw's arcs in Ouroboros and I cannot find them. I am 50 so I have the contact and its unlocked as it appears on my map.
I don't see the arcs in Ouroboros though...
Anyone else able to confirm? -
I recently went Villain on Freedom server to run story arcs and collect badges... Freedom is the most popular server and the red side is pretty dead. It has about 1/4 of the population of the hero side

Quote:Recluse was never immortal (Outside of the aging aspect) because in the villain story arcs you go into the future and actually kill him to stop Project Destiny. This is even before Incarnate existed so you exceeded his power greatly then...Despite their differences, one would think that Recluse would be a bit furious at Darrin for killing Statesman, if for no other reason then Recluse was saving that pleasure for himself.
But, Statesman and Recluse are truly immortal/eternally young (ok States isn't anymore), these two were fated to outlive the entire human race if it came down to that, yet in the end they'd still have each other.....imagine Earth being a desolate wasteland and only Recluse and States were left alive simply because of their immortality? Quite possibly that could be considered a fate worse then death. All their hatred and attempts to destroy each other, and what is left? A desolate planet, the human race gone..... -
Quote:Yes you can slot two half sets for 10% total. As long as each enhancer is different you can split the set. It would be like slotting half of Hetacomb in KO BLow and the other 3 enhancers in Punch.Incorrect.
Unless this has recently changed, you cannot slot two half-sets of catalysed ATO's. You can slot 3 of the catalysed (purple strength) and three of the regular strength.
Honestly, I'm looking very hard at the split slotting for all three of the melee sets: I tend to be recharge insensitive and 7.5 percent S/L defense is REALLY NICE.
If the ATO specials remain as they are now, the Tanker special is VERY nice, the Brute special is potentially 'okay', and the Scrapper special is 'meh'. I personally am likely to go for splits on all of them, proccing the tankers and maybe brutes, and definitely not proccing the Scrappers. (I like mitigation.)
Now that said, a case may be made that single-setting the Scrappers would be better, as it averages out to roughly 9 percent global damage boost with the purple Scrapper set. Still pretty meh, but maybe enough to offset losing the extra 2.5 percent S/L defense.
For brutes, the difference depends strongly on where fury decay settles out to be. As I add up on my fingers and toes, it looks to me like brutes will be skyrocketing fury so fast the 'buildup' time approaches inconsequence, and the 'steady state' may be above 90 percent. If so, then the purple brute set with proc may come in at 25+ percent global damage boost, which is...not bad. Maybe not as cool as 2.5 percent S/L, but we'll see.
EDIT: Oh, wait, I see what you're getting at....
No, I still think it's better to go with half purple and half orange in a single power. This lowers your opportunity cost in lost slotting of other things, and let's you veer away from the Dual IO's to get more total bonus. The extra 2.5 percent S/L is nice, but I think you'd be paying too much for it.
Now, if there was another set that gave decent bonuses at three slots that could complement this..... But KC's/erads/obi's tend to be the sweetest spot defense-wise. Probably the best slotting would be halfsies in PBAOE's with erads in the other three slots.
Hmm. That could free up some KC's. Hmmm.
(Pulls out paper and pencil.) Grrrr...... -
He accidentally hit the "walk" power when he went to attack Wade detoggling himself and being killed... oh wait thats what happened.

Is it possible to somehow turn off (Besides detoggling) or picking certain colors so that you can minimize the effects from Fiery Aura as much as possible? Reason I ask is because on my character when I do flashback arcs he has certain "auras" and colors depending what power level he is fighting at. 15-29 is red aura, 30-44 gold, and 45-50 is a blue.
Sub 15 I would like it to be a minimal aura or none at all. Is this possible? -
Quote:What Praetorian Invasion version?Hi everyone,
For: I just wanted to let you know that we're aware that MoM is not currently counting for Dimensional Warder, and we're working on a fix. We will let you know more when the fix is implemented.
However, the Praetorian Invasion version of Mother Mayhem will not qualify for this badge. -
I also hate to suggest this but the Brute ATO set bonuses might need to be swapped in reverse order. Right now it gives: (this is with the catalyst)
2) 3% Health
3) 5% S/L 2.5% Melee
4) 4% DMG
5) 10% Recharge
6) 2.52% S/L Resistance
What does this mean? In my opinion, you would see a better benefit slotting two powers with 3 catalyst Brute IO's for 6% health, 10% Smashing/Lethal Defense then doing the above. (These bonuses would work all the way exemplared down too)
Thoughts on this? -

And Synapse is looking into fixing it now, it is suppose to proc only once per cast, not per target. Based on this, I am guessing there would be no benefit in slotting it into an AOE then? (Which is how it should be)
