Quote:you're bad.Because you are afraid of dying to my MMs? Seriously: Such a disadvantage is unfair. Way too hard to get killing blows as a MM.
I get plenty of kills on my Necro/Poison MM and she only has ninja leap and sprint for travel.
Stop complaining and learn to play your MM.

Quote:For those who have waited for Animates tales.... This issue is for you..The "One cape rule" is "no more than one cape or capelike costume part per character"; more capes per character significantly adds to lag. Fortunately that doesn't apply to these tails.
Or more tails. Yes; not only does it make sense, but the upcoming Mutant Pack might well have costume parts that need this update to work in the first place.
and so is this video...

Quote:If you need medicine on your dom you're doing it wrong. The very first thing you should do is to respec into Seeds of Confusion. Most of Plant Control's effectiveness is tied up in this power.
I would also recommend Power Boost. The boost in duration for Vines makes the power a useful substitute for Seeds of Confusion with confusion-resistant enemies. It also has some nice synergy with the Leadership and Medicine pools which are both areas you should consider as you get into the mid-30s and 40s.
But pretty much everything else minMin stated. Seeds of Confusion along with Carrion creepers is this Primaries bread and butter.
I didn't bother with Vines at the later levels as confusion and the hold proc in roots is enough to keep enemies off me. -
The title is appropriate. For a 'petless MM' it was indeed effective.
I wouldn't recommend anyone to go out and make a petless Mm and expect to be invited on teams...
The video did make me want my Dual Pistols/Poison Corruptor even more.
thank you. -

I keep the threads asshattery in balance. Otherwise Blueside would most certainly prevail.

they don't. Respec trials allow you to choose between merits or a respec. Why don't they allow you to choose between reward rolls and recipes on regular tfs/sfs?
-
Quote:I don't want to go back. I'd like the option to choose a random roll or merits, like respec trials work.Merits replaced the random roll. In fact, Merits are far, far better. You have to spend 20 Merits to get the same single Pool C random roll you got at the end of a TF before, and many of the TFs give far more than 20 Merits. Plus, you have the option of using Merits to purchase the specific recipe you want or need, so there is more choice, more value.
Another advantage of the Merit system -- longer TFs give more merits. It used to be that a "quick Katie" TF gave the same Pool C single random roll as a Positron or a Dr. Quarterfield. Now Posi gives 66 merits and Dr. Q gives, what, 120 merits? (It was 110 last time I did it, but that number has gone up.)
I did a Positron TF the other night, and got 66 Merits. That gave me three Pool C random rolls with six merits left over - while the old system would have only given me one Pool C random roll. Why would you want to go back? (Of course, all three were crappy recipes, but oh, well.) -
Why do we no longer have the option of a recipe at the end of tfs and sfs? Will we be getting this option back in the future as well as the option of merits?

Quote:Definitely an advocate for this idea. Doubt it would ever be implemented. That would be too many resources used for a community that's smaller than the Futa, catgirl and Furry communities. There isn't a way to fix it (Marketeering) unless individuals put effort into it.
THere isn't a way to fix it (PvP IOs) short of a new system. I suggested a PvP Merit system.
The devs would be better off adding mood lighting to arena options for the ERPers. -

Quote:I'll be going gray so I can farm tfs and raids on both sides. You know, I think your first statement is due in large part to your second for a number of people. The "undercover hero/anti-hero" types tend to not be the "master of my own fate/take over the world/muahahaha" types since they're working for the baddies for a reason outside being a hired thug (usually to bring them down). From a story standpoint, it actually makes more sense given the canon set-up on redside to be a undercover hero or anti-hero than a Dr Doom/Magneto type.
On the subject of PvP:
Quote:Try not to be surprised when in the long run reside population actually declines and its market becomes beyond laughable. And PvP becomes even more homogeneous than it already is.
And yes, I will say "told you so". -
This is a great idea! I'm tired of having to take a Circle mission with a friend, get confused and then spam each other with confuse in order to grief other players in Cap and Grandville! d;D

Quote:I'm not sure what you even mean by mecahnics..the mechanics to me means programming. You don't believe the script will allow for it?If I was discussing balance that might be a valid response, but I'm talking about the mechanics and I don't need to play the set to be able to tell you that the mechanics of the power won't work on a player.
As I said above it might be possible to make it work using a variant of the Mystic Fortune code (which grants a limited duration temporary power to the target) but that could have other complications. I personally think a toggle makes more sense from a usability and power perspective for non-masterminds. -

Quote:Translated for readers: Evil will always triumph because good is dumb.I am sorry because you do not know how to play on the blue side then if you REQUIRE an AT. While its nice having a Tank, Kin, Or Emp on a team they are not required. Tanks can function very well without one of those three; its people that play the characters that are the issue. Not the AT's themselves. People that broadcast for a specific AT does not really know how other powersets work or how to properly lead a team or just like playing safe.
Quote:Also need to give a big no on redside, just not that interesting. Though this is another pointless thread because people will play what they want and those that say "play redside now because I said so" are just like those that spam the channels seeking a specific AT. -

I for one haven't every said things are overly expensive on red market. The circuit board thing was put forth as an example of price fixing, nothing more. Things (salvage) are more likely to be expensive on blue than red. The point there, was that red is more vulnerable to that kind of fixing, it takes less effort to do so and can be maintained for longer due to lower supply traffic. Anyone who understands how the market works cannot argue this point with any degree of integrity. Slower market is easier to control, it's a simple fact.
The point was never about salvage, it was about the supply of goodies (recipes/io) at levels other than 50.
This is about villain market principles and how they are being threatened by blue foreigners trying to tell us how we should run our markets. Do us a favor and just keep buying our debt. d;D -
Quote:Actually I was focusing on HP, Damage, Recovery and Recharge; Regen bonuses are simply a biproduct of set bonuses.I'll preface this by saying that I've been cruising the Dom boards lately trying to get a feel for how folks build there doms so I may not be the best source of information. My actual dom experience is pretty limited.
When I looked at your build it was obvious that your shooting for regen bonuses. I think you made some odd choices along the way though. For example, the bonuses you gain from using Shield Wall in PFF only grant you an extra .8 hp regenerated per second. You've got a similar situation in Stamina; you only gain 20 hp, or about .3 hp a second with your regeneration. You may also want to note that the Heal and Heal/Endurance IO's in Health are currently boosting the regeneration from Numina's +regen/+recovery. Currently, the build on test corrects this and those bonuses will only apply to Health itself in the future.
I also question why you have stealth, superspeed, and Invisibility. Stealth and Superspeed will make you invisibile to virtually all pve mobs. You may find more utility in Grant Invisibility, allowing your teammates to stealth to mission objectives with you.
I have both Scorp shield and Invis bound to a macro for extra defense..this is my "Oh ****" macro (seriously, It's labeled OSHT.)
I appreciate the feedback, any seasoned Dom builders out there? -
Quote:Yes please provide us this evidence of things being overly expensive on the villain market.
While you are at it, please go outside and take a picture of the sky, to prove in fact, that it is blue.
Also: I heard that fish swim, can you provide video evidence?
See, this is where the opposition argument makes no sense to me. The oppositions argument is that the prices of goods on the villain market are more expensive than the hero markets; therefore the villain market is flawed.
However, the Villain and Hero markets are completely AUTONOMOUS entities. Why does the opposition continue to compare and contrast when there is absolutely no exchange of currency or Goods of ANY kind between Villain and Blueside through the market.
The most one could do Is compare current Villain market prices to past villain market prices. -
I'd like to propose that we keep the devs out of our market discussions. Not sure about anyone else but I'd prefer not to have a Market i13.
-
Quote:No, in a technical sense it is still the symptom of the problem.Well, I already stated that population was the root cause of the market issue, which is functionally identical to saying the market issue is a symptom of population issues. As for it being a problem...
So in a technical sense it is without question, a problem.
Quote:You may not consider it a problem
I am willing to agree that you have a dissenting opinion if you can agree that your opinion is flawed. -

Quote:How about playing the secondary before weighing in on the subject?Well, as a disclaimer I haven't actually played poison, I'm going off what RedTomax says about it so it's possible my interpretation is incorrect. In any case it appears to function using the "Grant Power" command. This is the same command that the mastermind Equip powers use and is something that does nothing on player characters.
For a non-mastermind set this would need to be changed. I'm not certain if it would be possible to do it as a click power. I think that it should be possible using a variant of whatever method the devs used for Mystic Fortune but I'm not certain. Also this may prevent it from working on Controller pets (I'm not sure about this one). I do know that the toggle method would work for both players and controller pets and I think it might be a better option from a balance perspective.
