Quote:Ok, so on Sunday, August 21st at 5pm PDT/8pm EDT I'll be running the Laylapalooza edition of Strike Force Sunday. It'll be a Master attempt at Barracuda (level 45+) followed by a mini costume contest.
- The contest has a 100+mil inf reward.
- There is only 1 winner, this is survival of the fittest.
- There's no particular theme but here's a short list of rules:
- Cannot use orange
- Must use Booster pack costume pieces
- No catgirls
- Wings required
- Must be subtle
- Cannot use Booster pack costume pieces
- Must be obviously evil
- Cannot use black
- Cannot use red
- Must include prime colors
- The player whose costume breaks the most rules will win.
- You may bribe/flatter me for extra points as well as using slander on your opponents to lower their points.
- Bribes can be in the form of inf/recipes/salvage and will be added to the reward.
Hey, Zaloopa, how does a Hydraulic Piston sound? Eh, eh? -
Quote:Had the same issue.. try this, open the launcher, click on the upside down triangle next to Cit of heroes. You should have a list that drops down. Click on repair. See if that works.
I tried repairing and it led me back to the same message. I exited and restarted the launcher the second time (the first time there were no changes) and I was able to download the patch. I just launched, and am able to load everything normally. -
Just posted in the other thread as I was having the same issue. Now it seems there is a patch available for me to update to.
-
Same problem here- Tried to repair but got the same message.

Quote:I was under the impression that the Dark Extraction bug DID get fixed, based on reading the first bit of this thread.so extracted essence bug doesn't get fixed, essence drain doesn't get fixed, photon seekers doesn't get fixed, solar flare doesn't get fixed, and pulsar doesn't get fixed, and the animation times don't get fixed.
The Kheldian specific IO's look totally silly. and mostly useless. A damage boost in Nova won't help Warshades very often, since we spend so much time at our damage cap already. Damage Resistance? Are you kidding me? You just gave us Perma LF and we already have Perma Eclipse. Most of the people who are serious enough about their Kheldians (the kinds of people you should be keeping in mind when tailoring Enhancements to the AT) will have little to no use for extra Resistance. The extra HP in Dwarf sounds nice, granted... But majorly disappointing overall. The highlight of this set is the 8.75% recharge bonus for 5 slots, assuming that the enhancements themselves have good stats.
Also, since PB's and Warshades are not the same AT I am assuming Scrappers, Brutes, and Tanks will all be sharing the same "Attack of the Melee" enhancements, and Defenders, Corruptors and Controllers will be getting "Power of the Support class," right? There's no chance that Kheldians would be shortchanged here. Or is it that everybody knows PB's play just like Warshades.. Just like Scrappers play just like Tanks. :| -
Luminarious got from 46-49, and got to 50 today.

Quote:If you build enough recharge for perma light form you should have no problems maintaining a fluent ranged attack chain in Nova form.
The brightsquid is still hampered by the lack of a full melee or full ranged attack chain
I think we all agree that these buffs are not enough to bridge the gap, but they are definitely a step in the right direction. -
heh, Lumi is two bars from 50 so he will be coming along for at least one to finish his xp earning off.

Woo, so I can bring Lumi for one and Sep for the other.
Kheldians are taking over Protector.
-
Question-- I might have overlooked where this was mentioned but you seem to have the all Kheldian TF scheduled for Sunday. Is this going to be in addition to the special edition of Kheld Friday?

Quote:BTW, did you even read my post? I said I've read through that guide several times but still had questions it didn't answer.
I know, I read that part of your post but I just thought it was funny because I felt like it pretty well addressed the issue you were having. When Eclipse isn't recharged, utilize your stuns to help keep you alive. When it comes to how to use your forms, a big part of the guide is devoted to addressing exactly that. It is a tri-form guide after all. -
Quote:Indeed it could. It's one of the reasons I don't put much value on mez protection. I learned how to deal with it on all things non-protected before I ventured into melee characters.
Warshades just happen have a great many tools that can help.
Every set has its' Niche, there's always a way to mitigate Mez, and sure the Warshade has some very reliable tools for doing so, but the Warshade also needs to be right in the thick of everything-- We are not Blasters who can hover in the distance and avoid aggro at all costs, because being surrounded by enemies is what helps us do what we do best: Destroy them and stay alive and well in the process.
Especially on a tri form build, Inky Aspect has a long, rooted animation that toggles off every time we shift... Not to mention shifting forms takes time, Unchain Essence is on a long recharge (even on a high recharge build,) and Gravitic Emanation/Nebulous form aren't the most ideal powers to use whenever you can... I think that the Clarion Destiny ability makes a HUGE difference in performance. Sure, you can play effectively without it, but (at least for me) having that status protection makes a huge difference. -
If a spot ends up being open, I would like to join you on my Peacebringer.
-
Quote:I'd like to argue that a Warshade also gets mez protection from any combination of Gravity Well, Gravitic Emanation, Inky Aspect, Nebulous Form, or Dark Extraction with some intelligence.
It's true that phasing yourself and mezzing/killing enemies protects you from being mezzed, but that argument could be applied to any powerset/AT. -
Stalemate was working for the Warshade team- He got the star, went AFK, and gave our evil counterparts a head start.
-
Especially through the lower levels I felt like my blaster was the best soloer. You'll fill out your attack chain faster than any other AT and if you're soloing on the standard +0x1 survivability shouldn't be an issue, since Blasters kill so quickly. I find that leveling up Melee's don't start to feel comfortable until SO level because you have to worry about slotting toggles, managing endurance, etc. without enough slots to do much with.

Quote:Cool, I forgot I had posted it here. I had like 50 builds in my downloads folder that I deleted the other day.You posted the build. I only changed three things...
I dropped the Dam/End in Hecatomb and Ragnarok and replaced them with an Achilles -res proc. I also dropped the Dam/End in Armageddon and replaced it with a Fury of the Gladiator -res proc. The (most recent) "final" build I made for Sep has the fury of the gladiator -res proc in black dwarf Mire.
-
Very nice, buddy. IN White Dwarf, at that.
Are you using the -res procs in your dwarf attacks? I don't think I have your PB build anymore. -
I would like to see a feature in the near future that lets us create vouchers for incarnate salvage. I have a character with three very rares he has no use for that could be used on another.... Does anyone know if this has been brought up before?
-
Quote:Then argue for fixing pulsar. Don't over do it on lightform when your real problem is with the underperforming mez. Plus, wouldn't you rather have a slightly reduced res value in order to gain some psi? And again you would still be able to hit 85% with either shields or dwarf; no one is trying to take that away.
Also, it'd be nice if you could leave the snark out of your comments in a discussion like this.
