  1. Now as to the topic at hand...
Watched ep #20 and found it enjoyable. All I care for now is the remainder of season 1 air in the US and the DVD brick get released in short order.

    Thank you for the time...
  2. At this moment, I've just quick scanned through the thread, so I may have missed some points...

I do agree w/Sam about the linear (and head-scratching layout) nature of the maps. But then again, what video game doesn't use a linear path, in essence, for indoor/underground areas?

But there is a little spark that the map tech is getting a little better. If anyone has had a chance to go through the new Preatorian Warehouse maps that came w/I20, you'd see. In one of the maps, there is a square office w/a 4 cubicle like set-up and accessible by two doors that swing in. Also in this map is a side break room with a single door access. When the GF & I were running a mission for a newer Prea Character I rolled recently in this map, those changes surprised me and impressed me as well. I would so love seeing little tweaks like this ported over to the older maps and the like.

I'll have to look and see if they've been added into the AE maps. It's not a OMG kind of thing, but, I think, it might be a step in the right direction.

    Thank you for the time...
  3. All I can say about this is that I still have a number of the initial MIXXzine issues and some of the Sailor Moon single issues floating around.

Shame Tokyopop folded like that, but it had a presence for a good while.

    Thank you for the time...
  4. Well I'm guessing the hot patch that's coming today for the Mains is hitting test right now.

152 MB, so it isn't too big. Nothing on Beta though, so...

    Just thought I'd mention it.

    Thank you for the time....
  5. Not to diminish NCSoft's aid to the mess in Japan, but...

That was news and discussed in depth almost a month ago.

Official announcement in the news archive

    Forum discussion thread

And one thread in General Discussions about it

    Thank you for the time...

    Big Patch?

Only thing I can think of is that Test was never patched up for I20.

All of the Betaing that was done was done on the Beta Server. And by the patch size, it seems comparable to what got patched for I20 on the mains.

    Just a thought.

    Thank you for the time...
  7. Interesting take on the overall mythos. More standard Fantasy w/some mecha/steampunk type stuff thrown in.

It'll be worth watching the pilot and a couple eps at least.

    Thank you for the time...
  8. And here we go again...

At 10:25AM CDT, got a Admin message that the Servers were going down in Five minutes.

Oh this is gonna be a fun day for everyone for sure.

    Thank you for the time...
  9. Seems the servers are up.

It's 9:51AM CDT and I just logged on to Freedom. Store is still down, but at least I can play.

    Thank you for the time...

    Yesh....

7-8 years ago, I might of given this a look.
15 years ago, I would of at least watched a couple of eps with some interest.
After going though that teaser again, I just want it MSTied through and through. That is all.

    Thank you for the time...

  11. But Mother, why can't we have XP? I enjoy XP...

    Thank you for the time...
  12. And just think of it, outside of the OMG factor of it, we most likely wouldn't get XP off of it...

    Thank you for the time...
  13. Someone mentioned this in one of the 6-hour Maintenance/I-20 hope threads, but I figured this needed a separate thread.

The March Producers Letter got put up yesterday.
    Highlights:

    • Overview of PAX East
    • Discussions of the Server List Announcement and the fallout on the EU side
    • I20 is next Week!
    • Respec Tokens on I20 Launch and during anniversary time

    Thank you for the time...
  14. Let's see here...

    Think the best exchange was:
Off-screen Voice: "Fear Me. I've killed hundreds of Time Lords."
The Doctor: "Fear Me. I've killed all of them."

Oh yea, this season is gonna be interesting indeed...

    Thank you for the time...

And to be honest, I liked the core game stuff and a lot of the supplemental stuff that came out in the couple of years after ward.

On a bit more on topic, I never really cared for Vampire. But I liked the concepts more in Mage, myself...

    Thank you for the time...

    No. You are wrong.

My point is as now I am loosing my global name because the EU servers are being merged into the NA list, and I have an inactive NA account with the same global as I have on the EU servers.

This will be the majority of the situation, you even agree in previous posts. Now if the NA list merged into the EU list I would not be loosing my name, so I would not be affected.

Since there will be more EU based players with a secondary NA than the other way around, its quite an easy thing to figure out that although the Devs planned way is faster no doubt, my way would involve less clashes that would actually affect anyone.

The majority of the posts coming from EU is "I have an inactive (or second) NA account and I would prefer my EU to have priority" with very few "I'm worried someone else has my name"

I have been reading through this whole thread. While I do understand the necessity of NCSoft's actions and the problems that can occur, please keep in mind a few things:

    1) Z has already stated some additional things (Quoted below):

So let's get down to Brass Tacks (yeah yeah...). We've been in serious discussion regarding many of the concerns expressed here. While some of our planning is still nascent, and as such I cannot go into a great deal of detail regarding our intent, I can state the following:
    • To those stating we should not move forward with the Global Server Access plans, we cannot consider this. For a number of operational reasons, it's important that we move forward with Global Server Access.
    • For those of you who have known conflicting @Global chat handles due to having accounts in both the NA and EU account database: We will be offering a reactivation weekend for those with inactive accounts on NA servers and active accounts on EU servers. This will coincide with the ability to rename your @Global chat handle prior to the database merge.
    • We are currently investigating options to free up @Global chat handles off of inactive trial accounts. Please keep in mind, we will only do this if it does not present a considerable amount of risk.
While several of the options presented are interesting and have merit, remember that what may seem fair to some, would seem entirely unfair to others. Additionally, some options, while good ideas, present more risk to character records than is acceptable.

We're going to make every effort we can to ensure that your in game persona remains as intact while presenting the least amount of risk to character records as possible. As someone who's job it is to manage online communities and provide a place for people to build relationships, I understand the importance of your virtual identity and the value you're placing on it.
    So let's see here...
Those EU players that have NA & EU accounts will have the opportunity to adjust the global they don't want to get messed with.

    2) The actions NCSoft have taken over the last 6 weeks or so have been all in consolidating their logistical operations, if you think about it. I personally haven't cared for the implementation of these changes, but I can see now WTF is going on. There seems to be a serious attempt to streamline internal operations so we can still play City at the quality we as players have had.

Personally, I don't know if I'll try playing on Union or Defiant. Not for a lack of wanting. Heck, I don't don't even play on all the NA servers, but I like the fact that I have the opportunity to do so. That, to me, is a good thing.

    3) This whole discrimination fervor. Sheesh...
I do understand how an identity is important to a person, but sometimes something happens and it can't be helped in anyway shape or form. This apparently is gonna be one of those times.

As stated above, Z & co. are gonna try and see if the changes can be done to the least amount of players. But the reality of it is some EU players are gonna have their Globals changed.

    Finally...
What is happening, overall, is a good thing. let's be grateful for that and not concerned, in the short term (say the next year or two), that the individual servers are gonna be merged, ok?

    Thank you for the time...
  17. Now I'm not a big DD fan myself. I thought the Affleck DD was ok. It on about the same footing as Ghost Rider and that's not saying much.

Do we honestly need another DD movie? I don't think so. I just don't feel it's needed.

    Thank you for the time...
  18. Hall Om Mig - A Princess Tutu AMV
Song is Swedish and a translation can be found here.

I just enjoy this particular AMV. The timing and pacing is very well done.

    Thank you for the time...

    Not a comic but....

    Freakazoid - Because..... well..... FREAKAZOID!!!

    Quite true on both accounts.

Especially if the Pack's origin story is done. Could be done well either Live-action or animated.

Though a couple of other Comic IPs I'd love to see done:

Fred Perry's Gold Digger - Yea, I know Fred has animated the "Time Raft" arc, but this series just screams some type of movie, TV, or OVA adaptation.

Rod Espinosa's Neotopia - The story is solid, but it's the visuals and the alternate world setting that drew me into this tale. This would have to be a multi-part project no matter how it was done.

    Thank you for the time...
  20. Just to be clear, This will be shown on ABC Family (Cable/Satellite), not the regular ABC Network (Regular TV).

    Thank you for the time...
  21. I liked the Q & reply here:

    Quote:
Q: More villain costumes available like seers, praetorian clockwork, or simple street clothes option?
Nate: We've discussed street clothes but they're not "very heroic". You will get some of these villain costume piece in the "near future"
"From now on, when we create new villain groups, some of those parts will be released at the same time."
More on the possibility of getting some of the Seers stuff in. I know a few of my Female Characters that could make good use out of the Seer gloves and boots.

And what's wrong w/more street style stuff. It would go towards more 'street-level' type characters, IMHO...

    Thank you for the time...
  22. Okey....

Makes me glad I never saw the film in the first place.

And yes, that particular bit of music makes that sequence a bit more interesting to watch.

    Thank you for the time...

    Ms. Mystic...

Oh lordy. Liked the concept and the supporting characters. But the delivery... Yesh. I think I stopped after 3 or 4 issues of that.

Maybe it's a good thing I'm not into comics that much any more.

    Thank you for the time...
  24. If anyone is interested, part 2 is up.

Overall, the articles are ok. Nothing rather new or mind-blowing in them.

Other than WW's comment about new GMs. All I would hope for is that they are actual Impressive GMs and not OPed Prae stuff.

    Thank you for the time...
  25. 12:42 CST here.

Just fired up the launcher. No updates to test yet.

And you had to fix the Studio 55 typo, Avatea? It just makes the running jokes early in the thread understandable.

    Thank you for the time...
