Quote:Fail to drop Marauder in the allotted timeframe. If you have people who don't care/don't know how to look up the Pac grenades under Temp Powers, you'll hit the Enraged wall and have to go kill a crate, hope it falls to someone paying attention, then use it.Excuse my ignorance... but other then the AV running out of the front gate into the street how else can you fail the Lambda?
Ran into that last night, in fact. It was the closest I've been to failing in weeks. We still beat it, but that was wholly a social issue I think, not a skills issue. -
What's really funny is that D seemed full of LAM teams last night. I waited about 15 mins for a BAF to be advertised (no one wanted to do one) before I cashed it in for bed.
Sure, I'll help I'm around from 10pm EDT onward to a bit after midnight. Get more signups for tonight and I'll be there. -
I was logged in for about 2 hours earlier this afternoon (around 3pm to 5pm EDT) without issue.
I'm guessing you're logging in from overseas. This may sound trite, but try opening a trouble ticket with NCSoft. If this is a consistent issue, they WILL get down and run some speedtests with you to the host location in TX (for the US servers at least), see if there's a hiccup somewhere in between you and them.
Good luck. I can't say I experienced what you did in any way, but I sympathize. You might also have better luck in the Tech Issues forum, see if others from overseas are having the same problem you are. -
Quote:I haven't failed a Lambda on a PUG crew since the first week, when everyone was learning the ropes.I never use the LFG tab. I usually stand around pocket D and wait for Lambda teams to announce themselves as LFM. As stated before, none of those attempts have been successful.
I can go over the trial details online if you want, but I'm sure there's a guide somewhere. I think the sticking point is when you don't drop all the ambush doors, and the team ploughs through with over half of them up while not being optimized. For a non-Master run, I'd take the few minutes to kill all the ambush doors (that means working that cylinder in the NE corner to get more acid grenades 'til all the doors are gone). Once the ambushes are gone, Marauder's a piece of cake for the average team.
Sorry to hear that your wins on this are so bad. I usually run around 9pm-1am EST, and those teams have been 100% successful. -
Ugh, I'd LOVE to run this with you guys, but the noon runtime is murder for me.
I'm a maybe to a no, but looking forward to others in the gang here running this with the Triumph crowd.
Cheers, and have a fun run. -

Flag me as a maybe with Gun Father, I think. I'd say yes, but my track record the last month has been abominable.

Quote:The least you could do is send me your Steam ID.I'm horrible at "goodbye" messages, but since I plan on popping in for free weekends and/or events, it shouldn't really be goodbye.
Full sails and gentle wind, my friend. Your voice has been, and will be, missed, but never forgotten. C'mon back to show us how tanned you are after your COH vacation. -

SynakulOne: For a quality thread necro (careful to match the month and day), I award you the following award:

Quote:It's pretty good. It needs a bit of work, but it's got an excellent basis for the auras, costume pieces, etc. See some previous opinions for some of the disparities between M/F costume items, baked in color sets, etc.If you tell this is because the pack is really good Turg. So i will buy it now for sure since i love Steampunk too!!
The decor aura alone makes the pack worth it. Damn pretty, that. -

Just wanna say, I'd really like to take part in this one day, but your time slots SERIOUSLY don't mesh with mine. :P If you ever timeshift to the weekends after 10pm EDT, I'll start paying more attention. GL with the pistolwork!

Quote:First, welcome back. I sorta agree with Laser that the Tech Issues forum is more appropriate, but you're more likely to get applicable responses here. Answering in sequence, and adding own comments at the bottom.I just started back up in this game after being away a few years, I chose to start on a new server (Freedom) because I wanted more groups and my other server seemed really dead.
It was okay at first, but the past week or so the rubberbanding has really been driving me nuts. I find that even during the off-hours (ie: 4am-7am ET on a weekday) when my "Netgraph" is all green I am still rubberbanding.
A few questions:
(1) is it just me?
(2) are there any graphic settings that can cause rubberbanding? my fps is ~60 so I doubt this, but I have to ask.
(3) are the servers located in different places? ie: Which is east coast?
(4) do I get any free server transfers? note this account is 7 years old
1. I really don't have rubberbanding issues unless there's degraded connectivity between me and the server in general; OR, if the server itself is having specific access issues. That sort of instability is abrupt and short-term, as all users would encounter problems on a certain zone, for instance, and gets addressed immediately.
2. Rubberbanding is primarily a symptom of packet quality issues. If you believe this might be an issue, try running the game in safe mode and see if it improves your rubberbanding.
3. The US servers were all relocated to Texas some time ago. Consequently, the whole east/west coast plan for improving connectivity is out the window now as you're all going to the same hosted location. Fun Fact: Since we merged the US/EU server lists, I've noticed about 50ms ping improvement of Union/Defiant over Freedom (I'm based in DC). I'm planning on migrating some of my toons to Union for this reason.
4. No free server transfers unless they specifically announce a "free transfer" period. Transfers were just on sale for 50% off until a few days ago, and they're a "buy and use immediately" format, so no "buying and parking until later" like one of the rednames erroneously suggested last week.
Suggestions for you:
a. Try safe mode and see if your rubberbanding improves. If so, it could well be your own system that's hampering you because of severe overhead for graphics, sound, etc. I doubt it, but hey, anything's possible.
b. Like Laser suggested, you can try assigning your DNS to a different server (Google offers access to one for free, as do a number of other sources) to see if your routing to the game environment improves.
c. Lastly, I'd just open a trouble ticket via /petition and ask for technical assistance. They'll email you a diagnostic tool that will log basic info on your machine and network connection for them to use in their analysis. It may take a few days, but their process on this is fairly thorough, and will help them narrow down a common issue if other users from certain ISPs or trunk paths are having the same issue. -
Tch. This has been on my bucket list for years now. The guy who got me into COH back in 2004 told me this is one of those keeper shows... fine, guess I'll have to get the 1st season or something.

Quote:I suspect this can be un-stickied.Freedom will be taken down at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time / 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time to investigate an issue. There is no E.T.A. at this time but we expect Freedom to be made available once again shortly afterwards.
We will let you know in this thread once your server is back up and running.
Thank you all! -

Same. For me, it's using login credentials that I'd recently changed on live (approx. one week ago).

Quote:You can also try RedTomax's City of Data archive. The only "previous" location I'm aware of for Portal Corp. was their location in the northwest corner in the Hive. See the explore badge "Time Bandit" for more info. And, something storywise is tickling the back of miah brain. Need to hit the wiki.
(Prior to the creation of PI, random story elements had office space for Portal corp. to be in Steel Canyon. Trying to remember the arcs/etc... vas always just the generic office layout, but something's tickling something about something with SC and those chatlogs.)
...always wanted them to expand the functionality of that area. Maybe have Resistance elements establishing a fortified colony there, using the previous Portal tech, to escape Praetoria and Emperor Cole. -
Well, not if he does it in the RWZ or Pocket D, or maybe Praetoria too. RWZ's got the breathing room, D's a bit easier for lowbies to attend. Praetoria's got ultra mode, but DOES require Going Rogue.
Hm. Praetoria WOULD be a nice, open area... -
Nice contest/promotional idea for the channel. Where'll you be hosting the CC? AP statue or someplace else?

I wanna say yes, but my track record sucks. How about a positive "maybe" with no real hope for my timeliness?
