Quote:No, I wouldn't pay. It's the sort of thing that should come for free, frankly. Of course, I think the same about the super tailor access. That's something that damn well should have been available at the tailor from the day it first went in for free.Figured this was a question worth asking/discussing. I think its a thing that is pretty much wanted across the board, but it's becoming painfully obvious at this point that if it's not something that can't be gated behind being a VIP or cost PPs, and isn't a game balance issue, it's not going to get dev time at this point.
I guess personally, it'd depend on the price. I was pretty annoyed with the fact the Super Tailor came bundled in an add-on pack purchase, and even with the Freedom Launch, think it's still overpriced and have not purchased it yet. So the question is, would you pay? And if so, how much is the cut off point? -

Honestly, I agree. Compared to 0 solo threads before, I can't complain. They never said the solo path would be even remotely close to as efficient as the trial path. The fact that it IS available, no matter how slow, is a vast improvement over how it was previously. And it damn well -SHOULD- be slower. This is an MMO, as people seem to often forget... That doesn't mean you -have to- team, but it does mean teaming will be the best way to get the big stuff. Remember, this is coming from a pretty avid soloer.

Best answer to the subject line? Alignment merits. Seriously, the ability to hop between Paragon and the Isles is NOT compensation enough for losing those valuable little cookies.

Bug-free update won't happen even if they spend 10 years on it. Anyone with any experience with ANY MMOs ( or games in general ) should know that by now.

Quote:DOn't want it, don't buy it. It's that simple. Quitting over it is absurd, IMO.People paid for the other vanity pets? And can I ask, as a returnee, why there's a frisbee power mentioned in the launcher as well? What the hell is that about?? I'm enjoying the game, but I'm beginning to recall one of the main reasons I'd left in the first place, the plethora of overpriced crap which kept appearing in the store.

Quote:Is it a new mechanic or just a new application of an existing mechanic? There are already ways to block powers from being used...The question we need to keep in mind is 'what is this changed mechanic intended to be used for later?' I don't think Inner Inspiration in itself is enough to devote developer time into creating an entirely new recharge mechanic. No other power acts this way... yet. What will in the future?
If this was incarnate powers would it only be 'mildly disappointing'? I don't think so. -
Quote:As a VIP, they kinda already have it.EDIT: I guess most of the value I care about already comes with the subscription. Which is fine, I guess. Just feeling left out. Marketing it not gunning for my wallet.
Their primary target with the marketplace are the non-subscribers who are otherwise just a resource drain.

Quote:Power sets are a HELL of a lot more time consuming to create than costumes, emotes, and so on. They require more art and animations PLUS the time needed to balance and debug them. And, to the OP.... March is getting a lot more than Beast Mastery. March also got the Darkness control and assault sets and might be getting Staff Fighting before it's over.Though I agree some things should be free for all, like finishing power customization, the market should try to cater to those of us that don't care about vanity items.
Some of us just like punching people in the face hard. Not looking good while doing it.
Anyway, this game is at least 3/4 about vanity items. What do you expect? You want less focus on that, you're playing the wrong game.

I do understand complaints about it not being documented, however.

Quote:To be honest, I was pretty surprised when I saw that it spit out large inspirations. I expected mediums at best. I wouldn't say it was game-breakingly good, but it did seem too good to be true for sure. On the other hand, the nerf isn't game-breaking either. We all did just fine without the power, it still provides a benefit, just not the instant you log in if you logged out right after using it before. When a power is brokenly good, I think most people recognize it, even if all don't state it openly. When such a power subsequently changes, such people likely think of it exactly in the terms you're mentioning. I'm not seeing many people in this thread think this power was brokenly good. I find it hard to believe there was such a standard intended "from the start".

*Shrug* I dunno, I don't get why it's such a big deal. Hell, most of the time, I forget to ever even use the power or have my inspiration tray full already when I log in. My biggest benefit from it is getting T3 inspirations on a new character and being able to dump them on the AH for a fair chunk of change for a level 1.

Quote:Nope, not seeing it.The Inner Inspiration vet reward appears to have been changed. Now, when I log in the power is greyed out for about 5 minutes. It doesn't matter if I've just used it on another character and switched or if I've been logged off for days. It's greyed out upon login for about 5 minutes.
I spent a token on this and am unhappy. Is anyone else seeing this?
Edit: Reading the responses, I suppose it may be that I haven't logged out with it still charging yet. -
Quote:Yeah, same here. That does make for quite a lovely setup.I have the ATIO Proc in AS. When I hit someone from hide with it, my MA/Nin Stalker disappears, only to nail another target with Cobra Strike or Crippling Axe Kick (Not yet in possession of Crane Kick or Eagle's Claw).
It is delicious. -
Quote:Nah, they did that. They just call 'em Brutes now.Indeed. They did great work on Stalkers.
I look forward to the day the devs finally make the Tanker "a devastating hand to hand combatant" that "dishes out all sorts of damage" with a "powerful, but not exceptionally quick, offensive punch".
Because, you know, that's gonna happen.

Quote:That's true. Only thing I honestly hate about the arc is the curing the Lost part. It's time-consuming and dull, specifically because of the recharge time on the wand and the number of Lost that need to be cured.A soon as you get the mission to go to Cimerora, you become a midnighter automagically, rendering the point moot.
Aside from the fact that the arc is trivially easy at level 10, you don't even have to do it if you choose to go through Dark Astoria instead.
Quote:got brutally slaughtered over and over and over and over by the mapful of Nerva Spectra Daemons and Ruin Mages (yay for running it at level 20 >.<)
I think by "through Dark Astoria" he meant getting access by getting the mission there that sends you to Cim. Still have to get to Cim the normal way.
