Most of these posts are kind of hypocritical.
Your mostly upset that players are now making the game easy on themselves by leveling up quickly in AE.
It's hypocritical because the real reason your upset is because you want to make the game easier by inviting players on your task force team that know what they're doing instead of just teaching someone how to play and informing them.

Now that's some pretty warped logic right there... -

I was never really a fan of hazard zones in the first place, so I don't miss not having them red-side one bit. -

I don't see what the fuss is, personally. With one exception ( Flight's Air Superiority for Peacebringers ), the pool power attacks are available to everybody...

Technically, it's two exceptions: Warshades can't take that power either.

One power, not one build. -

I want my good Mastermind to summon scouts.
Tier 1 is cub scouts, Tier 2 is boy scouts, Tier 3 is eagle scout.
I'd street sweep helping the elderly cross the street ALL DAY!

I could see someone making Michael Jackson in a heartbeat if that ever happened.
....Too soon to start joking about him again? To be fair, I don't believe the charges that were brought against him, and I was never a fan of his. But, it is one of the things people joke about most often regarding him. -

Funny how people are debating the evilness of robots when we have undead MM pets to worry about. Or the upcoming Demon Summoning set.
"Yes, I let them eat human brains... but only for good."
But then again, I'm the poster boy for good zombies.
[/ QUOTE ]
Anti-heroes. Their zombies only eat the brains of the bad guys. -
[ QUOTE ]
What's inherently evil about regular robots?
[/ QUOTE ]
I was wondering that myself. Also, why would they get PPD drones? It's not like villain 'bots MMs get Arachnos drones... -
Not much on giving specifics, but I do know that $3k will get you a damn good gaming rig. >< Half that will get you a pretty good system for gaming, even.

The correlation is simple: Their original vision of bosses being un-soloable doesn't mean that they weren't supposed to spawn normally in missions to begin with since AVs which were definitely meant to be unsoloable spawned in missions.
The change for bosses downgraded to LTs was a consession to the fact that some people - not specific ATs or builds - couldn't solo bosses and/or didn't like the level of challenge involved in doing so. -
I remember the no Lt's bug... But not bosses spawning in their place. Just missions full of nothing but minions and the occasional scripted boss/Lt.

Well, it had been a while, and I noticed I had endurance reduction enhancments in place but it wouldn't take them, maybe my stalker won't suck (endurance) so much after all
[/ QUOTE ]
Stalkers rock now. They have a base crit chance out of hide, higher damage modifier now, better defenses, and more health. While health/defense/damage modifiers are still a bit below scrappers, their AS abilities more than make up for the difference. -

Okay I'm confused. What is the new behavior?
Once I've clicked up passed difficulty one, I've always had bosses spawn in the missions, it's the whole reason to go up a difficulty level. 1 boss 2 lts, or 1 boss 4 minions. What is new?
[/ QUOTE ]
Not solo, you haven't. Not unless they were in "scripted" spawns. Before now, that's the only time bosses would spawn solo. -

(on a side note, someone pass the word to the devs to turn xp off in AE and make a bigger cap in tickets, plz. I hate the farms.)
[/ QUOTE ]
No. Just no. Some people actually like leveling through AE and -don't- farm. Remove the xp and I guarantee you the thing will be almost completely unused. -

I'm sorry, but you're citing a lack of "game loving devs" based on PvP changes you don't like? News flash for ya, kid... PvP is pretty much just an afterthought. The "game" is the PvE part.

Hey, remember, AVs used to spawn in missions while solo before difficulty settings. Now that only happens at the max diff.
[/ QUOTE ]
I was responding to the possibility that bosses were supposed to work this way all along. AV spawning behavior has been explicitly changed several times, so we know for a fact that how it works now isn't how it was all along.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, what we know is that how AV spawning behavior works now isn't how it was originally supposed to work. We don't know that how bosses spawn now isn't how it was originally supposed to work, though. The original AV spawning rules I would think hints that it's not impossible that it -is- how it was supposed to work all along. -

b) this is actually how boss spawns were supposed to work in the first place, and it's actually been broken all this time.
[/ QUOTE ]
This one seems incredibly unlikely given the original stance on bosses not being intended to be soloable (lol). However, anything seems possible.

As I said in the prior discussion of this, I love the change. Not for anti-farming purposes, but because I -like- fighting bosses, and seeing them spawn when solo more than just the "scripted" bosses is awesome. If it is an anti-farming measure, it's the kind I can wholeheartedly approve of. One that doesn't screw over the honest players as well as the farmers.

Hey, you know, I hear there's this special salvage.....
-
As long as you're not gaining any benefit from it and it's not interfering with others playing the game, it should be fine.

Pretty sure BAB said they fixed it - but forgot to change one last bit from "0" to "1" or some such.
Kinda like filling the hot tub up, but then forgetting to re-connect the disconnect and noticing it isn't working a few hours later.

Thanks for the helpful hot tub analogy. My nearly 20 years of professional software engineering experience had a hard time figuring this situation out otherwise.

*Boggles* Okay, reading this after my above post, I am just baffled as to how you can't understand how little slips on non-critical issues manage to get through... They happen all the time, even in the best teams. Selective blindness and expectations that are too high, perhaps? I'm not going to call you a liar, but I don't see how someone with 20 years of experience in the field and is looking at things truly objectively can say the things you've said. -
[ QUOTE ]
Yeah and the fact that the Devs have to apparently "refix" trivial things like this multiple times is really a stellar example of their software engineering competence isn't it? Please, it's hardly the first time -that- kind of thing has happened as well.
[/ QUOTE ]
Never worked in software development, have you? "trivial things" like that happen all the damn time. Given that emotes aren't exactly a critical issue, they don't likely get the scrutiny that more important issues get. -

Don't see how it's any less "funny" or "cute" than being turned into a pumpkin. *shrug* 'course, from my experience, you live to complain about everything possible, so that weighs into things a good deal. -
Appeal it. The chat filter doesn't even block "damn" or any variations thereof, and we pretty much all know that the chat filter is overly sensitive most of the time.

Again, expansion is not an issue and an issue is not an expansion. Of course, when CoV came out, an issue was released to lay the groundwork for it at the same time, but the point still stands.
