    Successful BAF

The first and definately not the last, great work guys!
  2. With globals down I felt it important to communicate Union's first Lambda Sector victory!

We managed 10/10 on the temps and a nice speedy takedown of Marauder. My thanks to everyone that took part in the battle, you are going to all be the inspiration that drives further Union victories forward!

You all have my admiration and thanks for your support!

Apologies for my lack of prescence tonight, I've had a few issues keeping food down this evening
  5. I remember suggesting HP and END being restored, and a burst of power when levelling up
    • a 5 man SG team completing Atta's mission in about 3 hours, we fought wave after wave of trolls around Issue 3, was a real slugfest!
    • Weekly Hamidon raids before the Hami changes, was a real community fight back in the day!
    • My first 50, again citing the old XP curve and really slogging my guts out at the level 41 area to get some progress (i'd run out of missions so had to street sweep Rikti in PI)
    • Getting the Isolator badge from RV having missed it in the tutorial.
    • The very first opening moments of the new style Rikti invasion, we had teams all over the city waiting and the chatter between zones on globals was mad!
    • The Circle of Thorns event in Brickstown, fighting level 54 CoT in huge numbers was amazing fun, zone events are always such though
    • Not knowing about the Zeus Titan ambush and completing the relevent mission from Crimson, then realising it was following me.
    • The first time I tried the Eden trial, I still adore that map.

I'm just on a lunchbreak from work, but i'm on later tonight if you're about.

I do appreciate the feedback, we do try and organise the raids as best we can, yet there are difficulties in doing so. It's a really difficult balance to strike, do we invite the people turning up early and say tough to people that can't always camp out Pocket D early? Do we run raids with total PUG's and risk repeated failures that cause people to turn up less and less? Do we pre-subscribe the raids and turn it into an almost private affair?

As it stands we've always found the fairest way is to get enough people to fill the three teams, then sort it out so that we can see who has what and try to get a balanced raid out of it. I do apologise again if you have missed out on a few runs, given the chance I'd take 50 people in each time, but we have to work with what we have. If we need melee or ranged AT's though and there aren't any that fit the bill, we do tend to shout out for what we need and see who can swap, but it doesnt always work out perfect.

I do conceed your point of learning the raid, my SG allies have really learnt the CoP inside and out to the point of being able to run their own raids (my intent has and will always be for the Strykers to be able to run them during any peak time so long as there are enough members online) with or without my prescence. It would be brilliant to get a lot of more inexperienced players in and taking part, at the moment that will take time to achieve.

With regards to the League and CoP, we can still take lower level players into the trial, but their ability to contribute is highly limited, so we tend to take 45+ because of the difficulty and powers required for such a task.

My thanks for your well wishing, I do hope to see you turn up now and again for our attempts to bring CoP to the masses so to speak and its regrettable that it's worked out that you've missed it 3 times.

Again my apologies profusely and not being able to get everyone in, time on fridays and numbers are against us and we try our best.

The current problem that we have is that we have 3 team leaders, who have to balance their teams for the 2 stages of the trial, without any real kind of visibility of who has what. As an example currently I have to get the team leaders to type out who and what they have each time a team member changes, and unless people stand by their team leaders it's incredibly difficult to see who still needs a team.

Additionally, citing myself as an example, I would only ever really jam one or two scrappers into my team at most, as I can fufill the scrapper requirements myself. If a blaster runs a team, its unlikely that person will take 3 blasters etc.

The league system will make all of this much easier to handle, as we can invite and swap people around without making people leave teams and re-invite.

I do sincerely apologise if you wern't able to get into one of the teams last night, I've always asked people to turn up with what AT's they want to bring and we'll organise the best we can with what we have, as I've never been a fan of private raids, or asking everyone to turn up with characters they might not always want to play.

I like to think we jam in great mixes of all the AT's, however there will be situations where a team needs something to make the trial work and someone turning up with just the right stuff will get an invitation.

We did have a lot of advertising for ranged/support/tanks last night, I know the team leaders were asking if anyone had anything they wanted to swap to etc, so I hope you spotted those calls in broadcast.

E-Mail me ingame @Tsumijuzero and if you missed out, i'll always try and get you a spot on the next raids!

hmm, methinks the SG base needs more defense turrets in preperation... lol
  11. The Zero Strykers are always looking for new members, we are an easy going Heroside SG that runs weekly Cathedral of Pain trials. Members can participate as much or as little as they want to with no prestige commitments.

Grab me ingame @Tsumijuzero if you're interested or fancy a tour of the base.

    You rang!?

Anyways, welcome back to Union and Paragon City, as my esteemed colleague mentioned, the Strykers would be more than welcome to have you join. Lady Arete's channel advice is also a great way to get yourself back into the Union community

I remember when Art of War ran something like this a while back, if you get too many Kronos Titans they seem to become unable to navigate and start crashing into buildings etc, so please ask the AoW guys for the numbers they used
  15. well im currently locked out lol, thing is I remember the password but alas it refuses to budge on letting me into my account!

bah! apologies I missed you, I'm normally on fridays for CoP's and during the week at odd times. If you can't find me (look for @TsumijuZero) the also @Soul Storm and @G Healer are online during the week as well.

We have had a fortuitious 2011 so far, with 2 successful runs of the CoP tonight, once against Lanaru the Mad and again against Ruludak the Strong. Both runs were executed by the teams flawlessly and I look forward to the same again in the coming weeks!
  17. I'd have to say yes, currently I'm MORE likely to use my Veteran shield drone rather than have a "Manifestation" of an IDF robot/soldier following me around for 2 minutes.
  18. Liked...
    • Getting a look at the new incarnate powers...
    • Treading unexplored ground ergo the trial itself...
    • Seeing the Devs actually logged in EU side...
    Disliked...
    • Codes being given out mid testing...
    • Everything of recent being timed...
    • The League UI's visual style and complication against the existing team window...
    What I would change...
    • Increase the time allotted for gathering the temporary powers...
    • Decrease the HP on the storage units for the temporary powers, or let them tank Marauder for us given their bonkers stats.
    • Making the Incarnate salvage ONE set of salvage with different rare / very rare components for the slots, all new salvage per power is... ughh...
    Suggestions...
    • Read all the feedback threads and impliment our requested changes.
    • Dont give out codes during fights in progress, or whilst people are testing and not present...
    • League "Nicknames" that we can choose for the League UI
  19. It was really great to see the Devs EU side tonight, but I was disappointed to see codes being given out mid testing rather than as a pre testing event. People were either scrambling to copy codes from the admin channel whilst trying to test Lambda sector, or missing out entirely!
  20. It was a great raid all in all, my thanks to everyone that attended and contributed tonight and made it such a success!!

We had a few first timers tonight as well, so for those that took part tonight that had yet to face Hamidon, congratulations on your first Hami-Gank!

Many thanks again to Lady Arete for organising this tonight, and I look forward to many more!
  21. Ok then guys, for all reading this can we gather in PI for some EoE gathering tonight - I'll be online between 20:30 ish ~ 22:00 tonight to make a start and for all those interested I can do a lot more tomorrow morning too to build up supplies!

The Pylons as I understand it are merely objectives, I tend to dive in and clear the Yellow Mito's while the Pylons are still up. Hamidon can still attack while the pylons are active and defeating Hamidon with or without a Pylon up are exactly the same.

People insisting or kicking players for wanting to take down the pylons first as intended really should worry less about objective order and more about what the objectives are, as each and every strategy is in effect, exactly the same.

The only strategy I've seen that does make it easier, is to chuck the rikti into the Hami-goo to make them attack the Mito's while teammembers do the same with less aggro (Hami has more stuff to fire at)
  23. I just purchased, not that I can forsee using animal costume parts, but if it contributes towards further development, I consider it a few pounds well spent!
