I think the whole thing looks awesome. Skipping cut scenes, woo!
-
It was ok at first but the power activation lag got annoying.
-
Yeah I know that longbow attack the voids which is why I was particularly surprised how well the voids and policebringers coexisted.
-
I just got a tip mission full of PPD Awakened, Unleashed, et cetera and the Void Hunters seemed to get along with THOSE Kheldians pretty well. I wonder why that would be?
-
Oh, ok.. Yeah I skipped that power anyways. I'm a self serving kheldian.
-
So far, the only real issue I have with my human only PB is the knockback. It's abundant and obnoxious. That, and the fact that it isn't my warshade.. A Kheldian foot stomp is very cool indeed though. I wish it worked with combat flight, but otherwise, I support that fully.
That being said-
Healing Flames
You can concentrate for a few moments to heal yourself. The power of the flames can also protect you from Toxic Damage for a while.
Recharge Long
Minimum Level 4 (Brute)
4 (Scrapper)
2 (Tanker)
Effects Self Heal, +Resistance(Toxic)
And the Black Dwarf has a self heal also. Warshades are superior, end of story. -
Quote:As for the mez protection I use clarion destiny on my shade and it gets the job done perfectly. Clickable in forms, too...what's sad is that PB Nova form isn't even the most damaging form. The human form is. So what's the point of PB Nova form besides limiting you from using useful powers like healing, build up and others?
is well designed.
I agree with the part I quoted here 100% though, after playing a warshade I wanted a PB too. I struggled with him as human/nova up to 20, took dwarf thinking it would round me out, and just hated playing him even more. I respeced over to all human and I'm extremely glad I did..
There are just no benefits to be had from the forms on a PB in my opinion- They don't buff each other like the warshade forms. All they seem to do is drop my toggles and limit my attacks... All human has been very fun to play though, I'm about 2 bars from 30 right now and it's probably my favorite lowbie to play. -
I would like to join on my shade but he doesn't have seer pets, he has warworks. Fully level shifted though, t3 void judgement, t3 clarion, and t3 reactive interface. Send a tell to @Septipheran whenever this goes down. I already have Synchronized.
-
I stuck with the original plan... I was trying to make a build with high defense that was perma eclipsed and also playable...
-
I've been playing with this more and I was able to get 30.1% s/l defense, 35% melee defense, and 105% in recharge bonuses without sacrificing any key powers or their functionality. It's not soft capped but it's pretty close and I can't think of any better way to practically build for defense.
edit number one: I got up to 33.8% s/l defense but recharge dropped to 168.75% with perma hasten.

edit number two: Here is another version that is a bit of a stretch but I would still deem it playable. I don't have ninja or beast run, but if I did I would swap out super speed for stygian return and move the stealth proc over to sprint. This build has 39.4% s/l defense and 168.75% recharge with perma hasten. I wish there were more slots to go around for the nova blasts but with mires they should still be efficient enough.

Vengeance carries over to forms doesn't it? I never said 85% resistance was all you needed, just that softcapping defense didn't seem necessary with it taken into account.
Right now I have 18.62% s/l defense, and it's going to go up to 25.5% when I have the inf. to finish my build up which I think is plenty.
-
That looks horrible. >< No mire? No unchain essence? No quasar? No dark extraction? Defense is not worth that many sacrifices.
The build I'm working my way into as my funds allow is going to land me with 25.5% s/l defense, 28.9% melee defense, a crap load of recharge and no missed essential powers. With capped resistance you shouldn't really even NEED to soft cap your s/l defense without vengeance. If you're playing your warshade right, you have the difficulty on at least +2x8 which means that someone else who isn't a warshade is going to die and you can hit vengeance.
http://www.cohplanner.com/mids/downl...02FE01B2A9EE37 -
I have 175% global recharge with perma hasten so far and I haven't finished building my purple sets yet, but I have about 20% s/l defense, softcapped with vengeance. I'll be able to get it up even higher when I get more purple sets because I can spec and stand to lose a couple of 5% rech bonuses for more defense and not lose any global rech.

On the big U-Stream marathon chat while global server access was being implimented, one of the animation artists was taking questions and myself and several others (I noticed Dechs in there) consistently asked about Kheldian color customization. I first asked about shortened animations for form shifting, but eventually gave up on that and figured we could at least take color customization as a consolation prize...
They wouldn't even respond to THAT, though. It's really surprising to me that Khelds get so neglected. It's not like the warshade and peacebringer community are asking to be made uber or superior in any way to other AT's, just on par. I enjoy playing my Khelds and I feel like they deserve to be on par with the rest of the builds in the game.
Heck, the Dev's wouldn't even have to come up with ideas or worry about the math.. The players have already done that for them. We want uninterrupted form shifts, a damage buff for Peacebringers, a status protection autopower (nothing huge, just something.. I took the total clarion and it's currently at t3. I don't like that I have to waste one of my incarnate power choices for something I should already have in the first place while everyone else is using theirs to become even more uber.)
And for the love of god, please let us change the color of our powers.. I would probably never even bother because I think they look great how they are but it would just be a sign that the Dev's realize that we still exist. -
I liked Fahrenheit 451 but I'm not very prone to organizing anything.. I enjoy participating in understated vague events though so sign me up for whatever it is that I'm signing up for.
-
The first day I ran trials which was only a couple of weeks ago I got two very rares, so figuring they dropped like candy I downgraded them into rares to help get my t3's moving. I've been kicking myself for it ever since, because I've only seen one VR drop after doing several trials a day. My experience tells me that if you blunder your way through them and die a lot, you'll get better drops than when you start to get a handle on what you're doing.
-
Speaking of Kheldian power bugs, I've been working on leveling up my all human PB and I noticed that about 50-60% of the time, the animations for radiant and incandescent strike just.. don't play. I mean, the sound effect happens, and the damage works normally, but I don't move at all. It's extremely annoying and I do not like it one bit.
-
My 50+1 warshade is tri form and I have never even considered dropping Nova or Dwarf. Slotting is harder on other characters in my opinion because if they want resistance they have to build for it, while with a perma eclipsed warshade I'm always at 85% for all. With dwarf and human mires, I can be at the 300% damage cap and then blast away in Nova like there's no tomorrow when my nukes aren't up. Losing Dwarf would take away alot of my damage output and losing Nova would be losing my highest damage attack chain.
I have a Peacebringer in the 20's that was originally tri form and I was struggling with him, but I just decided to switch over to a human form build and it's working a lot better for me. Since the forms don't buff each other like on a warshade and there are lots of good damage attacks in human form, it didn't make sense to keep dwarf because now I can just pick up toggles and not worry about them dropping whenever I switch. -
I just recently found that you can access Praetoria through Pocket D, so I brought my Warshade through to get some event and exploration badges. I spoke to Praetor White just out of curiosity and he wouldn't give me a mission.
This was a couple of days ago, and I just brought my Warshade over to redside for the first time in a while so I decided to go through my inactive contacts to look for uncompleted villain arcs. I found that Praetor White was listed as an inactive contact even though he wouldn't give me missions, and that Allison King was showing Praetor White's image.
This obviously isn't a huge deal or anything, but I just thought I'd share. -
Ah, I forgot all about this. I would absolutely participate with the warshade I signed up originally if you found a way to continue.. I've actually done a few incarnate trials with you if you remember.
-
I am experiencing the blocked door bug currently in pt 4 of the Transmuter arc.
Server: Liberty Zone/Mission: IOM_IMPERIAL_ROOFTOP 150.6 -1535.3 -1366.5
I sent in one petition to stuck and another to technical issues with the information requested in this thread. I am currently waiting on the mission map for assistance.
Edit: GM_Jardan was just able to help me out by completing the mission for me. When asked if that resolved the issue, I replied that the mission had been completed but the bug was still there. I also linked this thread in my original report and mentioned that lots of others seemed to be having the issue but the only response I got after the auto-complete was "thanks for contacting support, bye"
-
Oh yeah I chain gun pets off Nightstar for the escaped prisoners phase.. I feel like a Mastermind with my 3 Fluffies and Lore pets
99% Of the time, I'm the only Warshade on the trials I run. I've taken to teleporting from spawn to spawn in the beginning stages of both for optimal eclipse/mire's.
Pyro, what characters of yours might I recognize? If you've been doing trials on Protector lately, chances are I have run into you at some point. -
Quote:The one part of your guide I haven't been able to match into my play style is your tray arrangements :/ I have my Nova powers in tray two, my dwarf powers in tray 3, my incarnate powers/vengeance/ouro portal in tray 4, and my human powers in tray 1. I actually use the default setup of alt+1-0 for tray two powers and ctrl+1-0 for tray 3 powers. You can't execute that many powers with a single keybind.
To do that, however, I would press the following keys.
E > E > Alt+E > Q
The first E puts me in dwarf, the second queues up Dwarf Mire. Alt+E drops out of dwarf and executes Human Mire, and Q puts me in nova.
I use 'p' to drop out of dwarf and hit stygian circle, and 'o' to drop out of Nova to hit stygian circle. I use 'l' to target the nearest dead enemy for unchain essence. I also use the 'shift' teleport bind.
I'm going to look up a bind to drop from Dwarf and execute human mire, much like the drop out of dwarf and hit stygian circle one I'm already using if there's no one key double mire.
edit: I just found this in the stickied binds thread
Quote:The TRUE Double Mire!
That's right - there's a true one. It's a double mire that you can execute with JUST ONE KEYSTROKE! Using this bind:
/bind [key] "powexecauto Sunless Mire$$powexecname Black Dwarf Mire$$powexectoggleoff Black Dwarf$$gototray 1"
you will immediately drop to human form and perform BOTH mires at the same time.
BIG OL' HONKIN' CAVEAT!! This bind will put Sunless Mire on auto fire, meaning that it will fire automatically every time it charges. It works in this bind because it merely sets Sunless Mire to auto fire, which then fires all on its own when dwarf form is toggled off.
Now the powexec_auto command toggles the autofire mechanism on and off, meaning that the second time you hit the bind it will only toggle the autofire on Sunless Mire off, and Sunless Mire won't fire.
In short, if you hit it once, make sure you hit it again before you jump back up into dwarf form. Just note one more thing, however - don't double-tap the key in rapid succession, or you'll only get one mire. YMMV. -
Especially when your survivability depends on one of them ><
-
This is pretty off topic, but does anyone know if there's a functional key bind out there to start in human form > dwarf > dwarf mire> human mire and end up in Nova?
