I might have a new comic of my own coming out eventually. I promised that I would do it, but I'm having trouble finding a host that I like.
[/ QUOTE ]
We can help ya with that. You looking for file hosting or reading ability?

I may have stumbled into this thread blindly. My comics aren't CoH comics. (Although many of my heroes were originally built in CoH.) Sorry about that, I misunderstood the announcement post. I thought we were assembling comic creators who happen to play CoH, not people who create CoH-derived comics.
Anyway, what I'm looking for in a host is:
Reasonable cost. (Say < $30/month)
Reasonable traffic limits. (I'm hoping and shooting for 15k uniques/day.)
Some kind of daily update software. (Or a shell account and the ability to install such software.)
The ability to run my own advertisements.
The ability to attach to my own domain name. (I already own genocideman.com.)
...and I need for all of this to not take up too much of my free time.
I just listed my needs for you because I really am looking *everywhere*, but I don't think there's a good match here. Thanks for offering, though!

woah... that's a bit more then I thought you were talking about. I would point you toward Godaddy.com. I'm fairly certain they've got you covered on your little shopping list there. -

Neat idea, getting the comic creators of CoH together.
My main comic, Indefensible Positions, has ended. But I have one of the characters from that comic in a crossover with several other stars of the webcomic world. Together we're doing Crossoverlord, and poking a lot of fun at crossovers in general (and each other).

Continuing with the Round table introductions:
I am Torroes Prime. I have a drive to expand the game lore in new directions with new stories. To that end, I focus most of my attention on my series City of Heroes: Invasion.
Ironically, I had started writing this series before issue 10 had been announced. Needless to say when I10 dropped, I had to make a LOT of changes to my story to bring it in line with the In-game stories. Invasions tells the story of a third Rikti invasion, but unlike the first invasion where the Rikti were repulsed almost entirely, and unlike the second invasion where the threat was contained and remained mainly at a stalemate between the Vanguard and the Rikti, this time the Rikti have been brutally more effective. This time they have basically won. There's a great deal that lead to this state of affairs in the story, and I've done my best to lay it out here. I have done this because I want to encourage other enthusiasts to come on board and write their own stories and tell the tale of what they're characters would being during this Third invasion. Be it in fan-fiction, Art, The Mission Architect, or even your own comics. The members of the CCC are here to help with Fan-comics and I will help with anything relating to City of Heroes: Invasion.
[ QUOTE ]
The lines between Hero and Villian have become more blurred then ever before. Lines once drawn in blood have been lost in the sand. This is a time of life and death, of struggle and of death. The Invasion is over, the war has begun. City of Heroes: Invasion

Now that Open Beta has begun, there are four arcs created by yours truly. They are:
"Dyne of the Times"
"Hell Hath No Fury" (this, btw, is the MistWalkers' arc)
"Positron Gets Some!"
"Lights... Camera... MAYHEM!"
Enjoy!

I know what it is. Can't recall the thing's name off the top of my head, but I have seen Dark Crytsal. I own the DVD of it.

I actually have one one step further. I take screenshots from the Tailor screens, and then crop and stitch them together in Paint.NET. I've also used COH Splasher to swap out the 'character entry' screens for simple gradients, to make the character details easier to see.

I developed a similar process, though I think mine ends up beign less work. I make demo files of my toon, performing certain emotes if needed, but with no map specified. and then I run that demo through Zloath's demo launcher with demodump on. That gives me a series of images of my toon, basically in the middle of the sky. I can drop the image into PS, and use the Magic Wand to select about 85% of the background in one go. Then I can use the Lasso tool to select the rest of the BG and separate it from my toon. That's how I did the images in my pages up there. -
I would point you to this thread: How to Request Art Juggertha pretty much covers the bases.

Memphis, Milk. Something in each of your guys tidbits of info have started the ugly little gears in my brain working. So I'm probably gonna see what i hammer out with your guys' toon next. Oddbug, don't worry. Not shutting ya out or anything. Just gotta go with what my mind works out.
Time, still trying to tack you down in game. -

Yeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh says the guy with the Tribble on Steriods for an avatar.........
Anyway, Lemme know if I can help ya with it. If ya have photoshop I can just send the PSD file I have for it. -
I can certainly do a group shot, City of Heroes Invasion: Villians, Imperious Task Force: Team Bull, City of heroes Invasion: Heroes, The Rikti War Zone, and Imperious Task Force: Team Duskfang are all examples of different styles I've used with groups.
Even Underworld Overlord Vs. Barron Overlord is a group shot of sorts, granted it's only 2 people but still. If you have a pair of toons who are arch-nemesie to one another, there are ways I can make it work. -
something I did for character I'm using in comic is make like a book entry, kinda like the Transformers: More then meets the Eye series or the G.I. Joe: Combat Record series, eh hell. Here have a look for yourself: City of Heroes Invasion Primer: Torroes Prime
The image, plus the information helps me keep track of who and what the character is. It's a bit of work, but I've found it to be very useful in my efforts. Not sure if you'll get the same value from it, but that's my 2 cents. -
well there's a couple options to answering the demo question.
1) I can partially melt your brain by attempting to answer and explain it (Not a good option)
2) You can hope over to the multi-media section of the forums and roll around it for a while (Better, but unlikely to happen)
3) You and I can arange a time to be online on a speccific server and I can grab the demo data myself
4) If you're feelign ambitious and want to look into Demo Editing, I would recommend you check out: Samuraiko Productions: Toons on Film It's a tutorial and explination on Demo recording and Demo Editing written by one of the best in the Field of CoH Demo work, Dark_respiute(samuraiko) ( Dark Respite's I14-Trailer) -

and your point? Look Scoots, I am not going to get into a contest of "who's the bigger fan-boi/gurl". It likely a contest that would end badly for all parties involved. -

as of 10:09 eastern, I am online on Protector. -
I'm actually getting to log on right now. So throw me a tell at my global @Torroes Prime.

okay, what's a good time/day for you to be online? I can roll a level 1 whatever and meet ya in Atlas/mercy and get the data myself. That way I know I get what I need, and I don't need to confuse you by trying to explain it, which I utterly suck at.

Hey all, this is a two part post. I''m gonna color code it for easier reference:
================================================== =====================================
Part 1: What I've already done.
Well, from time to time I make wallpapers. Now realise I have all the drawing ability of a blind, quadriplegic hippo. That aside, I think I've done alright with what I've created. I went through and compiled all of CoH Wallpapers I've created onto a web page. If you're interested, check it out here:
MGC Productions: City of Heroes Wallpapers
What do you think?

Part 2: I'M BORED!!!!
Okay, not literally bored. But I've got an urge to work on some wall papers right now, and I'm now on spring break so I'll have some time. So, here's what I'm asking: Who is willing to volunteer one, or more of their toons to my services and have a Wallpaper made for them?
For reference sake, the following Wallpapers on my site are of other people's toons:
1) The Big Bad Chicken Man
2) City of Heroes: Lukas DeWayne Acier
3) City of Villians: Underworld Overlord
4) Underworld Overlord Vs. Barron Overlord
5) City of Heroes: Barron Overlord
6) City of Heroes: Todestraum
7) City of Heroes: Poisoned Enn Vee
and of course the group shots from the Task forces and the Rikti War zone one.
So if you're interested here is what I will need:
1) Name of the Character (Well yeah, kinda need to know the name)
2) Some background information (Really whatever you want to tell me. If there's a particular aspect of the character that is a driving force, like maybe the character has a particular disdain for an enemy group, or suffered some sort of life trauma they are trying to overcome ect)
3) A Demo file containing your toon. (I'll send ya directions on how to get this if you need 'em)
So, what do you think of my work and who's interested in letting me make a Wallpaper of their character? -
well, as long as we're sharing stories of Fanning over Dark:
I have begun development of a fan-made comic dealing with a third invasion of the Rikti. Not wanting to make this comic just a "Torroes Prime" story, I'm always looking for ways to incorporate other people's characters and ideas into the story. At one point I had put out a thing on the boards asking if anyone was interested in submitting a character for use in the story in a given circumstance that I had posted. I already knew of Dark's Video work (and I must add had been unfathomably impressed by it, so I was already a Fan of her work in that regaurd), though I must admit I only knew the name "samuraiko" and had never previously encountered Dark on the forums. So when I had Dark_respite auditioning Sorina Tavarisch for the role, it didn't really strike any particular cord for me (Please don't ask how I missed making the connection). Until my own stupidity from the prior 3-4 years caught up with me, and I collapsed from a variety of relatively minor medical issues at work (Thanking every deity out there I missed collapsing on top of the grill!!) So I was hospitalized for about 4 days. With nothing else do, I asked my parents to bring me my laptop and I spent most of those four days surfing the forums. That was then that I ran across "The Course of Superhero Romance". It seemed interesting enough that I started reading (the 40+ page count didn't mean much to me since I wasn't going anywhere). well, to make a long story short, when she brought in her character the name rang a bell in my memory and I confirmed it in my messages. The doctors were promptly required to wire my jaw back together following it shattering on the floor. Ultimatly I decided to not use Tavarisch for the part in my comic. Now hold on, hold on! Before you get all huffy at me lemme explain!
The sheer volumes of effort I had seen Dark pour into creating her characters deserved far more then simply "A throw away bit-piece that may or may not become something more". I had decided to incorporate Sorina more fully into the back ground of the third invasion, and thus she would become a leading character in the story line. To that end, I re-worked the back ground to incorporate more about the second invasion (the current RWZ arcs) and speccifically noted that Sorina Tavarisch was involved in many key operations of them.
So yeah, not really where that puts me on the Fandom scale but there it is. -

*cackles* Good show! This looks to be a lot more interesting than a fight with the Honoree!
The picture was very good too, though it reminded me a lot of the new Dark Templar from Starcraft 2. Who drew it?

That would be me. And no, I've never even seen Starcraft 2.
