"Best" is always subjective, But DM definitely SHINES with FA, more so in my opinion then FM, especially for a brute. the extra damage that FM brings doesn't add enough on a brute who can crank out sick damage with FA alone, DM's bag of tricks, mixed with the exotic damage type really turns out phenomenal! two self heals (one of which is a great attack as well), two +end powers, and two damage boosters, one of which does damage to the baddies, the other applies a nice -ToHit. add DM's -ToHit to even out FA's relatively weak res, and it's gotta be one of the BEST synchronized combos in the game. all of this is, of course IMHO, but, many many others feel this way, as i first made one after forum recommendations years ago.
  2. so, though i have been playing for years, and have a handful of 50's, and consider myself pretty good at this game, i have never been able to get a blaster past the early 20's.

i most play melee, but i do play defs and cors, and i have always had good survivability. i need some insight to blaster power sets that could help emulate this as best as possible.

i understand that the primary powerset's secondary ability can help, but for concept reasons i have limited it to Rad, Nrg, Psi(though i hear bad things about blaster psi), and maybe sonic. with those options the only active help i can get from the primary side is Nrg's KB, which i have become pretty adept at over the years(not screwing up team play by utilizing positioning and angles). so it's the secondaries that will be doing the lions share of saving my clueless rearend. so what would the blaster community recommend for the biggest safety net type of secondary?

awwwww, come on, we can call you Tater "token" Todd.
actually, i've always wanted to test that theory, by screwing with the monsters/bad guys, i say we get 5 or 6 black guys, baddies will have no idea who to kill first, all the good guys escape while the baddies wander around confused or argue over who gets it first. it's a good plan!

    two things:
first, there can't be a "new version of LSD", LSD = lysergic acid diethylamide, so it's either lsd or not. at best it's a horrible facimile, that apparently makes you strip naked and eat peoples faces. there can be some bad side effects from lsd, but i don't think face eating is one of them.

second, i think discounting the initial cause of the zombie apocalypse as designer drugs in bath salts as an impossibility is a mistake, sounds very plausible to me.

third, (i know i said two things, but just deal), because you seem to be trying to suppress the truth about the end times, you will not be allowed to borrow any of my machetes!

edit: huh? somehow, i missed the word food there. but i disagree, i think machetes make the perfect zombie fighting weapon. they are light weight, sharp enough to clear jungle under brush, and readily available. since the news report from miami i have been stocking up on them, and though my neighbors weren't actual zombies (thought i could use a bit of practice), they worked just fine. remember, you don't have to kill that zombie with one hit, just immobilize him, take a leg off, then you can kill him at your leisure. i sure hope the zombies don't make the racket that my neighbors did, i forgot to stock up on ear plugs.

    AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok, i read the initial reports on this, just said naked guy chomping on other guy, shot dead. not exactly guaranteed zombie. but after the rest of the info...... guess it's time to break out the zombie apocalypse survival pack.

seriously? they shot him, he growled at them and continued eating the other guy? had to shoot him more to make him stop? i'm guessing the cop finally realized he needed a head shot.

now where did i put those machetes? definitely going to need the machetes...

HEY! that's enough out of you! no one asked for your opinion.

and Hawkeye always had a "superhuman" level of accuracy, so proper form wasn't required. comparing to others is pointless, the superhero ALWAYS wins

Put it this way. I get migraines and cluster headaches. Loads of fun, indescribably painful, requires lots of drugs and can literally keep me out of work for a couple days.

Real3D 3D can actually trigger these headaches for me, depending on how badly done it is. So I avoid 3D films for the most part.

Now go fail at trying to be clever someplace else.
ok, though i think the response you got from dug was meant in jest (i thought it was pretty funny), the fact remains that your physiological issues with 3D are not the studios fault. i feel for you, i really do, i have a friend who has the same issue and can't see movies with me when they are in 3D, kinda sucks. but restricting your movie viewing time to weekday afternoons or weekends? really? weekday nights not offering the most aggressive scheduling for movie viewing is pretty standard man, most folks have stuff to do the next day and aren't sitting through a movie at 8pm on a wednesday. yeah, it restricts your options, but it doesn't remove them, you still have options. i would love it if banks were open at midnight, but they aren't and i cope.

lets remember folks, movies are put out for profit, it's a business, if 3D brings in more bucks, or if the producers want to make their movie in 3D, then that's what they do. if they lose you as a customer, but gain 5 more highschool kids who enjoy 3D, then it's the right move. you can gripe, i get it, no one likes everything. but trying to say your specific physical issues with it justify your non acceptance of someone elses differing opinion (snarky or not) just kind of shoots holes in your initial stance.
  15. ok, so i've spent the majority of my 5 years on this game playing melee, and though i enjoy it, it's time to branch out.

i've always wanted to try Khelds, but never gotten one up past squid form, and that's what kills it for me. i HATE the other forms, not that look of the forms, not the shift in powers and playstyles, but the alien forms kill my immersion. i am not a numbers guy, i play because i love superheroes, and i want to use one of these AT's, so i have decided to go human form only.

now my question is, which one (PB or WS) makes a "better" human only build? and by better i mean which one has better survivability or soloabilty in human form. i have cool concepts for both, but as a semi-squishy, nit sure which one will translate better from a mostly melee point of view.

i've read the guides, but with absolutely no Kheld experience all that data seems vague...

help a newb out with your experiences, and any suggestions for power combos/playstyles/tactics are greatly appreciated.

    thanks in advance.

Lets say 1:30pm is the target time frame to meet. We meet there. Spend... I donno a, hour or 2 hours for lunch and kibitzing and then we pile into cars and car pool down to the fredericksburg Muvico theater for the actual movie.

    Thoughts for that?

Dude, fredericksburg is a hike... you sure you want to do that? Fredburg is like an hour+ from springfield. Geico's second data center is down there, been there a bunch, me no likey that ride man.

i've accepted my fate, i just sit and wait now, until the next M&G, plotting my revenge.
  21. i'm down for the movie, and i prefer the no talking version (and especially the no clapping and singing version), but i long ago swore to never again go to an opening weekend movie. i would prefer a week or so after it opens so as not to have to deal with the swarms of folks, but for the opportunity to hang out again, i'll make an exception.

but, i say we find another theater, arundel mills has a nice theater and all, but parking is really beyond belief there, not sure everyone would be up for that again. specifically of rthe folks who had to drive over an hour to spend almost the same amount of time looking for a spot.
