Hey all, this is a two part post. I''m gonna color code it for easier reference:

Well, from time to time I make wallpapers. Now realise I have all the drawing ability of a blind, quadriplegic hippo. That aside, I think I've done alright with what I've created. I went through and compiled all of CoH Wallpapers I've created onto a web page. If you're interested, check it out here:

Part 2: I'M BORED!!!!
Okay, not literally bored. But I've got an urge to work on some wall papers right now, and I'm now on spring break so I'll have some time. So, here's what I'm asking: Who is willing to volunteer one, or more of their toons to my services and have a Wallpaper made for them?

For reference sake, the following Wallpapers on my site are of other people's toons:

1) The Big Bad Chicken Man
2) City of Heroes: Lukas DeWayne Acier
3) City of Villians: Underworld Overlord
4) Underworld Overlord Vs. Barron Overlord
5) City of Heroes: Barron Overlord
6) City of Heroes: Todestraum
7) City of Heroes: Poisoned Enn Vee
and of course the group shots from the Task forces and the Rikti War zone one.

So if you're interested here is what I will need:
1) Name of the Character (Well yeah, kinda need to know the name)
2) Some background information (Really whatever you want to tell me. If there's a particular aspect of the character that is a driving force, like maybe the character has a particular disdain for an enemy group, or suffered some sort of life trauma they are trying to overcome ect)
3) A Demo file containing your toon. (I'll send ya directions on how to get this if you need 'em)


So, what do you think of my work and who's interested in letting me make a Wallpaper of their character?

okay, what's a good time/day for you to be online? I can roll a level 1 whatever and meet ya in Atlas/mercy and get the data myself. That way I know I get what I need, and I don't need to confuse you by trying to explain it, which I utterly suck at.

im going to be up all night tonite, untill around 10am tomorrow if that works otherwise I will be on randomly thanks to work until Wednesday

This is an awesome offer, but I have no idea how to make a demorecord. It's like a video thingy?

well there's a couple options to answering the demo question.
1) I can partially melt your brain by attempting to answer and explain it (Not a good option)

2) You can hope over to the multi-media section of the forums and roll around it for a while (Better, but unlikely to happen)

3) You and I can arange a time to be online on a speccific server and I can grab the demo data myself

4) If you're feelign ambitious and want to look into Demo Editing, I would recommend you check out: Samuraiko Productions: Toons on Film It's a tutorial and explination on Demo recording and Demo Editing written by one of the best in the Field of CoH Demo work, Dark_respiute(samuraiko) ( Dark Respite's I14-Trailer)

If all you need is the demo containing the character, it's easy enough to put it here. (As opposed to "fighting X" or "Doing a specific action.")

1. Hop into your SG base or somewhere there aren't a lot of people.

Not really *needed,* you can do this in Atlas Park in the middle of a costume contest, but the less to mess with the better.

2. Get into costume.

3. Type in:

/demorecord mycharacter

4. Let it run for a few seconds (say, count to 10.)

5. Type in:

/demostop

6. Go to the directory you installed City of Heroes in.
(Typically c:\program files\city of heroes, as I recall.)

In that directory, you will now find a folder called client_demos. In THAT folder, you'll find a file with whatever name you gave it - mycharacter.cohdemo (think that's the extension.)

That file is what he's requesting.

Torroes_Prime, would you be willing to put multiple characters on a wallpaper? Not like a millyun or something stupid like that, but 2 or 5 or so? If not, I may just have to throw a few out there, and let you decide which one you like best.

Biggest Troll on the forums? I'll give you a hint:

I can certainly do a group shot, City of Heroes Invasion: Villians, Imperious Task Force: Team Bull, City of heroes Invasion: Heroes, The Rikti War Zone, and Imperious Task Force: Team Duskfang are all examples of different styles I've used with groups.

Even Underworld Overlord Vs. Barron Overlord is a group shot of sorts, granted it's only 2 people but still. If you have a pair of toons who are arch-nemesie to one another, there are ways I can make it work.

That's a possibility... for a couple of characters, actually. >.<

The other question being how to get the demorecords to you.

Oddbug

It started off as a good day. The sun was shining, the coffee was hot, and he got to work 10 minutes early. As a research assistant to Dr. Mitchell Lawerence, chief entemologist at Paragon University, he led a pretty quiet life. Then, the day got worse, a whole lot worse. The Rikti invaded, and a squad of the alien soldiers raided the campus to try and kidnap the head professors. Trying to protect his boss and friend, he jumped in front of a rikti ray bolt and was thrown into the back of the lab and knocked out. When he woke in the hospital, he was drastically changed, but declared that even with what had happened, he liked being a hero, and would use his newfound abilities to become something else, the Oddbug.

As for a demo file, add @Nod and I can meet you anytime after 9:30 pm est tonight or any time that's good for you tomorrow. I do have several pictures here if it helps.

I would also like to talk to you about commissioning a large group shot wallpaper, if you take that kind of work on.
