Quote:After my first experience with the Purple AV; it was a joy to get Ruladek twice in a row on my two main badgehunters. And so quickly done even at less-than-optimal choices for the redside run (in my case, I lacked the HVAS and my MM was without fitness during that one).Just wanted to offer my thanks again to the people of Union for 2 great runs on the CoP, we got the Red AV both times, however with the number of HVAS and the teams running perfectly against the mobs as directed, we could have taken the Purple in my estimation!!
Apologies for the abrupt redside run and the lack of a recogniseable character to lead on, but it was an impromtu raid led off the back of much rejoicing from the sub 15 minute heroside run!!!
And speaking of redside runs; in my time collecting bases I have a small but very functional base which I'm editing specifically for CoP runs. The raid-tp is only one room shy of the entrance and the control room leads off the teleport room. The highest character I have in the group is only 25 though so if anyone has some free 35-50 characters; you're more than welcome to join and make use of it. -
Probably a bad time to mention I got four of those emails then.

Quote:Hehe, it's really me. I could prove it with another ugly picture of me holding Bob hostage but Bob's staying at Kallandra's atm.Hmmm...
Dear OP...
How do we know you're the real Tyger?
(Hope there wasn't any damage done!!)
Thankfully nothing's missing yet. Obviously the hack was on my master and forced it to lockout. Just in time for Issue 19's launch (with two hours to spare). -
Quote:Actually it's quite sensible in the long-run. Perma-ban and it stops ANYTHING being accessed. The longer they have access, the more they can take from you. Otherwise it means yet more questions on what you had before, more verification, etc. Nothing of mine appears to be missing (yet), all characters there as I remember them. Looks like they were trolling the PlayNC website with false logins.Happened to me Sunday night while I was playing. Obviously I wasn't me at the time.
Just now got my account back a few hours ago.
Totally and utterly ridiculous to perma-ban a 63 month veteran who did nothing wrong. That's what I get for knowing how to play the market I suppose. -

I can only echo the sentiments here: Leslie Neilsen was a fantastic performer. I still laugh at all the Naked Gun moveis today, Airplane and even Spy Hard. I still remember his appearances on Due South as Sergeant Duncan "Buck" Frobisher RCMP.
I will miss him a lot. -
Not online yet for the EU. Still getting 'no response'. But then I'm not expecting one yet since there's 1 hour and 25 minutes expected to finish

Quote:Not surprising, given the persistence of some people. I recently had an attack on my Gmail which made me change the password for that as well. What's more surprising is that it's taken six years for them to get this far when I've had the same password. How does this keep happening to people? It's becoming quite worrisome.
Quote:I know when I get the wrong pw warning and i know i typed the right one closing your browser and re opening it helps.Quote:It's not getting logged out of the forums, it's getting your account banned.
And it is happening to people. Apparently, there seems to be some kind of hacking problem. That would be the 'account accessed by a third party' bit.
The main reason I posted this is because CS tend to get more bad press when things go wrong than good press when they go right. Jerom has replied to me again about escalating it should anything be missing when I check my character list. Hopefully it will just be a thanks when the game comes back with Issue 19. -
Well it went from Cyber Monday to Black Monday for me. After finishing a lttle dual-boxing in the early hours of Monday I logged off to go to bed. Then After answering another post about 'Runners' I got logged out of the forum. 'Ah heck, auto-logged again' to paraphrase what I said so I tried to log in again.... invalid password, 1 of 5 attempts used.
Okay, must've typed something wrong, try again.... 2 of 5.... huh? Watch the leyboard this time.... 3 of 5.... 4 of 5.... 5 of 5... definitely right, what's going on? Try the game.... 'this account has been suspended' .... oh no, check the master account... 'Account _____ has been permanently blocked' ....
And so begins my contacting CS to find out just what's going on. Of course, it's late hours of Sunday in the US and the EU support guys won't be in yet either. So I get the auto-response telling me about forgotten passwords and resetting logins.
Then I get a a support mail from Shane who tells me my account was accessed by a third party. Then I get provided with the 'prove its yours' steps. Now I have most of my keys, being a bit of a hoarder, but I don't mess around and provide the keys from every perk, booster and game upgrade I can find in my email (thank you Gmail) as well as the unique account names. I've just got the confirmation that my account has been reset from [b[Jerom[/b] and I'm now back.
So thanks to the support guys for getting me back so quickly and now I have to wait to see if I need their help further in-game.
Oh and people might want to think about updating their master account passwords again, I know I hadn't. -
Alas no, thanks to owning them all already and someone trying to access my account, getting it blocked for the last 48 hours while CS helped me get back on.
Thankfully I did manage to buy the GR comple Collection for my remaining EU account in the early hours from DLGamer.com (only an hour before the figurative hit the provebial fan). -
Quote:Ach, don't remind me. My first instance of fighting Scrapyard we chased him around Sharkhead. I mean he ran from the middle of the buildings south of the PD/monkey arena all the way to the far end of the docks at the NE tip. We eventually managed to lock him into a smaller loop round one of the towers and defeat him but it just gets irritating the more often it happens. At least GMs. It's irritating to chase a GM around half the map just because he happens to have a debuff on him (I'm looking at you, Ghost of Scrapyard and Deathsurge!).
I attacked a Cimeroran Minotaur E-B on my troller and he ran on the first hold. No other mob around him, he was solo and he ran like a chicken on the partial castle map (with all those lovely canyon drops). After ten minutes of widdling his health down he took one final pot-shot and I dropped the mission soon after with a 'F-this-S' and I've ignored the blueside Cimeroran missions since.
I loathe and despite 'Runners', every last one of them. -
The first of the EU offers has started. So I thought I'd help out by detailing my purchase experience.
Going Rogue Complete Collection - £8.99/9.99
You need to register at the site (fairly quick, basic info like name, address, email, etc.) and then you get a welcome email in your inbox. The GR offer is up on the front page and there is a catch: limited one per customer. Once I 'purchased' it came up as reaching the limit for this item which was 1.
When you go to the payment screen it will be a French banking site, CIC bank which is handling the payments. It uses VISA and Mastercard secure so you might need your SecureVISA/Master password.
Once the payment has cleared (in my case, almost instantly but they warn you it could be up to ten minutes) you recieved two emails from DLGamer, one is your payment receipt, the other has your serial key. You can also access it at DLGamer too via your account page which has the serial key email details attached to the order number which are clearly listed for you.
So a nice and simple transaction and I hope that helps with anyone who's thinking of buying it today. -
Quote:Just like real life then. From the original description of what infamy and influence were -- a measure of your ability to get people to provide you with assistance (i.e., enhancements or salvage or recipes) because of your reputation in the community, whether for good or ill (i.e., redside, it's through intimidation -- they do it because they're scared of you), I've never understood why you earned influence or infamy in AE missions. It seems to me that diving into your electronic navel, although it may be realistic enough for you to improve your skills with your powers, does nothing to increase your respect or fear in the community, and it certainly does nothing for the prestige of your SG. "xXxBlazingBoltxXx? He's that 'hero' who spends all his time running virtuals over in the AE building, isn't he? I've never heard of him taking down so much as a single Hellion or Skull; save your adulation for someone who's actually helped protect Paragon City."

Quote:I was bemused on Freedom last night when I saw two RMT'ers arguing with each other at the Wentworth's in Atlas on Freedom. Each was talking about how their service was better than their competitor's. One went so far as to reveal that their competition was scamming the Chinese government by underrreporting their earnings.
I reported them as spammers and went on with my business after I got done processing the absurdity of it all.Quote:Ok Lightfoot...that is actually really hilarious!
RMT at its most absurd right there.
I mean, it is kind of weird because you just picture these people as log in, spam message, log out kind of deal...but to actually have a tit-for-tat arguement between them just makes it both hilarious AND kind of sad. -
Quote:And since there's a fixed amount of xp from 1 to 50 it's easy enough to draw a few lines (divive the cumulative by 3, 4 or 5) so that you can only earn a set amount within 24 hours.I'm with Bill on this. I think GG was the first person who proposed the "5 levels of AE XP in a day" (at least that I saw), and in the past I would have been annoyed with such a solution, but at this point, after everything else the AE has gone through, it's about the only thing left that makes sense.

Xmas is on a Saturday this year...
... *wink-wink* -
And now I remember why - I used right-click to run as administrator instead of setting it as a compatibility default. It is now working as before so just a brain-fart on my part >.<

Maybe that wonderful new DRM system finally had to be paid for

Quote:Forum access works, thank youI synchronized your forum and CIT passwords to your CIT password. Give it a shot now.
Also, you might have to clear your cookies for the tracking and everything to work. If all else fails, hit F2 and try logging out and back in.
I just logged in and didn't have any trouble. Are other people having any issues? (Are other people not?) If I've hosed something up, I definitely want to fix it!
I did a cookie-cleanout last night when I did the reset my password, just to be sure. No change yet but I'll try again tonight. -
Aside from my faces profile not working (probably because there's already a Tyger on there) I'm having trouble logging into the titan forum. I used the password reset which worked for the cit but the forum still won't accept it. The Sentinel also doesn't want to track my characters atm either.

The two Nighthunter Mercs did as they were told and left with Tomb's body. When they reached the shores, they looked skywards and flew after the chopper, rocket-boots propelling them forth. They boarded the aircraft and saw that everyone else was already waiting inside. Without much ado, the whole machine vanished.

Quote:Given that I just counted I have 101 characters on Union alone plus another 50-odd spread around EU and US severs; yes, no and sort-of.Does anybody else have a character who isn't in line for the IF respec rebuild?
Yes - a lot of characters I made went for my own style of even-con building: Powers up to level 10, 12 and 14 for travel power and then 16-20 fitness leaving the rest of the choices for whatever I wanted. A lot of them did this becuase I wanted them to be playable without downtime and it works quite well for my playstyle of -1 -> 0 con enemies. I've already respec'd several that I don't play as often. This includes my grav/psi dom who'd had fitness respec'd in.
No - Some characters I have are either so low they have yet to choose fitness, are a regen/willpower or are my concept characters who went without like my empath and my MM's main build as well as my all-natural archer who doesn't have a travel power either. They'll get it as a bonus and keep their 'classic' builds.
Sort-of - My main badger has been built to play in a way I've got used to and has set bonuses which are right for me. So I'll just be respecing his main build to swap pool-fitness for the medicine pool so it'll give him a rez and healing power and either aid-self or stimulant so he can get peeps out of a mez Dispersion Bubble doesn't protect against.
Since I have so many I'll only be respeccing them as and when I get round to them. I'm actually playing my BS/SR scrapper who's had hurdle respec'd out ready for i19.
Quote:I'm not sure what powers I'd give my Masterminds in the place of Fitness, so those might sit while I ponder it.
EDIT: To those saying "I never had Fitness, so I get it free" or "I'm low enough I don't need to respec", you will need to respec if you want Inherent Fitness. You gain it at level 2, and if you're over level 2, you don't get a change until you respec. -
Quote:And taking a page from Forbin's book; that £2 sale is 'Used - Very Good' which means you're just buying for the comics. There is a £2.99 new edition not that far below it though. Amusingly the Collector's CoV is on there for £6.16£2 here at Play.com. The Collector's Edition is also available from Amazon.co.uk for a mere £3.65.
