Am on board for next run, but won't be there tonight. Final home game is tonight for TN.

Quote:Bah!
It wasn't that bad. I died once on Rommy at the very beginning between him and that autohit nictus (even though I tried to rez one time too but was killed before I could hit my BF and move out of the way). As for running, once I was down, he ran off. He got planted in one spot after that. I should have brought my brute instead!
Admittingly, my ice tank is not the most optimal slotted. I am sure I could spend the inf on sets and softcap my defenses better - esp. to neg energy since that seems to cut right through me. Maybe even take tough/weave. If anything from last night, I see that my tank needs some support toons for survivability.
The one nictus is autohit. Thats why I was staying out of range of it when we started and pelting him with ranged attacks. -
Quote:Between you and Toril, it was like you came along JUST to grief me
Still not sure why you insisted on having Rommy run all over the place and finally letting him settle down in that particular spot....
Rommy runs when he is pelted from the sky. Its what he does. I tracked him down like he owed me money and then proceeded to take said money. :P -
Quote:Scirocco has two ways of debuffing defense:
1) Tornadoes - These are autohit and he summons more than one of them at a time. While you're fighting him, be ready to eat purple inspirations to compensate. They may disperse on their own and not mess your defense the whole time, but it's better safe than sorry.
2) Melee hits - Like most sword powers, each attack debuffs defense. Not nearly as scary as the tornadoes, but something to keep an eye on.
It was more of a poke at penny than anything. I was nigh invincible until the little ice icons went away. -
I'm in for both if I can get my build finished in time. Should be easy enough to accomplish if I can get some peeps to mule IOs for me when I get home.

Quote:Don't know if Satanic Hamster will post or if some one on the team took down the stats or screenshots for you Masque, but we did run the STF last night.
1 /rad contr, 1 cold/ice def, 1 scrapper, 1 tank, rest blasters. 2:19 as I recall/61 deaths - mostly at LR.
Anyhow, apart some survivability at LR, in my experience, the team went through the STF pretty smoothly. We ended up single-pulling each patron (a failed 1st pull with all 4). No issues with GW at all from what I could tell - even with no status protection buff from Hamster or me for the tank. No one had leadership pool either.
Last nights run went really well. I didn't drop til the last mission and that was when my defense somehow dropped when fighting with Scirocco...
And then there was LR. That was an interesting cluster. -

Quote:I would go with Toril as originally conceived. If you could be one of your heroes or villains, who would it be, and why?
I myself would be my fire blaster, Vivaria, except that I would trade out her super jump for flight. I've always thought it would be cool to manipulate fire and ice, and the energy manipulation would just be icing on the cake. And flight is about the ultimate super power.
How about you?

Origin story.. AGAIN!
G#$#@#$ this better be good. -
Quote:Of course, why would we suddenly develop strategery?!!?!I tend to always pull large groups in that room (and similar ones) to just outside the door. It's easier to group them all up and lay debuffs down as well as getting out of LoS. I stood back for a second and thought to myself "Are they really just going to charge into that room?"
+3s, ha! We have bonfire! -
Quote:Last night was pretty good on Team Hamster, too... except for that one lab room where we ran into about 3-4 mobs of Rikti at once. That wasn't so fun.
Left me wishing Liquefy would recharge sooner, as I started getting pegged a lot more when it dropped.
You lie! That rocked. That battle was epic! Me vs the oncoming hordes of rikti! Hapless buffbots and controllers falling dead at my feet as a fought on and on and on. Purple Rikti to the front. Purple Rikti to the back. Purple Rikti to the left. Purple Rikti to the right. All dieing under my thorny goodness!
I do believe I was the only one not to faceplant all night. Thats probably more to do with my defense being in the high 50s all night though. -

If anyone is going to be around tonight I plan on running a TF or doing some of my Tina Arc. First come, first serve. Starting at 8 PM EST.

Quote:Toril... ummm, what's up? You okay? Need a candy cane? Need us to make a joke at Voo's expense?
They've already explained it, and while I didn't know there were going to be walk-ins until MP announced it in channels, it's not a big deal. If anything, more competition means a lot more. I didn't win even a runner up nod, but I would have felt kind of meh about winning or getting runner up if I was only running against three other people (which is how many signed up for the male heroes category, like my guy). Plus, you got judged before the walk-ins and didn't have to wait with all the crazies in Pocket D.
Anyway, you're better than this post. Buck up! It's a fun event whether you win or not.
As I said to someone else in a PM. It has nothing to do with winning or losing, I didn't expect to win. I only signed up because there wasn't much interest. The unexpected rules change is what bothered me about the event. I have never participated in any PERC event before the auction a month or so ago. Just because something has been done the same way for 15 years doesn't mean its going to be done the same every time. For people not familiar with these type things it would have been nice if it would have been stated in the original flyer that there was zero reason to actually sign up, just show up. I have attempted to support PERC because I have met some of the people involved and find them to be good people.
In the beginning I attempted to be supportive because there was littlle interest. In the end I'm just miffed that I bothered because there was really no reason. I typically don't play on Saturday nights, as I do other things on the weekends.
Hell the only reason I am posting this weekend is because I can't sleep. Otherwise, I just post during the week when I'm bored at work. -
Never saw or heard anything about walkins til day of. If I had known about walkins I wouldn't have bothered to even sign up as I had other things to do on a Sat night.
F the walkins.
If they couldn't be bothered to sign up, judges shouldn't be bothered by them either. -
