My CoH Saturday

Morning ..... 1 disconnect, 2 mapserves

So thought maybe leave it for a while

Afternoon .......... 1 disconnect then unable to get back in as apparently I was still logging out for a good 15 minutes

Evening ............. 2 disconnects and a complete explosion

Not mentioning the rubber banding, lag and general frustration.

Fun Fun Fun.

What will be done.....nothing.....apologies - none...... give a crap zero.
I work in the service industry and if we offered our customers this quality of service the regulator and media would be all over our ***** and we'd be paying out compensation left, right and centre. (Im not asking for any BTW)

I LOVE this game, I love the community and the ideas of the devs BUT a game that is not playable is not a GAME and certainly not FUN.

Ok im outright ranting now and not making much sense....*goes back to his cave*

I was logged in for about 2 hours earlier this afternoon (around 3pm to 5pm EDT) without issue.

I'm guessing you're logging in from overseas. This may sound trite, but try opening a trouble ticket with NCSoft. If this is a consistent issue, they WILL get down and run some speedtests with you to the host location in TX (for the US servers at least), see if there's a hiccup somewhere in between you and them.

Good luck. I can't say I experienced what you did in any way, but I sympathize. You might also have better luck in the Tech Issues forum, see if others from overseas are having the same problem you are.

Wow. I had my best CoH experience Saturday night between 5:30pm and 8pm. I was able to run trials with 24 people and I had no lag and no disconnects. I was freaking amazed. I even emailed the helpdesk to ask about the volume on the server that night. It was just freaking awesome for me because I got so much loot.

Also, I brought my new 50 MM into the Alpha game and she held her own without any alpha/incarnate slots very nicely. I was so happy that I came back on Sunday morning to what you experienced...disconnects and mapservers. I wasted 4 hours on Sunday dealing with that.

Sadly, I don't think the problems are with CoH. It's the network in general. I do wish they would implement some QoS system for CoH. Some type of network service guarantee/information would be nice to know before I played. It's hit or miss when I play now.

I went back online this evening and had the same problem again. I was on track with 24 for a perfect run with my new MM and I got disconnected. Today was worse, I got those stupid "tell what your were doing" windows.

I am sure the devs are aware of that issue, but keep in mind before they fix any "MapServer" issues or "Loss Connection' issues they will come out with a new issue to COH.

I have certainly noticed the lack or maybee I should say slowwwwww attention regarding connection issues

How are they gonna fix it?

In just this post, we have shown that every experience is diffferent in the game. There's nothing to fix because it's not the game...it's the network.

This game will always be dodgy for people outside of the US. I have a 150MB FTTH connection(all light/wavelength to the NCSOFT and I still have problems.

Try dnsbench. It cleared up most of my problems. Korean DNS servers don't necessarily want to go to the right spot, or US redirects send the traffic the wrong way (or kill it completely) because of the loose copyright laws here in a misguided attempt to stop all traffic from the country.
