  6. I've been wanting some things CoX related for a while. Maybe some City of Heroes Mini Games that you can earn infl/prestige for, towards your base. This ould require NCSoft support. But depending on If it would allow me to earn Prestige while away from the game, I'de be willing to easily spend up to $10 for it.

    Or maybe the CoH card game that was released, convert it into a Digital version for iPhone/iPad.

    Maybe a CoX Mini Creator for said devices. Seems like $0.99 wouldnt be too bad of a price for that.

  8. The Brothers of Agincourt will be holding a everchanging contest for Base Builders.

    Rules:
    -Any SG/VG with a base on any server may enter.
    -Only 1 entry per SG/VG. (Collaborate with your SG/VG so multiple postings are sent)
    -In case of multiple Postings, Only the First Submission is Counted (so collaborate with your group to determine submissions)
    -Within 2 weeks of the posting of the Next Contest, the Entries will be looked at by the regular members of the Brothers of Agincourt SG alone and we will pick the one we think is best, for the previous contest. (Pretty much myself)
    -Winners will be judged on Creativity, Looks, and Design.
    -The Base Prize will be 20 million inf (or 40 million for month long contests) that will be converted into Prestige for the winning SG/VG.
    -The Prestige will be converted by a member of Brothers of Agincourt. So be sure there is no problem with that member being temporarily invited into the SG/VG.
    -Each contest will end on either the 15th or the 30th/31st of the month.
    -After the contests ends, the Brothers of Agincourt will post some of the submissions onto its website gallery.
    -The contest might range from something simple to something complex.
    -Submissions may include as many pictures as the submittee wants, as well as videos.
    -----(FYI: I will not go through the trouble of finding a compatible video player if it is in a format my computer cannot already read.)
    -----(I am extremely computer Literate, so compressing multiple files is extremely welcome. Lol.)
    -Should you already have the challenge built in your base and it meet the requirements, that can be submitted as your entry.

  9. Check the link in my signature. I have done most of my base as outdoor style. Its not a completely up to date gallery, more is on the way. But there are a couple of pictures that might help you. You'll want to look at the Pictures with the labels:

    Great Hall Original = You'll want to look at the Miyuki Gravel with Brown and Green colors. This can be used to represent grass and dirt.
    City Street 1 = Using "Rubble 3" from the "Room Details" tab, you can make a street that has no clipping.
    City Street 2 = Another image of the streets with no clipping. (note: this takes a little whole depending on how large of a street you want to make.)
    Armory & ALchemy Lab = outside concept of buildings I made for the city streets.
    Gladiator Arena = look at the ceiling. Its supposed to be something like a glass roof that you can see the sky through. or you can just try to color the black bars the same color as the sky to make it all appear one color. In the gladiator room i used light blue for a daytime sky, in the Tavern picture i used dark puple for a night sky.

    THe last idea i figure you could use, is if you take a banner, and change SG colors both to black, and place banners all the way around the room, it looks like its just surrounded by darkness. Combine that witht he night time sky and it would have a nice effect.

  11. So this is just for fun. Me and some roommates were talking about multi-classing/archetyping/etc in some MMO's we play. My question is if you were to MultiArchetype in CoH? What would you be?

    Simple Rules are:
    -Don't count Archetype Generic Abilities into your choices.
    -You can't choose the same AT 2 times.
    -Max of 50 Levels
    -Each Time you choose a level for an AT, you gain a level in the AT as if you were only a single AT toon of that level. Example: Level 10 tanker, Level 5 Defender and I take another level of defender, im now a level 6 defender, and would only have access to any of the powers that a lvl 6 defender would have access to.

    I would Probably make a Tank (32 or 38 Levels) with Defender (18 or 12 Levels)

    I'm assuming you are talking about a Stalker's Hide? If so then I honestly didn't see it being a problem before Fitness went inherent. You have to have the prereq powers in order to get up to See Invis. In PvE seeing the stalkers matters not (unless the stalker is an NPC), and in PvP not all players will be willing to take the other levels just for the ability to see stalkers.

    Doing that would take away some of the specialness of the Veteran Reward in my opinion. I was trying to not step on the toes of vet rewards, accolades, powers that are tier 6 from the primary or secondary pools, or any of the Epic/Ancillary Powers.

    Can you give me some examples of what you consider overpowered. I always like to figure oue what people think is too good and such? And I guess I should also fix the requirements in order to get the Tier 5 power. You would have to be lvl 26 and have at least 3 other powers of the pool.
  17. Thanks all for the positive feedback and posting your ideas as well. Especially the leaping one. It got me thinking. While I love Shield Charge and Lightning Rod, and the Idea for an attack similar where you leap into the air and land on the ground doing an AoE effect. I think i might have thought of a another Idea for the leaping pool. It would be a whole lot more fun than I think it would be useful, but thats why i like it so much.

    Destructive Landing-Passive: When you land on the ground after leaping into the air, you create a localized tremor based on the height in which you fell from. (I'm assuming the system could track the peak height of a jump and then calculate distance to the ground.) To keep it from being extremely abusive the damage would have to be weak, but it would escalate with drop height and there could be a mag knockdown that escalates with it as well.

    Of course the Jumping in air power that you activate and click your target reticle is also more controllable. But it is already in the game, and i'd like each of the powers to be more unique. But still completely acceptable in my opinion.

    @magikwand, I'll admit it is redundant for most melee classes, but some classes are missing some of these mez protections, while others might just want more. And I don't see why it couldn't be used in PvP. I also only made it mez effects that I considered Physically affecting, storywise. The only other concept i had was for it to maybe be an escalating protection mag. You would have to build up to having the higher level mags.

    @Shadowclone, You are right about The Leaping and Teleport t5's possibly stepping on each others toes. So in that case I think the teleport one would be Dimension Rift. Which is a power I would Love to see made. And I really want to see the Animation idea I had for the t5 Leaping set power.

    @OneWhoBinds, I set them as Tier 5 to make it powers that made you feel like you really mastered the powerpool. I really like the idea for the Fighting Pool. Simple yet fits the concept of the pool, and its unique, and useful. Your idea for the leaping set seems a little 2 weak for my tastes. Feels like its hand clap with different animation. I think it should fit the appeal of being a tier 5 pool. I could see another way of breaking someone's spirit would be maybe a de-toggle effect. A power that de-toggles enemies would be awesome. The 20 second duration on the Speed one I dont like to much, But changing it so it only affects Ranged and Melee does make sense. And I could see Inspire Confidence being in either the presence or Leadership Pools.

    @Pyro_Master, I didn't give mez protection to everything, but everything that i felt was a physically affecting mez effect. And while it is protection to alot of things, it is a weaker mag, and i wasnt planning on give mez resist with it, just the mag protection. How Air Mastery would work, i imagined that when you would be subject to a knockback or knockdown effect, you maybe do the backflip emote instead or a jump backwards style emote and land firmly on your feet. It could maybe be like a prepared self rez. You prepared the medicines needed, so that if you would be knocked unconscious you automatically become conscious. Or if the self rez doesn't make sense while you are dead. It could have a story that you modified your Hospital Teleport device to auto rez you if you die, which can only be used once every so often. It can only be used once every so often.

    From the Brink = Through modification and/or preparation you can resuscitate yourself.

    For the Adrenaline Boost, there is one that is self-heal, but I can't remember if it heals based off a percentage amount, or a set number that is modified by percentage from enhancements. But this one also grants a bonus to other things. Or it could be something that makes it impossible for you to be knocked unconscious for the duration, but doesn't heal you during it, so you stay at 1 hp until it expires or you are healed, it would give you a recovery bonus while in effect, and when its done it drains you of endurance only.


    How do all of these sound?
  18. Was running a task force one night and thought "I would like to see a tier 5 power for each power pool". Told teammates then I was asked what they would be.

    So I gave it some thought. These powers wouldnt be available until lvl 26 or something. Maybe not til 30. I tried my best to make them balanced in regards to what they do. Some are meant for fun, some meant for usefulness, some for both.


    Fighting
    -Test of Endurance = Click: While Test of Endurance is active you gain limited protection from Stuns, Holds, Knockbacks, Sleep, Immobolize, Repel, and Teleport effects. (Was thinking Mag 2 or 3 Prot, not too much, but an amount that could help.)

    Flight
    -Air Mastery = Passive: Your control over the airflow created when you fly gives you increased chances of deflecting ranged attacks. Anytime you would be knocked back, your control of the air makes you land safely on your feat.

    Concealment
    -See Invisibility = Toggle: With this power active you can see through almost all forms of stealth. (Was thinking of Excluding Superior Invisibility and the Maelstrom Stealth.)

    Leaping
    -Extraordinary Leap = (Only available on Outside Maps) Choose a Location on the map and you do a running leap through several layers of atmosphere to the location you designate.

    Presence
    -Inspire Confidance = Click: Your presence inspires your teammates and increase their performance all around. +20% Damage +20% Accuracy, +5% Regen, +5% Recov, +5% Def, +5% Resist (All unenhanceable, And set to a time that could not be made perma)

    Medicine
    -From the Brink = Self Rez
    OR
    -Adrenaline Boost = Click: When you click this power you immediately regain 20% of your total health, and 10% of your total endurance and are protected from Endurance Drain, Regen Debuff, and Recovery Debuff for 1 minute.

    Speed
    -After Image = Passive: While you have Superspeed Active you move so fast it causes your enemies to think you aren't exactly where you appear, causing them to miss you more often.(This would take the form of a defense buff, unless its possible with current coding for a -ToHit debuff to be applied only when a power is used against YOU)

    Teleportation
    -Dimension Rift = Teleport to a zone of your choice that isn't restricted to you.
    OR
    -Greater Teleport = (Only Available on Outside Maps) Teleport to any marker on the map. (Would pop up a map and the player would click on the marker then teleport right to it.

    Leadership
    -Clarity of Mind: = Having your teammates around you, helps keep your mind clear from distraction and outside thought. Click: +1 Mag Protection From Fear and Confuse Per Teammate in Range, and +2% Psi Def per teammate in range. was thinking Range 15 ft. or maybe 20.
    OR
    -Maybe it lets you choose 1 of 5 Roles. The power would only affect you, and you can only have 1 Role power at a time. Not to be confused with having one active at a time. Once you pick one, you can't pick another until you respec.
    --Damage = Build Up Like Power
    --Buff = PowerBoost like power that affects buffs on the team.
    --Debuff = Powerboost like power that affects debuffs on baddies.
    --Shield = Taunt that grants you Mez resist because you are expecting the oncoming attack.
    --Lockdown = Powerboost Like power that affects Mez effects on baddies.




    Now I'm sure someone will find a way to break this somewhere and somehow, but how does it each one sound, and if you could have a tier 5 power for some pools. what would it be and do?
  19. I personally tend to Build Tanks that have a good/great defense and a strong offense. The faster I kill things the less damage I take. And It makes me feel more useful on a team as well.

    Using IO Sets Here are some examples of my builds. There are many ways to build these characters so don't take my builds as the best.


    -Invuln/EM-(Excluding Unstoppable)
    (Res&Def for most can be higher, but wanted moderate protection from Psi)
    Resist: S/L 75.7%, Fire/Cold 31.3%, Enrg/NegEnrg 30.7%, Toxic 34.4%, Psi 23.1%
    Def: S/L 44.5%, Fire/Cold 49.2%, Enrg/NegEnrg 44.5%, Psionic 18.5%

    -Willpower/Energy Melee-(Excluding Strength of Will)
    (Numbers might seem low, but it has a minimum of 690% regen, and Energy Melee Can Kill Pretty Fast)
    Resist: S/L 71.8%, Fire/Cold/Energy/NegE/Toxic = 11.9%, Psionic 49%
    Def: S/L 17.4%, Fire/Cold/Energy/NegE = 32.7%, Psionic = 26.7%

    -Shield/SS-(Excluding One With the Shield)
    (Optomized for Damage: Double Rage, Shield Charge, Foot Stomp, Melt Armor, Fire Ball)
    Resist: S/L 38.6%, Fire/Cold 16.6%, Enrg/NegEnrg/Toxic 15%, Psi 3%
    Def: Melee 56%, Ranged 52.7%, AoE 54.9%

    My Dark/Mace Tank, and Fire/Dark tank, I haven't gotten to 50 yet. But I picture the Fire/Dark being quite surviveable with 2 heals(recharge of 12 sec for heal of about 700, and 3 sec recharge for heal of about 150) and 2 AoE +End powers and a Self Rez.

    And Of course for Any tank that doesn't have a GodMode(as I like to call them) you could always get Eye of the Magus (or the villain equivalent) for those sticky situations.

    Personally:
    The Shield Tank is the best if you want to solo-grind or want to feel like you contribute more. Its great because it wipes out almost the entire mob on +2/x7 difficulty by itself. Thus you take less damage as does your team. Though some teammates might feel like they contribute less because of this. It lacks a self heal unless you take the medicine pool, and with high enough def you dont have to worry about its interruption time. Build is End Heavy with fire mastery. My think about Energy Mastery as substitute.

    Invulnerable is overall great because of its SelfHeal/+HP, its got in my opinion one of the best mixes of Resist/Def without any drawbacks. And its godmode caps your resists for everything but Psi. Its a little End Heavy, but Stamina can offset that. Energy Mastery helps as well, but Fire or Earth Mastery could be useful. Fire Because of its Res/Def debuff, and AoE damage, Earth because of its AoE sleep, AoE Slow, and AoE Hold (All of which drop the def of targets).

    Willpower is good because my regeneration gets to 1190% when surrounded by 10 things. It has a self rez and a God Mode. For its Lower resists they have a Higher def and its lower def they have a higher resist.


    In the end, if I wanted something that aimed for Survivability i would choose Shield Defense/DM(-ToHit, Self Heal, Self +End)/with Medicine Pool, or I would Choose Invuln With any Secondary.
  20. I'd like to see a feature that lets us put the Neighborhood Map Markers in each room on the map, so we can label them. It would make it easier for others who are using your base or if you are using someone elses. It would be great to look at a complicated bases map and be like "Oh! There are the teleporters!"

    Updated My Base

    Hello all.

    It's been a while since I have last posted pictures of the Brothers of Agincourt Supergroup base. I've done alot of updating to it and once I find more people to pay infl to earn me prestige I have a lot more ideas to set up.

    I created a page with a gallery of all the pictures on it, instead of people having to click on individual links to see each one. When you open the page if you click the top left most picture it will enlarge. Hit the down key to cycle through all the pictures in the correct order. And in the bottom right corner of the gallery there is a Zoom feature to enlarge the entire gallery.

    I Agree, I think with Going Rogue coming out, now would be a great time to release merchandise for gamers to purchase. CafePress would be a simple way to set everything up.

    Personally, I would like to make have a coffee mug that says "World's #1 Tank", a deck of CoX playing cards, and a CoX mousepad. I was wondering if anyone might know why there seems to be a lack of CoX merchandise to buy. Hoping someone who went to one of the conventions got a chance to ask the devs about it. Just curious.
