reverberating aura should be replaced with Siren's song foe sleep -dam. Because they are effected by the song, they have less desire to fight, causing them to put less effort into fighting.
Or, if you want to keep reverberating aura. it should give a +def not resistance. Like bats evade obsticles with the sounds bouncing off objects, they avoid them.
This power would be useless against ghosts and other spirits too. no bonus due to no material object to bounce off. -
Quote:Though, missions (even if they could be started with only one person, which I don't agree with) would still spawn based on required players 4-8 or just 8 with applicable AVs. The whole point of soloing them.Oh, I agree. I think the minimum is mostly silly anyway. Most of the mission arcs warn you when you're going to be facing an EB/AV by hinting that you should gather a team, you could just as easy give TFs the same warning while lowering the minimum to 1 on all of them.
The XP bonus idea just came to mind when thinking of ideas on how to get people out of DFB, and to get solo queuers into the action faster in all LFG activities. -
Besides, the gull still tells you defeat information ... as far as what av you have / haven't defeated. In all truth the only reason half you guys like the gull, is because he makes it so you can choose against the affects you don't like. For others ... he's just cute.
In any case, they need to update the AVs defeated option anyways, having to pick each one individually is frustrating. It makes me want to feed the gull some pepto :P -
Thanks Snow.
this lays the whole thing to rest. This wasn't how it sounded in text :P

Quote:I still think that, if a player chooses, they can still lock out people from joining, even if they're below the number of required players. I know people would still want to do solo TFs and should have the right to do/try them.Agreed with everything in the OP. A bonus to XP/Inf/Shards/Threads for taking along people who didn't join as a pre-formed group would be nice as well. Not something that ruin it for SGs, but, say, 3 out of an 8 person TF being public entrants for the maximum bonus would be fair, that allows 5 friends to play together, and is probably sufficient to tailor your group to a mastery run as well.

The problem with those, they aren't open intives for the first __ playes to click [join] in. they still have to send a tell or request an invite. That, and it's only open to the players the channel moderator invited, not everyone. Lastly, it wouldn't have a constant feed of who what teams have availability. The playere made channel is FAR too limited.

It should be listed in contacts [active] [inactive] [detective/broker] [tips] <[SSA]>
under that would be the seven contacts listed (grayed out if F2P and aren't purchased or stating they would need purchased) If you click on them they act like a normal contact, telling you the zone, and already being selected when arriving at the zone. I believe that's what steel is looking for. -
Quote:Unfortunatly, from what I read, it doesn't tell you where the contacts for SSAs are and what LVL they are. Just IF they're unlocked. I still feel OP isn't satisfied in that update.Wish Granted? Check this post asking for feedback on a Issue 21.5 Beta change:
Though, I might have just ready it wrong. -
First step: Add a TF/SF/Trial event option to the chat window. It would show listings of the events that have been started. Example: Twigman is forming positron1 and has 3/8 in team [join]. if you click join you'll auto join team and auto exit if you're in a mission. When someone clicks "join" it auto updates the post.
Second step: Change the TF contacts from saying "you need a team to start this task" to "I have informed my connections that you are looking to take on this task I'll give you the option to start once you have the minimum requirement teammates.
Additions to the TF/SF/Trials should be up to the leader. If players go missing "DC" he should be able to choose to not let random people join. I say this, because if a friend of his/hers DCs and he's waiting for them to get back, it would suck for the slot to be filled and the other person to have to start a whole new TF again. Also, if you join a TF/SF/Trial part of the way through (not starting with them from the beginning. any badges for completing it would not be awarded.)
When selecting to join, it gives on objective (like a mission objective) that tells you to get to the required zone (in this case, steel), so new teammates and noobs know where they're supposed to go to start.
And naturally, you can assemble a team before clicking if you want specific types or friends in the TF. -
It should be like frenzy ... where after a week of being a vigelante/rogue ... you get a long range TP power, not that cheesy PBAoE confuse. They are the only ones the need it.

Quote:I really don't know the day jobs you're suggesting, or he result of achieving said day job, please elaborate. Maybe focus it into a rational/organized thought.Athlete seems simple and generic enough, but be careful not to label it "Pro Athlete." There are rules against players gaining unfair advantages on the field, etc. Seeing a juiced up freakshow character in a baseball uniform with the title "Pro Athlete" would turn more than a few heads. (admittedly, this is hilarious)
Sometimes I wonder why my character can't just grab a flyer from the girl outside the university advertising her sorority. Student or Grad Student or Sorority Girl would all fit. And if you're talking about the Midnighters, I think just about everyone who likes them would love to get the day job of Muggle or Squib. I always saw the Midnighters as the college that Hogwarts kids go to to get a real degree. "Defense against the dark arts" pah! I want to see a class on Psychology of Super Villains.
Simple jobs might also lend themselves to some rp opportunities as well. Groundskeeper (for logging in on a stadium ground level) or Janitor for logging in in a broom closet. And maybe if you get the Shoveler and the Public Speaker badges, you can run for office! lol...
[day job here]: [what day job does]
[how to get it]
Just as an example. -
Quote:all this was before (easily) attainable temp travel and flight powers. Some MMs (I'm not sure about the occasional Controller/Dom) like these powers because they allow them to move their pets with them.
Also, wasn't Group Fly used a lot in the old style Hami-raids?
I had team TP on my stone tank, I TPed the whole team into a mob by accident ... funniest team wipe ever. So many confused dead bodies. -
Maybe we should get to a more important underline issue. Why are "group fly" and "team TP" even still in the game anyway. I've NEVER heard "does anyone have group flight?", or the more important, "Thank God, we needed a teammate with group fly" Just take those out of the power pool all together. Replace them with something useful and cool.
"team TP" should be what I thought it was when I originally saw it, "assemble team".
"group fly" can be replaced with a grant knock back protection or something.
SB should still have a slider to choose the effect speed. RL you can choose to run your fastest, run, jog, walk, give us that option too.
In fact don't connect it to SB directly, I like to use SS+stealth proc to stealth certain missions and hate that I can't control where I'm going ...
Make a toggle and slider in the UI near the TP option it would be an [IN MISSION RUN/JUMP SPEED SUPPRESSION] -
-
The problem with that solution is that ... who want to quit a team, or quit a trial just to change that setting, when it should be part of the UI settings. Also. I'd like the setting to be a slider so I could set the speed I run with SB. I don't mind having a boost to run speed, I just hate how INSANELY fast it is.

I always forget to talk to null, remember when SB is getting me and my team killed, then forget again when the missions over ... I want the option in the UI as well.
On a similarly related note, could we get everything about the UI to be saveable. like location of additional trays and windows. I spend 10 min trying to get it all organised and minutes during game play reorganizing it cause I forget some of the things. -
fire walker: log out while standing in a fire.
Give minor fire resistance. -
Quote:And now I know ... thanks for the info. Not what I was previously informed. That's not how it works. Defenders have better buff/debuff mods than corruptors, who have better mods than blasters. So defenders would have the better debuffs. The whole "primary is better than secondary" is a bad rule of thumb.
-
I like the set and concept. It might be interesting it regrowth and nature's endurance were both like spirit tree. Your body turns into the "spirit tree" and it helps your team as well. A minor buff for teammates though. I am not a big fan of the tier 9 ... But I never take them, so it doesn't matter.

Tell you what Jaz, Just role play that you have no choice in that matter. It's like an identification card. Can you choose what you drivers license looks like ... no? Then why would your hero/villian/vigilante/rogue ID be any different.

Quote:24 is minimum level for respec trials.Well, Catwhoorg, maybe something then you need to do one of two things: re-roll if the character is below level 10, or use your second build.
Thanks for the constructive input!
Though I do like the second build idea.
Besides, The underline discussion is that they need to fix the trial to fit every player. have the next mob spawn before the previous one is done, but they don't attack until the, example: until either there are less than 5 enemies left from the previous mob, or they are attacked. Forces team work and communication, like the I-trials.
another option, add an AV that just watches over the reactor's destruction. if you attack him, the next mob spawns and then the tank would just keep him aggroed or if the AV killed one one person he'd go back to his location. For each hit you do to the AV, the next of the set number of mobs will spawn ... the best player for the AV would be a stalker. -
Quote:Cryo would be a -recharge, and the primary sets (corr/blast) would be higher than secondaries (def)I like the idea that when on standard ammo in DP, piercing rounds does -res. I think that the other ammos(besides fire) should get a useful debuff on it too.
Chem: A moderate -regen
(somewhere around 250%?)
Cryo: A large -tohit
since its the only -tohit power in the set and its slow probably something like:
Defenders: -20%
Corruptors: -15%
Blasters: -10%
(double what 1 attack can do in /dark for the AT)
This would be an easy thing to put into the set. Maybe since this is a simple fix the devs wont ignore it?
The regen debuff is too high, 100 (maybe) could apply. -
-
I can't stand that too. Luckily for me, I rarely buy things that are one time purchases. Just new powersets.
It does need fixed though. Purchases that apply to the whole account and are one ime should be in red after purchased, or removed from your list comepletely. -
