I keep tough on for a little extra dmg mit (15% aint too bad) and i have Touch of Death in Crane kick, storm kick and air superiority for the 3+% melee defense (in total over 9%). i have at the moment 49% melee defense, 48.4 ranged defense and 37.8 AOe defense (just saying cos it doesnt show it).

Just as an extra :- i have hurdle instead of swift because i wanted some fun jump height and i have air superiourity for -fly and knockdown and fly cos i like flying:P Thanks in advance for your insights and opinions

Whats the difference between specific defence (like fire, energy or lethal) and general defence (melee, ranged and aoe) ?

Is an INV/ tanker viable in PvP without unstopable? or is it necessary?

But yeah i honestly dunno how gauntlet works exactly, it taunts ur target an nearbys for a few secs? Wit my inv/nrg tanker, i'm gonna only have bone smasher, energy transsfer, total focus and laser eyebeams as my slotted attacks and without hasten the recharges will be about 4, 10, 10 and 4 secs respectively. I'll also have about 199% acc with all so i figure i would always hit an AV, do u guys think it would work to keep say LR perma taunted (remem ill also have hasten
).

In a situation of large mobs, most teams can take them out without you even needing to use taunt and just by moving through the groups to get the alpha strike and initial aggro then after killing one boss after another you probably would have done a gd job of holding aggro, keeping your team alive and finishing the mission. Taunt is a useful tool, but unlike everyother game out there, it isnt necessary for a tank.

No taunt necessary for an AV? what planet are you from m8gauntlet is rubbish without taunt and AV's will break from gauntlet the second a blaster opens with a barrage of attacks and his face quickly introduced the dirt but answer me this would you team with a tanker on the STF that didn't have taunt?

lol im sorry but plz take that 'what planet are u from m8' comment back, it says far too much about your life's priorities:P hehehe its posters like you in games that sometimes make me feel depressed at playin MMOs as people then put my in the same stereotype as u:P I'm sure i put alot of 'i think' and 'in my opinion' and the such in my post, too lazy to check as i've just been busy puuting my name down on a Vanquish to check but thats what i meantAnd every1 chill out, just a game:P sorry if i dont know how all the game mechanics work, i hear taunt i figure 'taunt' same as usual, if not ill realise it sooner or l8er or point it out in a better way. I'm workin on an Inv/EM tanker atm and have taunt, but im gonna slot it out after i hit 50 and have done all the TFs and trials simply cos i have a bad feeling that at some point ill get into a group for one of these and if i dont have taunt they would kick me:P I pretty much figure after i have done all of these i can get rid of taunt and focus more on a dueling tanker. If im wanted in groups after i get rid of taunt im sure a combination of guantlet from my attacks and invincibility taunt aura will be more than enuff to keep aggro (PS i wont have whirling hands either). Alos i think when fighting AVs which is when a tanker is needed most, u dont need taunt as guantlet will be kicking in as you will be attacking the AV and with ur taunt aura u should have the enemy constantly taunted. In a situation of large mobs, most teams can take them out without you even needing to use taunt and just by moving through the groups to get the alpha strike and initial aggro then after killing one boss after another you probably would have done a gd job of holding aggro, keeping your team alive and finishing the mission. Taunt is a useful tool, but unlike everyother game out there, it isnt necessary for a tank.

There are 2 different mezz resistance IOs, the one taht increases mezz resistance by 20% and gives 1.something psionic resistance which is unique and another one taht gives 30% mezz resistance which isnt unique and i dont think this is meant to be unique as it says nothing about being unique, unless they messed up the description in the text again. And like i said my assumption was just from the description of the IO, it says 'reducess the duration of mezz effects on you by 30%'. I would assume it would be the opposite of the increase duration of 'insert mezz effect' enhancements which increases the time by a certain amount directly relating to the mezz duration of a power ie. a sleep power enhanced by 10 percent with a base of 10 second duration would increase the duration to 11 seconds. So the reduce duration would be the opposite. That would be the gramatical interpretation but as i say the devs dont always relate the text descriptions of enhancements to the actual mathematical effects in the game. I may be totally wrong but this is just how i view it. It seems an acceptable addition to the game as it would require at least 4 slots to get over 100% reduction of mezz duration and would allow tanks other than stoners to tank GW without gettin mezzed but you will lose 4 slots which isnt a small thing. Anyway i might be totally wrong, if any1 has tested this and knows better it would be grateful for feedback.

the mezz resistace is global, ur toggles dont need to b on for it to work, and unlike the rechrage redux which is actualy an increase attack speed which mean if u increase atack speed by 100% u attack twice as fast, the mezz resistance IOs say reduce the duration of mezz effectss on you by 20/30% which in my understanding means if u have 100% you shouldnt be mezz'ed though i figure u'll get mezzed but for almost no time, just enough to drop urr toggles, u prob wouldnt miss a step, but tbh it may be a messed up description in the IO. Havent got 4 of the 30% mezz reduxs in yet so i havent tested it. If someone has properly tested it please feel free to correct me -

Guys was wondering who else would want to get mezz protection for human form khelds. Kheldians i think are the most underplayed AT in the game and I feel this would help alot if one of our shields in human form had mezz protection for things like stun etc. Post if you think like wise and maybe we can get enough people to change the devs minds
